    I've always loved the idiotic opinion that because a band sells records and increases their fan base that they are somehow wrong in doing so as if any band would not want to be successful and have a strong fan base that buys their albums. Like all bands should stay underground and unknown simply because YOU want them to. You can't make a living playing in front of 3 people in dive bars for the rest of your life. People should be happy that the bands that they love are getting more recognition and having more people listen to them and spreading the word about this band that you love instead of looking at it as a negative thing.

    My thing is you need the Cradle of Filths the Marilyn Mansons,Dimmu etc, because that's what gets you into the "Underground" stuff. Punk and Metal have a weird thing where it's not cool to be successful or open minded to other genres and it bugs me, Dani a real one though

    • @crusnikrage2337
      @crusnikrage2337 Před 5 lety +2

      in hindsight, marilyn manson was not as strong or self accountably moral as he portrayed himself. ever since leaving interscope records its been a sharp downfall. the artistry, the lyrics, his ideas , his lack of an enlightening self progressive message have all died. being in hollywood and wanting to be an actor hanging around that sort has weakened and killed his former brilliant, insightful and danger to status quo mind. he is now all he used to fight. i believe he broke all the sins in the antichrist superstar booklet. i care less about him betraying me as a fan, but i care more that he betrayed himself. his final lesson he taught to me is to never give yourself over to idolize anyone for that power you see in them was within you all along.

      @@vampire_state_building1925 no doubt you have to allow them to evolve. after all no man can tell another what he sees through his own eyes, these paths we walk are our own. which is why i said i was more disappointed he betrayed himself. if he hadn't succcumb to hollywood and his own weaknesses, his impact in music and other mediums would've been too hard to question. i respect a man like maynard james keenan because you see he chose to continue to evolve to realize his true potential. manson somewhere along the way just stopped.

    One thing I do admire greatly about Dani is that he's one of those very few lyricists who in songs whether they are extensive or short, he creates sophisticated lyrics that are almost impossible to memorize no matter how many times you listen to it; for example the Cruelty and The Beast album; a masterpiece album with very difficult to memorize its entire lyrics.
    About the COF shirts there are some shirts I wanted to have but for some reason they're either not around anymore or they're very hard to acquire. Jesus is a Cunt shirt is one of those that I've been wishing to get for so long but are very difficult to find where I'm from... damn I want one so bad.

      @@peggycreek5104 Cradle Of Filth aren't Goth. They dress like a lot of classic Black Metal bands. It's some of their fanbase that happen to be Goth. It's really Dani's lyricism, and the theatrical vibe of their music that attracts the Goth crowd.

      It was disappointing. I guess. Really went after Vikernes, any way it could. I dont know much about scenes and relevance, but I very much like Cradle of Filth, just started listening to them in 2021. I'm late to the party!

      @@saltpeter7429 yep. Exactly. Because of Varg's """controversial""" views mostly. Although he's not 100% innocent, Euronymous got what he deserved if every single person in norwegian scene isn't lying that is.
      Also, CoF has put out some of the best albums in extreme/gothic metal. Dusk and Her Embrace, Cruelty and the Beast, Midian... but the last 3 albums were the worst IMHO. Couldn't find a memorable song or melody.
