- Hello friends thank you for watching, this is Norman our European Eagle Owl. He is 6 years old and came to us last year. He has been enjoying the Covid-19 lock down getting nice and chubby and moulting his feathers. But now that we are able to offer our handling sessions again he is coming back into work. This video shows him flying back and forth on his creance line, with only a few distractions from a very active and noisy green wood pecker!!
Dont forget that we offer experience sessions here at Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre where you can actually come and fly Norman and our other birds for yourself. Or if you fancy just a simple visit the centre is open from 10am-4pm Tuesday to Sundays all year round, and is free to enter. Simply visit www.feathersandfur.co.uk for more information.

I love how the owl scan the area like a radar. It never stop to look around. Magnificent living being...
Beautiful owl
Big respect for using a transmitter even with a creance. Nobody thinks their creance is going to break, but with such a long length of line there’s so many chances to fail. Great job with Norman!
We never take the risk, You’re right it’s always a possibility.
What an absolute BEAUTY 😍
So so cool, man. This is absolutely beautiful, watching that connection between them!
you mean the rope?
I had one of those in my balcony once , they are so beautiful!
Great video, beautiful bird
Please post more Norman videos. He is so sweet!🦉
Crazy how strong ther grip is just an amazing bird
Awwww bless him :) Great video as always
Very nice to watch , great job.
The lords and ladies of the night 🙂 If anyone has a rodent problem, call in an Eagle Owl!
We need more videos from you !!
Excellent Video I can say working one of these magnificent specimens they are hard work unlike working Hawks and Falcons Happy New year and stay safe
Wonderful video. So glad I found you, we enjoyed our summer experience and look forward to our Xmas one this year. What makes it, for us, is you - along with the birds. Your passion and enthusiasm is infectious. Your delivery and portrayal is exactly what it needs to be - accurate, loving and patient. We have all the time in the world for you and your birds, and will be regular annoyances!
Thats so awesome! He's such a smart owl. I would love to do that someday soon ☺. An absolute beauty
Would you happen to know the prosses of acquiring a wildlife state permit?
WOW!....so so beautiful :)
Thank you.
Hi, owl 😊😊😊
omg I
love how quite it is
Good boy 😆🎵
Do you think in the fictional world Warlocks have owls for pets?
The first ever owl I held was an eagle owl
They are stunning owls :)
Mine was a black chested buzzard eagle, and in the same day, a female eurasian eagle owl.
@0 0 same
I have held 3 birds on a glove of which this spectacular species is the biggest btw i am a wheelchair user the other 2 were a barn owl and a harris hawk
I would love to hold a barn owl😩
Hope everything is ok you've been off the radar for a bit, hope you put some more videos on soon 👍
Great video !! What tidbits are you using to train him? My male is very picky and I have yet to zero in on something that gets his attention to fly after he's seen it more than a couple times
How loud is the male? Have the opportunity to get one but a little concerned of continuous hooting all night..
What is the difference an European eagle-owl & Eurasian eagle-owl⁉️
He lands on the arm easier than the post watch
I have see eagle 🦅
Would you be able to post a goshawk video soon?
Luca Smith sorry we don’t have a gos here at the centre x
