A year ago when this channel started, I was worried about Alex struggling to find his own unique angle among the sea of car reviewers. But Alex stuck true to his words, promising us road trips, challenges and shit boxes.
Now, we can safely add in friendship. From Alex being the sole presenter, we suddenly had Rory, followed by Taylor, then now there's mark, freddy n co and suddenly everyone's in a suv having a hell of a time behaving like lunatics on Nurburgring. No other youtuber can claim to have anything remotely similar to this.
I am so grateful for this channel.

I agree. When it first started there were teething problems and I wasn’t sure it was gonna work. But especially with the addition or Taylor. I always thoroughly enjoy them!

The absolute glee and joy within the cabin of that z3 on the lap was so ecstatic and contagious. I'm honestly so glad that Taylor managed to have such an incredible time, especially given the battle his MINI gave him (and coming from someone with one, i know the feeling). As for Mark, well, the man is just so on brand, he brings a pile of shit, that doesnt even make it on track, and still has a massive smile on his face, he's brilliant. All i can say is thanks for this series, cos its been incredible.
And I think it goes without saying, Misha is an absolute legend, nothing but respect for his work with making Nurburgring content possible, with all creators. It's also nice to see Tavarish in this setting, he really fits in and I hope he enjoyed his European adventure 🤣

Dunno how you're doing this Alex, but right now, the crew of you, Taylor and Freddie is genuinely working like the Top Gear trio. There's that chemistry, and it feels like early episodes of the Clarkson+Hammond+May Top gear. Keep at it!
For context, I said “early episodes” because the trio took a moment to kinda find that shared language and defined the boundaries for jokes and such which now we know as “if you break down we ain’t waiting” and such. And I think Freddie being American is actually a good addition to the show as the banter from the differences between UK/Europe and the US can be joked about both ways, like “uhhh you Americans just drive straight all the time” “yeah well British roads are at least 70% roundabouts” or something
Agreed this is the only thing that comes close to og top gear just a bunch of proper petrolheads having a laugh
Tom is a superstar for getting the jag to the ring and Mischa is a beast for driving big pete and 7 dudes around the ring plus overtaking other cars and motorcycles. Awesome video

@WTBLNT there is a special on CarThrottle when he went to Germany and visited his grandma's old house, which was part of his childhood.
he is german but also in schools in Europe you can learn german. don't know if all schools do it the same way but for us it was between french spanish and german. so it's fairly common for people in Europe to speak a little of one of those 3 languages. me i picked german but never went to class except for those 2-3months when we had that 22year old substitute teacher with the big mellons. every single guy in the school tried to hit on her. imagine being 22 and getting a bunch of 13-14 year olds hitting on you 🤣🤣🤣
Tavarish and Mischa were hilarious together. The most and least experience on the ring in the same car. It says so much about how calm Mischa is while at a cars limits when you see tavarish’ face through those corners. Tavarish is calm for someone’s first time in the passenger seat too.. that’s just how calm Mischa is.

Hands down! $650 purchase, as fast or faster than the competition, and more fun. The concept of 4-6-8-10 was fun, except there's not enough budget for a track-oriented v8 or v10. The 4 and 6 categories were the only ones with a fighting chance, and Alex chose a (very cool) car with zero upgradeability.
Got to give it to the z3 indeed.
BMW needs to come back with new Z models. They were pretty successful and great cars back then.
That was so worth the wait! I laughed solidly. Taylor a total riot, Alex & Rory’s terrified face pulling and Tom just loving it. First class!
The oldest car, with no mods whatsoever was the only one that made it without any issues. Only issues it had were caused by the german part on it - the bosch calipers and that's it. The absolute winner for me. You did it zero justice, yet it delivered. Hope you put some love into it finally.

Maybe a good idea for next cheap car challenges, use a dragracing style oil pan/engine block diaper. So if the block decides to throw a rod, it catches all the oil instead of throwing it on the track.
