    Ingredients 材料 :
    220g mung bean flour (绿豆粉)
    50g plain flour (普通面粉)面粉
    80g icing sugar (糖粉)
    70g almond powder (杏仁粉)**Almond powder is available at supermarket or Chinese herbal shop (杏仁粉可以在超市或药材店购得)
    50g whole almonds, toasted and chopped coarsely
    60g corn oil (玉米油)
    2 tbsp water (水)

    Tried the recipe and find it very close to the the Macau almond cookies. Btw, I blended fresh Chinese almond (sweet n bitter almond) for the almond flour and it smells exactly like the Macau almond cookie. Unfortunately, as few others had mentioned, the cookies stick to the teeth. If this puzzle can be solved then it will be perfect. I tried baking twice. First time I added to much water and second time too little water. 😂Overall the taste was good. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

    I like macao almond cookies. I'm going to try making it. How many pieces can this recipe make? Is it ok if I don't fry the flour. What is the purpose of frying the flour?

    杏仁茶的杏仁是apricot或sweet almond,南杏仁,如果用almond粉做味道會不一樣。

      Yes you are correct. You either use the 杏仁茶 powder or ground your own 南杏仁 (apricot kernel). In U.S. almond粉 is call almond flour or almond meal.

    Are you sure it's not almond flour that you buy in supermarket by Bob's red mill. Its ground up almonds. Maybe you can show us a picture or a link to buy almond flour or mung bean flour.

    i use a wooden mould, dust with mung bean flour, but the cookies all broken when i knocked it out. very difficult to remove from mould. any tips? it is very crumbly, i add more water and oil, but the cookies become a chewy.

    Hi Katherine, I just baked these almond cookies. May I know what can we adjust to the recipe if I want a more softer texture ? Can the baking time reduce ? Will that make the cookies less hard ? Also, may I know the almond flour you used, is it plain almond flour without sugar added , or the one where sugar and milk powder is added. Chinese medical hall store sells a few type of almond flour in canister.

    Hi kathrine, I tried d Macao biscuit n followed exactly as per tutorial but I feel there isn’t enough water to bind d dough n I added a wee bit more. However d cookie turned out hard n crunchy instead! 😢
