Welcome to my channel: Elevated by Sarah Adnan! As I embark on a new journey of pursuing a career path in Interior Design, I wanted to start a VLOG series that will document a day in the life of what I’m currently doing to get there and what steps I'm taking to reach the final destination of owning my own Interior Design Studio. Through each episode, I’ll be sharing tips on what I’ve learnt thus far and what has helped me open new doors and conversations in this new industry.
As the first episode of this series, it made sense to start with the topic of "GETTING STARTED" If you're someone like me who's always had a passion Interior Design and has been wanting to explore it as a career path, then I hope that the tips I've shared here bring value to you AND encourage you to make the move in the right direction. If you're NOT wanting to become an Interior Designer, then this episode is still going to be super useful because as a Marketing professional, who has worked in this profession for 6 years for reputable companies, I certainly know a thing or two about how to build your brand, effectively and successfully.

"Inviting industrial" is my favorite style.(I didn't know this was a thing until I did some searching).It's a combination of modern Scandinavian design and casual industrial is fun, unique, and very allows for lots of 's designers did a great job translating my idea into a solution that I truly loved.

Haven’t finished the video yet but I can relate sooo much with you..I just have. Question...in today’s social media frenzy and transparency is it possible to build a popular brand without putting yourself and personal life out there? I’m a very introverted person and I can never imagine making videos n putting myself out there...I can do the rest though lol

I’m 18 years old newly out of high school and I’ve been thinking of pursuing Interior Design as my career since like 7th grade. I’m getting super nervous about it, do you think you would have any tips on working with a company first than moving to a you owned company?
My 11th grader wants to be an interior designer. What steps do you recommend she take now to prepare for her dream?
I have a specific question about starting up my instagram and brand website. Is there any rules I should know about posting images to create a mood board like instagram? What images can I use to get started since I do not have completed projects yet? Any? I do not want to make it look like I am calling someone else's work my own. I plan to build up a portfolio but in the meantime I would like to start branding myself with some mood board images. Thanks!

What about teens that want to start out...do you recommend going straight to college to do a bachelor in interior designing?
Yes definitely, for students who are graduating high school and want to pursue Interior Design, it's always best to go to a college/university to get their undergrad accreditation.
@@SarahAdnan Hello Sarah, I was in the health path for 2 years, but recently decided to switch to interior design; there is a community college that offers and interior design associates degree, do you think that would work to work at a firm? Or would I need to go to school another 4 yrs?
Hey! Wanted to know about the course you mentioned, is that sufficient enough to be a professional interior designer, I mean there are so many highly educated students and professionals with actual degrees from renowned colleges. why would anyone hire me ?
You have to bring your own creativity and skill to sell your ideas to the right audience. Having education is important but so is the muscle to run a business which you gain from experience

hello this kind of confusing me... i'm a senior high graduate and looking for an interior design school so i've found this, does it really take one year? but why some of the universities here in the philippines that offer this kind of course takes 4 years? i mean can i get a diploma or this is just certifcate?
Is it okay if a 11 year old spends about 8hours making my own designs on what to do for being an interior designer
