Great information and a good topic to have in conversations with family and friends way before these situations come up.

Oh I need this. Thank you!
My anxiety has been getting me in trouble lately. Over what should be minor things. Or what could happen or might be rather than what *is*.
As a mom, this will not fly as a long term plan. Anxiety can not run our day.
I can not let it ruin what we are working so hard for and finally beginning to attain.
It has helped us get this far with preparation and readiness for anything that came our way but now it’s overdeveloped and it is threatening to ruin our day rather than support or enhance the peace and joy in our household.
The breath, or having a drink of water, washing my face with a lavender make up wipe or lighting a smell good candle while I clean up whatever stinky mess rolls out next…
Switching from coffee to chamomile tea… or stretching. Believe it or not, taking a stretch break can move mountains of my emotional framework or taking a walk outside.
Anxious time is a good time to walk the dog or take care of some menial task to feel productive and give myself a chance to catch my mental breath.
These things can help me center, regroup, check my reality versus actual reality and quiet my version of what the Buddhists call “monkey mind”.
Thank you for this helpful review and reminder. So grateful for your work.

I’m somebody who’s usually very patient with people, and like I told you, I try to get a birds eye view of a situation, so I do my best to deduce whether it’s fact or a workable problem. I can even tell if somebody might and be horrible to me down the line, when I first meet them
But nobody breaks me down more than my mom, I’ve been in stressful and panic-inducing situations many times because of her. The feeling that she wants to ruin me never leaves me, and it makes me very sad because it’s corrupted what motherly love should really be like
But through many of the situations, I’ve learned to be better at being calm, and it’s not easy. I do breathing exercises when I’m alone, I told myself I will breakdown if she hurt me bad enough, and as a boy, that is not an easy surrender to come to grips with. I’ve had to insist to me that being calm, means the most to me, because the anger and fear can really take over
Thank you for reinforcing that it’s important to be a cooler head ❤

I’ve been struggling lately not so much with anger but with anxiety. I’m still learning how to keep boundaries. Calming down is a big stress point. Thank you for this.
