      @therealist2866 Před 3 lety +2

      phaedra 5 it is not.
      When dealing with state-owned enterprises in a COMMERCIAL context, a clause waiving the defense of sovereign immunity in commercial arbitration is a STANDARD clause all over the world because it is a well-settled principle of international law that sovereign immunity only applies to the sovereign acts of a nation and does not extend to the COMMERCIAL actions. Accordingly, such a partial waiver provision is not unique to Nigeria.

Even in one of the smallest states in Nigeria, Enugu State, folks are still campaigning for a new Adada State and separation from each other, despite ethnicity, cultural and linguistic homogeneity!
      Nope! The problem in Nigeria lies not with the so-called “carcass” but rather what lies within it - the PEOPLE!

  • @kolawoletony2266
    @kolawoletony2266 Před 3 lety +11

    You borrowed money from China, gave the contract to a Chinese company, which in turn would bring in Chinese workers. Yet, the principal and interest would be paid on a loan with not much benefits to Nigerians. Nigerians selling Nigeria into slavery all over again. May God help us.

    • @therealist2866
      @therealist2866 Před 3 lety

      Kolawole tony if you are getting the loan from the Chinese govt’s Export-Import Bank, which is Chinese taxpayers’ money, why do you think they will give you the loan if not to contract a Chinese company? Or do you think they will give you Chinese taxpayers’ funds to go hire a US or UK company?
      A loan is balanced between the CREDIT (cash) you get and your DEBT (interest and principal payments), with the interest effectively being the PRICE of the money you are getting. These basics are not unique to Nigeria (and btw, the interest rates on those Chinese loans are significantly lower than any commercial rates or any rates we would likely get on Western loans).
      Meanwhile, the real “much benefits to Nigerians” is that we are getting modern standard gauge double-track rail lines that can substantively and substantially REVOLUTIONIZE transportation (of cargo and persons) in Nigeria. These are the sorts of infrastructure projects that can provide a catalyst to sustainable economic growth - if we do it right.

    I am sincerely afraid for this country considering the crop of leaders and leadership that we currently have, how can the sovereignty of nation be added as a clause in accessing a loan? Does that not tell you that there is a hidden agenda by the Chinese? I have worked with Huawei, which is funded by the Chinese government (a Chinese company) and they run a master slave mentality.
    For every Nigerian worker their is a Chinese rep attached to under study and takeover-You can do a research about this
    .
    They are trying to use systematic and institutional approaches to enforce their agenda and they are exploiting this through endemic corruption within the Nigerian space through this institutions.
    You might ask what is the agenda of the Chinese? It is simply slavery, capitalism, racism and dominance of the developing countries.
    There is a country currently the Chinese have taken over their airport, cause they were unable to repay their loan.
    It is time Nigeria wakes up before it is to late.

    31:12 this is a very good start to rebuilding Nigeria and accountability if it's sustained we would observe a huge change with regards to infrastructural development and growth within the next 10 years, it's time to fix our act and Buhari is not joking around with these guys anymore, he has a legacy to protect and he means business.
    Nigerians have a huge role to play here with regards to following up on these projects using the transparent Nigeria website and reviewing government expenditure up until we start having government officials who are there to serve not steal.
    The president's issue is that people are getting paid and the work is not done. How can you have paid 6 million dollars in 10 years for a $500million loan facility which has 10 more years till maturity.
    Lastly we should have more Nigerians employed and trained to implement these projects in the interest of sustainability.
    We'll be back in two weeks.

    Nigeria! This part of the PROBLEM! I am beginning to think that all these public questioning are shows by commission to further confuse citizens and ultimately, the funds are gone and never to be revisited again. This pattern of BS are being done intentionally just for SHOW. Now, this is how you should be auditing any issues concerning funding, money, etc. There is what we in the auditing profession call AUDIT TRAILS. The money is received, registered and accounted for at the ministry of finance. There should be SEPARATE AGENCY OR AGENCIES EMPOWERED WITH SELECTING AND GIVING CONTRACTS. Contractors are selected, vied for due to past history of doing honest work and they must be made accountable to compliance with contract or face the pain of imprisonments. There also must be visual survey and surveillance of these contractors by separate sets of contract auditors, etc. Funding are disbursed according to percentages of work completed. Employees/ workers salaries are on constant reviews, etc. To cut all these short, AT ANY POINT OR LEVEL THE MATH DOES NOT ADD UP, ALL INVOLVED AT THE LEVEL FRAUD IS DETERMINED AND DETECTED MUST BE PUNISHED TO INLUDE FORENSIC AUDIT OF ALL INDIVIDUAL INVOLVED AND ASSETS FORFEITURES TO THE GOVERNMENT! All these are done BY SIMPLE AUDIT TRAIL AND DOCUMENTATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY! Read on SARBANE OXLEY ACT OF THE USA. Again all these shows are just to further manipulate the people of Nigeria and you all know what you are doing. Wuruwuru people!!!!!
