And today I want to tell the story of one person's experience playing this game that was posted online. As he was unable to stop playing the game until he was brought to tears.
This is the creepiest story about Mario 64 I’ve heard. So much so that I had to dedicate this entire video to it. So with all that out of the way, let’s begin his story if you dare that is.

I think it's just kind of the Lonely atmosphere of the castle. It's just Mario and a few toads in this big empty area.
Tbh the only reason why there are story's like this is because of Rom hacks and the fact the game has little to no npc's in the game
Because of the atmosphere and also the way it sets the liminal space perspective take wet dry world and mix it with the boo house and you may get a giant underwater space where you're trapped which there is already a level like that but less creepy
