The Weird and the Wonderful DXXV: Fantastic Stories by Fritz Zilcken

Today we will cover the work of an obscure Koln based writer and rubber factory representative, Fritz Zilcken, his 1897 "Phantastische Geschichten".
We see the story of a painter's encounter with a cursed mermaid, the story the wind tells to a painter concerning death, tragedy and gambling ruin among two families, whose destinies are intertwined through the centuries, or the story of a strange nameless painter dubbed "Herod" and his peculiar knowledge of the life and times of the Herodian Kings descended from Herod the Great.
