The Yache Berry callout was a thing of beauty. There are times that I wonder about PC preparing for niche cases that are so unlikely and ultimately screwing himself, but he really does know what he's doing.
Can we get a round of applause for Encore this run? That move was by far the most MVP of the run. Can’t even count the amount of times that encore allowed you to nasty plot up to max attack

@@dev509 against Cynthias garchomp, he didn’t know if it was focus sash or yache so he knocked off with scizor and sacked him to win the game
Is there a captain to explain for non nuzlocke pros?
@@johnisaacnewton269 Yache berry cuts in half the damage of an Ice type move, so cynthia's Garchomp wouldnt have died and Jan would lose against her. By using Knock Off the Garchomp lost the berry so an ice type move would do 4x damage, and if he didnt have a yache he still made him lose the sash and was easier to kill

Idk aaron is pretty tough, some of his mons got good coverage and vespiquen can kinda stall you out if you’re underleveled. In original platinum I feel like flint was the one that’s sort of a joke. Just swept him with EQ or Surf.

1985 was a good laugh
To be fair, 1985 is quite an interesting book. And way too often misappropriated by those exact people it was trying to warn against. Did you know Orwell actually fought in the Spanish civil war, on the side of the libertarian socialists/anarcho-communists, and Trotskyists? The CNT-FAI and POUM, respectively?

In my experience with this run, you can cheese the ai with substitute, if they have a move like sleep powder or will-o-wisp. Poliwrath was probably the mvp for me
Just started watching nuzlockes and trying it myself but this was a no items run. Is that just during battle and you’re allowed to heal/restore pp after battles?
yeah he can use all the items he wants out of battle, but no items in the battles

Hey Pokémon Challenges. I have been following your CZcams channel for a long time. I have seen you beat difficult games such as emerald kaizo or radical red. But I haven’t seen a person on CZcams finish Pokémon Reborn. I think with all the implementations such as field effects it’s a great game, plus the story is in my opinion the best Pokémon story ever.
I would love to see how many attempts you would need to Hardcore Nuzlocke this game with the following passwords (can be set at the beginning of the game):
• Easyhms - (no need of a HM slave)
• Hardcap - (You won’t level more than the next gym leader)
• Fieldapp - (Simple way to look up all the field effects)
• Weathermod - (change the weather for encounters)
• Shinycharm - (the shiny Pokémon in this game have different sprites and look awesome, plus the shiny % is way higher)
• Unrealtime - (again for encounters)
• Nuzlocke - (I meeeeaaan…)
Plus, one more rule: For your starter Pokémon you will need to pick a random one. There is a machine in the first room (top middle), the first shiny you get is the one you need to pick!

good videos bro, i dont know why cythia wouldnt have a lucario tho for her last pokemon instead of lopunny, that doesnt make sense
it's because there's four different teams for each elite 4 member and any of the four can randomly be chosen, so Cynthia won't always use Lucario only on some of her teams just to make it harder since you now have to prepare to face any 5 out of 20 teams rather than just 5 known ones. In this scenario for example, Lucario being weak to ground and fire and what not but you could end up facing a Lopunny instead so you need some kind of plan for either or them

I think in Renegade Platinum that’s how TMs work. They are kind of infinite like in Gen 5 onwards but it’s not programmed that way so instead you get 99.

"(No Items)" doesn't apply to TM use between fights?
No Items is like no items in battle such as healing items, berries, x-items, and so on. Items outside of battle (TMs in this case) are fine.
How could you use tm's between battle ??
@@drs516 what do you mean? They are separate battles. It’s pretty straightforward. You cant use items such as healing, status, etc. in the middle of the battle. Once you finish a battle, you can heal, use TMs, and so on. In between e4 fights, thats what he is doing, but he isn’t doing it mid battle
I know the wording in the case is a little misleading. Mid battle = During a fight, Mid battle doesn’t mean in between fights. I now understand why it can be confusing since Mid battle can be interpreted as in between battles. As long as the items arent used DURING a battle its all good

99 TMs is a quality of life feature for the Renegade Platinum Rom hack.
Good battles but whats up with 99x TMs
Pokemon Renegade tries to make TMs work like in later games

i believe Renegade Platinum gives you infinite TMs once you get or picked them up once, like 3ds games.

In regenade platinum whenever you get an tm/hm you get 99 of them so its "unlimited" amount like in bw

I'm a bit late here, but the Bronzong wouldn't have one-hit Gyarados because it only dealt that much damage before because Gyarados was -1 special defense.

At that point in time it was a t2 ban. He can't pick it up if it's a static encounter but he is aloud to use it if he gets one as a wild encounter, which he did in victory road.
