Are game developer companies on crack these days or what? How can this be??? I was waiting for this as well, being a HUGE fan of COH2 (notice i didn't say COH3)...

@@kylegaroby Can we at least expect some basic competency from developers, or is that too much to ask? If you can't figure out how to implement basic RTS features properly, maybe don't make a "COH clone". Nobody wants to play an RTS or driving game with horrible controls either.
But honestly, this is exactly what I expect from tiny dev teams these days, especially when tackling a complex genre like this: Copy an existing idea, get halfway there, hype everybody up, run into technical issues, release broken game, run out if funds, close shop after a few insignificant patches, because broken game didn't sell.

I've noticed Kyle is Defending the devs on many comments. nothing wrong with that, he does have some valid points. untill we see ourself how bad of a state the game is in which should still have been in development stage and from what i've readt others say if true they didnt include stuff we were promised.

3 years in development and more than 70 percent of the features that were planned on release turns out was for late 2025

About rts war games, could you play the game called ''63 days'' idk when the game will come out but the demo is on steam
Its not very good. I played the demo and "meh". No immersion too. The individual character controls isn't an RTS really, its a point-and-click story game.
gonna be honest never really saw the reason for hype in this game even the trailers and previews looked bad
Might be that people just really want good RTS games and this could have been that title to fill the gap. Maybe. Or we all just wanted furry WW1 to happen.

Looks like the programming needs serious work. Props to the art team, though, damn. Looks really nice. However, that can't overcome some of the massive - simply basic RTS needs - issues the game has currently. Could need a year or two more in EA to fix these.

Real shame is we’re still waiting on more updates and more polish but CZcamsrs slander the game before it even gets to that point.
Played the early access today, it's definitely in need of improving but I'm willing to say give it time and it will be better

Such a shame, they had a good idea. Shame to see the execution is so flawed. Maybe they can patch it but I doubt they will. Probably won't receive many patches from here on before it gets abandoned.

Well, I am not surprised, just the setting concept - insted of makeng proper WW1 or Steampunk with Ratsman, the developers decided to do WW1 with Ratsmen. Why? When I saw this idea, I expected, that it will be bad :D
Damn, the awful voice lines from the public demo are still in the game.
Pathfinding is still awful, units still can't hit anything and getting into cover still sucks.
EA version is more stable than the demo version, but it is just as bad.
And that demo got removed from steam within 24h of being released.

You tried Easy Red 2? Looks like a game from 2012 but it's in early access. Cool concept and pretty fun. They have a roadmap of stuff for the year too which included lots of graphic enhancements and stuff. Only $8.99 as well but got it on sale for $5. I sound like I work for them but nah haha if you buy it though hit them up and let them know 😂

I just picked up The Great War Western Front and am having a blast. Can’t believe I didn’t buy before but now I don’t feel much of a loss if Ratten Reich is looking possibly disappointing.
I just got that on sale the other day also, it's pretty solid so far
Its pretty solid but the dev seems to abandoned it kinda shame cause its pretty fun, kinda repetitive tho

Bought it, and almost puked my internal organs at how bad the game is right now.
It seems as if the publisher forced them to release it in pre-alpha as early access.

I think you're overcritical with this game. It is early access, I think, as you said, it looks gorgeous and the style feels quite innovative. I'll definitely buy and try by myself.

@@阿正-g8e you're falling again into an extreme saying "0 playable". You can play it, and more content will be added. Some folks say that this is much better than the demo and the devs are quite aware of the bugs.
The worst I could find was the mission in Africa because you need to micromanage a lot and with the bugs it is almost impossible to enjoy it and complete it.
@@Nalber3 the basic RTS mechanic is not working at all, and the dev clearly know it, some issue are already in the demo and now still exist, the path finding and getting cover or even healing, the concept and setting is very good and that's true but when it come to execute, it just fall apart

There has been almost no improvement, in fact many say things have gotten worse, mechanics wise.
Until some actual content is added , this is just a desperate funding injection at best, and at worst the first signs of an abandoned early access title.

@@Canis_Corpus that's actually not true. Being a solo dev has never been easier. Getting your textures is cheaper and faster now. Only modeling is harder, programming is also easier, engines are also easier to use and this is from experience. Don't listen to those CZcamsrs, this is the truth.(only case where it's true are the simulators)

Was there just too much to develop and make by the promised early release date? What happened why does it seem so buggy mustve been hard to debate on either postponing the game or release it at such a state either way results in negative backlash hopefully the game gets fully finished and take a look again i need a COH 2 fix

It's early access, if you want to wait, then do so. But most of the pathfinding bugs are pretty common in company of heroes etc.

My brotha, pathfinding was the least of the problems here. The troops here had targetting problem, as shown right at the start of the vid.

Its titles to a video like this that make a game still I'm development not get support I've played it and it's fine I didn't have as many issues as you did the soldier's did handle wanky but this game is still cooking and i can't wait to see what more can be done in late 2025

@@阿正-g8e bro Coh is a triple A title that is fully released the units don’t really do what you want them to some times like Units get stuck, tanks drive in reverse towards the enemy, or take the worst route to retreat, plus’s they stopped updating the game (on console). So if that’s triple A then ratten reich ain’t far off. And it’s in early access chief it takes time for smaller teams.
Yeah it's clear the game looks super rough. There's nothing special about the game aside from the fact they're all rats, might as well be a MoWAS or GoH mod pack. The dev might've gone a bit over their heads with this project, a tad bit too ambitious. Thanks for the video, gonna skip this one.

I always called bs on this thing and everyone hated on me, now time has proven me right
