    Fred and George should both have their personal poltergeists.
    Speaking of the Weasley Twins, they actually have a very good relationship with Peeves, and he somewhat respects them. During their exit from Hogwarts in the Order Of The Phoenix book, they tell him to "Give [Umbridge] hell from us, Peeves!" and not only does he bow in respect, for a while, Umbridge was the sole target of his pranks afterwards!
    Heck, Umbridge was so terrible, even the McGonagall got on friendly terms with Peeves, telling him how to properly unscrew chandeliers and even gave him her walking stick to hit Umbridge with it.

    Also I just read about something in the Harry Potter universe called the annual broom race that's held every year in Sweden where witches and wizards compete on brooms flying from Kopparberg to Arjeplog through a literal Dragon reservation and the trophy awarded to the winner is designed after the Swedish short-snout, and now I really want to participate just to get my hands on that trophy. This is obviously a reference to Vasaloppet, a ski race held every year in Sweden, one which my mom has aprticipated in twice and an event which I've spectated several times in the past, and I think that's just awesome.

    Snape's thoughts on the matter:
    “A five-year-old could have told us as much,” sneered Snape. “The Inferius is a corpse that has been reanimated by a Dark wizard’s spells. It is not alive, it is merely used like a puppet to do the wizard’s bidding. A ghost, as I trust that you are all aware by now, is the imprint of a departed soul left upon the earth, and of course, as Potter so wisely tells us, transparent.”

      As much as that would be amazing, and as much as I hate to be this person. I doubt Fred would choose that path. He wouldn’t be able to go on to the afterlife if he wanted to later on. (I think) So Fred would 99% choose the afterlife. He would have probably 0.01 seconds to consider. People who are scared of death, or are destined to haunt somebody (Example: Elizabeth Wareren Myrtle) , or want to do something that they couldn’t do in their lifespan, go on as a ghost. Fred wasn’t in any of those categories. And Fred probably heard a lot of ghost’s experience from the ghosts. He’d definitely chose the afterlife.

    If Peeves is indeed a Manifestation of the students unruliness (and probably significant amount of angst and anxiety) then chances are good that even Dumbledore would not find a way to get rid of him. At least not permanently, he would always eventually reappear as long as there are students to power him.
    But frankly, I just don't think Dumbledore would waste his time on such a trivial matter when there were intrigues to spin and dark magic to arm against. Peeves is only a nuisance in the grand scheme of things, and unlike other authority figures, Dumbledore was always smart enough not to be distracted by those sorts of things.
    This actually makes him fairly unique. Dumbledore always knew to let Hogwarts be Hogwarts and remained laser-focused on the real danger. This is part of what makes him so powerful as he ends up commanding loyalties from all sectors of magic society. Dumbledore could be the most successful anarchist in literature.

    • @chriswedemann8599
      @chriswedemann8599 Před 7 lety +1

      Schnuller The veil is a gate. Once passed through, the spirit is severed from the soul and the body, killing the individual who passed through. Considering the veil's age, it is possible that it is just an incarnation of Earth's need to limit the numbers of humanity, I.E., Death. The question is not "If", but possibly should be "how"? We do not know how something so ancient as the veil and something as recent as the Stone would react. We do not know anything of the magics that created the veil, and is likely forgotten or lost by Witch kind by the point in time Harry Potter exists. It is entirely possible that one or the other will simply cease to function, or perhaps both will counter act one another. Perhaps, the elemental forces within each totem would work WITH eachother, maybe killing the user and placing a dead man's spirit within the recently dead corpse. There really is no way to know, unless Rowling herself makes commentary. Which, believe me, is murder waiting for it not to happen.

    • @RicardoRizo

      @timmyt-roll9415 Před 7 lety +2

      I'd hazard a guess that the veil and the stone are connected in some way. They both act as a sort of gateway to the other side. The veil is basically a physical portal to the spirit realm, while the stone gives you the ability to somewhat see into the spirit realm. That being said, jumping through the portal with the stone probably wouldn't do anything spectacular. You'd die, just like everybody else. Maybe if you possessed all three Hollows (especially the cloak, which allows you to "hide" from death), you'd be able to walk among the dead without killing yourself in the process. Technically, you'd be master of death (or so the Legend goes), but it's a bit of a long shot.

      Mellowyellow9917 not really. I think they were described as something between solid and ghost like
      Because while hermione was reading the story and said about the bride coming back, Harry said 'so she was a ghost?' And they were like no the bride came back but not really ... it's hard to describe but I think they're like the memories in the penseive (i don't know hot that is spelled) so yeah that's my thought

    It occurred to me that the ghoul in the attic could very well be a nod to the Victorian habit of locking the crazy and or 'handicapped' person in the family they don't want anyone to know about, in the attic. In the wizard world that could be the individual who's magic had turned in on themselves, and could no longer function in society. Wizards, rather then admitting they had a member of the family locked in the attic would simply say, oh, that's my ghoul you hear banging around up there. I also would not be one bit surprised if Dumbledore had done the same thing to his sister.

      The Yeti, also known as the Abominable Snowman, is a creature from ancient Himalayan mythology, but it is thought to be real and for over 100 years people have searched for it. A Yeti is a beast very similar to Big Foot or the Sasquatch of America but it supposedly inhabits the mountains of Nepal and Tibet.

    New Cursed Child Theory:
    Delphi is not Bellatrix' daughter, because she was 47 when she died and it would be a miracle if she gave birth with 47. Furthermore Delphini said that she was born in Malfoy Manor a few days/weeks before the battle of Hogwarts, which means that Draco must have known that Bellatrix was pregnant and he most likely knew that Voldemort is the father. But if this is true Draco would have told someone after the battle of Hogwarts.
    I think that Delphi isn't the daughter of Bellatrix and she isn't the daugther of Voldemort either, because she is another Horcrux. That's why she can fly and speak parseltongue.
    I have no idea who her real parents could be, but I have a theory about when and why Voldemort created this Horcrux.
    It was on May 2, a few hours before the battle of Hogwarts and shortly after Voldemort realized that Harry was searching for his Horcruxes.
    After he looked for the ring and realized that it was destroyed, he created a new Horcrux. Voldemort didn't know that Harry was a Horcrux and he thought that Harry would be thinking that a person can't be a Horcrux and he knew that Harry would never kill someone (except Voldemort himself) especially a little baby, so he made Delphini his new Horcrux. Maybe she was the daughter of a different Deatheater, but she wasn't Bellatrix' daughter or Voldemort's. That's why Delphi has the ability to fly and to speak parseltongue, because a part of Voldemort lives inside of her and this part made Harry's scar hurt. And since Delphini didn't die at the end of CC this means that Voldemort could still come back.
    And being a Horcrux would make her a cursed child.

    • @TailsFan
      @TailsFan Před 7 lety +8

      Laura Except that Harry had to die (and come back clean of Voldemort's piece) as the final Horcrux for Voldemort to die. With your theory, he would not have been defeated because there was still a piece of him intact. I think Draco didn't tell anyone because people might've tried to get rid of the baby born of evil parents before it grew and did more evil. You know that a good many of the remaining Order would do it.
