    Just bought the Nimbus 25 after comparing them with the NB, Saucony and Hoka max cushion comparables. The Nimbus was the most expensive but I didn’t care everything about it felt better from top to bottom. I see a lot of people complaining about price, that aspect is the reason I only buy max cushion shoes they last longer making the price lower in the long run (pun intended).

    • @Dee.K.Mikaelson
      @Dee.K.Mikaelson Před 9 měsíci

      Max cushion used to be longer lasting.
      Not so much now.
      I've got years old hoka Stinson's I've done tens of marathons and training in, .still going..
      But the newer models definitely break down loads quicker..and I mean something like ..2 marathons and you can tell the cushion has peaked ( worn in) and is about to tip into losing the cush.

    I've been wearing the Nimbus lineup since the Nimbus 7, and the 25s here have a lot for me to be considered one of the best. Asics went big on this design, we shall see how it stands up over the year. Can't wait for them to finally show up in Canada... Any day now... Come on.

    Great video Ben, I bought these with 15% off and free delivery at Sportsshoes, my first pair of 'easy run' shoes and had my first run today. They do exactly what it says on the tin and I love them, legs even felt better after the run than before. No good for picking up the pace but for easy runs (long or short) they're perfect!

    Not familiar with running shoes, out shopping, I saw an small elderly lady wearing a shoe that looked soft and comfy when she was walking, and me being a light person too, I asked her if I could take a photo of the shoe, came back, checked and it was the Asics Nimbus 25. I ordered mine at 3am the day they were released in the uk, wore them today, lovely shoe but I’m a novice runner not sure the £175 I paid gives me much difference to the Novablast - still love them though, reserving for long runs over a couple of hours only

    I respect all comments but I personally consider the thickness reduction of the tongue a mistake. If you have the 'navicular' area of your foot a bit prominent these shoes and even the Nimbus 24 are not comfortable at all. The Nimbus 23 were better in terms of comfort, this Nimbus 25 are better for the performance. Indeed the big soil is made to accumulate energy capable to transmit a push in your run...if the cushion were too soft the effect would be like sinking....This is why in spite of the shape they are overall less comfy. Still nice shoes though.

So now I am planning to buy this asics gel nimbus 25 or 26 so can you tell me for how many years the cushion gel will be available in the shoe because as the cost of the product is very high so I am expecting the comfort and cushion and gel present in the product has to be sustained at least for 1835 working days. Hi Ben, how is this compared to invincible 3

    • @BenIsRunning
      @BenIsRunning  Před rokem

      It’s a little firmer in terms of the midsole and a little more traditional :)

    • @BenIsRunning
      @BenIsRunning  Před rokem +1

      The invincible 3 is very soft and ideal for recovery running, the nimbus has a little more firmness to the midsole which for me is better for my easy and long runs so they fall into slightly different categories. Both. If updates so guess it just comes down to preference. Think you’d probably get on well with either :) not sure I could pick between them at this point.

      Invincible 3 is more of a recovery shoe where as the nimbus seems suited more for my easy/long runs so probably will get more miles in the nimbus but both shoes will definitely be in my rotation. Big updates to both :)
