    Glad you had some time to make another video for us! I know you have a lot going on, but I truly look forward to watching your new videos! I'm in zone 7, so most of my succulents spend half the year inside under grow lights. I hate bringing them in for winter but it has to be done! Except for my Sempervivum and sedum of course, they do great outdoors here in winter. I'll have to get that sedum Atlantis, it's gorgeous!

      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  Před rokem

      Atlantis seems to be a fast grower and soooo pretty. It will definitely do well in my outdoor garden since it's also frost hardy but will keep a pot indoors during winter.

I had been renting for years and tried not to collect too many pot plants but now I have bought a home and after seeing your videos I want to add more. Love what you do. Also, Pedro is very cute.

    You should buy an in-line fan for your growtent as prevention of mold and fungus. I also I leave the door open in my growtent and I keep my portable air conditioner blowing in the room my plants live in for the winter to aid in air circulation. I live in Canada and my plans have to live inside for about 3-4 months a year. I’ve never had any mold or fungus issues.

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  Před 10 měsíci +1

      There's a fan inside the tent. Never was there ever any fungus inside the tent. Might have to do with those few newly acquired plants. I usually don't buy plants before winter but I thought I'd give it a go this year. It could also have something to do with fungus epidemic this year due to high humidity. Thanks for watching and hope you have a mild winter this year.

    • @CarolineCouture-os3ug
      @CarolineCouture-os3ug Před 10 měsíci

      @@GrowingSucculentswithLizK I seen your fan hun, but I’m talking about the in-line duct fans that sit at the top of the grow tent above the growlights. They suck the humidity and heat out of the tent through a duct and out of a window. I grow succulents indoors in the winter, but I grow cannabis indoors year round and I use an 8x8 growtent . The legal amount of flowering plants at a time in Toronto is 4 so I always have 4 flowering and more clones vegging out. Maybe the fungus and mold came from an infected plant, but maybe it’s the humidity in the tent . I know the first crop I did in my tent without the inline fans got mould on them and they were already flowering so I had to scrap them and start over. But since I’ve had the ventilation I’ve had zero issues with fungus or mould, not even a fungus gnat. Also have you tried mosquito bits? You can mix that into your water and kill all the gnats and eggs.

    Happy Spring Liz 😊 I lost most of my plants when I moved to the desert 🏜 in Arizona. It was 121 😢 and my plants just died. I have found bits and pieces of some of them. So, I start again! Most of them just boiled. I am trying some inside until it cools off. Hope Wall is good. I still watch your videos and still enjoy learning. 😊what is that beautiful plant in your tent. It is shaped like a village and purple pink. Thanks for all your Vlogs

    Hello Liz, thank you for all your love, dedication and knowledge. I unintentionally bought a variegated euphorbia - my question: will it be ok in the sun? Thank you ❤

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  Před rokem +1

      I find that some variegated succulents lose their color if exposed to full sun. Bright indirect spot is initially where I placed them and slowly introduce them to open area. If the plants starts to show sign of losing variegation, then I put them back to a bright indirect spot.

      Beer in shallow food container around the garden and pots works well and also snail and slug pellets.

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  Před rokem +1

      The best way to treat fungus gnats is to open the bag and leave it out in the sun for a month to dry up the soil. I never used to get them because of this practice. Will have to do this again.
