1. the majin thing is majin’s face on sonic I’m pretty sure
2. the “creepy cat girl” in speed highway? it was actually a scrapped spider girl which we don’t know the name of
Satoshi Okano (an artist for Sonic Adventure) actually revealed 2D concept art of her last November, showing her full body and the name "Spider Girl" next to her, alongside another unused character called Fly the Vampire. Obviously a placeholder name, but the poster does imply she got a 3d model at some point.
no majin is a nickname for one of the sega workers or something
The things in the Jake seles are goste of peeps that have one of the 7 dedley sins

Masato “Mazin” Nishimura was the Voice Actor of Sonic in Sonic CD and also was one of the designers
Those creature from Red Mountain are souls trapped in Hell. There’s a mission in SADX that confirms this.
Daz craaazy. Sonic franchise can have terrifying creatures. (Like time eater. Who in the world would name a anragonist that creepy name in a game for all ages?)

The third sonic movie looks amazing.
I knew nothing about Majin but back in the 90's some kids were talking about "a very scary sonic in sonic CD".
8:10 majin is the nickname of the guy who made it
Also that's not a mustache, they're cheekbones (it was confirmed by the creator)
That sonic CD creepy screen was made from one of sega's designers i believe probably trying to tell you to just have fun with sonic games or any other sega games
2:30 this area feels sort of like wet-dry world from Super Mario 64 but in sonic.

Majin is the nickname of one of the Sonic CD programs and this strange Sonic is Sonic with the programmer's face superimposed on it
Gotta love youtubers who don't even know what they're talking about
No, the lore was that Sonic had Mario's face aside from the message that was shown and the nickname was "Madin", not "Majin."
@@JadenYukifan28 I saw 3 videos that said what I wrote
@@RatchetAndClank14 I heard conflicting things though, it was either Madin or Majin, either way it's still creepy.

Did you know that the original sonic.exe creepypasta was removed from the internet because of how bad and full of cliches it was, but the damage was already been done and thousands of copies of the original creepypasta were already been made.
The American version of sonic cd
In a sense the creepypasta was a catalyst in itself, and unfortunately, like cancer cells, it had spread too far and cannot be removed.
actually it was never removed from the internet, it was moved from a creepypasta wiki to a jokepasta wiki cause of how bad it was (which caused the creator at the time to get genuinely peeved over it...had a whole rant)

4:38 1.Tails doll is a spy robot doll thing made by egg man to win the grand prix
2.Tails doll in the IDW comics is portrayed as a spy
3.Tails doll is able to float because of his robotic insides like a hovering thing on him (Theory)
4.The Tails doll's head is probably tipped over because of his plushy design and maybe his head and body connection wasn't stuffed to much with cotton and that's why he's kinda tipped(Theory)
5.Tails doll's little antenna is probably a signal to detect if anyone is nearby or a wall or just for design(Theory

9:19 this is an unreleased character, I think her name was spider girl, and there is only one concept art of her with another chatacter which is an vampire like bat
9:11 The game’s field designer, Satoshi Okano, said that this was an unnamed female spider character.
About the ghosts in Red Mountain:
According to one of SADX's missions, they're souls trapped in hell, which I think it's funny considering Red Mountain is part of Angel Island, the outside part is the exterior of Lava Reef and the inside part is a small part inside of Lava Reef but in a different location from the Sonic 3 & Knuckles (and Sonic Mania) Lava Reef Zone
About Tails Doll:
He is probably moved by the power of his antenna he has on his head, in the Archie Comics that antenna was represented as a gemstone that transformed Tails Doll into an ugly demon (what they did to by boy?) But in the games he is just an Eggman robot (plushie) made to distract Sonic that has an antenna on his head, and also they added a camera to his eyes as a spy robot in IDW (which is canon to the games), that idea may be inspired by the Archie Reboot (at least I think it was the reboot, I don't remember) since in there Tails Doll was a spy robot made by Eggman
About the Sonic CD Screen:
Sonic's face on that screen has nothing to do with Mario, that face is from the creator of that screen, Masato Nishimura (better known as Majin/Mazin), he created that screen as a fun easter egg, just like the other secret screens created by other devs that you can access in Sonic CD's Sound Test like the cute Sonic, the batman Sonic, Tails saying "See you in the next game", etc.
"Why the creepy music?" As you pointed out in the video, the music on the JP version is a lot more upbeat, and that's the song that played originally on that screen, the screen was supposed to be a fun easter egg as I said, the message is literally just saying that the fun is endless with SEGA and Sonic's games
"Why the face is so creepy?" Simple awnser, it's a common humor in Japan, those weird faces are part of what they think it's funny, that's shown in other games as well, there are games that have japanese exclusive things that are normally related to weird and funny looking faces because they think it's funny
Fun Fact: Mazin was the guy who revealed the name of the mysterious level "R2" from Sonic CD, along with Naoto Ohshima (Sonic's original designer), that level was (and still is) a big mystery in the community and little is known about it, we always had almost no information about it other than some concept art from the original game and some sprites from the 2011 Remaster of Sonic CD, but Naoto Ohshima revealed that the level was going to be called "Ridicule Root" while Nishimura revealed that another name of the stage was "Dubious Dephts", and we also found out that the DA Garden from Sonic CD was R2's theme all this time
About the Sonic Adventure weird character:
Satoshi Okano, one of the artists of Sonic Adventure along with Yuji Uekawa (who does Sonic artworks to this day along with Yui Karasuno in the Sonic Channel website) who also worked as the character designer in Samba de Amigo (specifically in the first game for the Dreamcast), he is the creator of that girl, she is a spider, Okano actually created 2 characters around the Saturn and Dreamcast Era, that Spider Girl and a Dracula-looking bat called Fly the Vampire (also known as Fly the Bat)
And actually, we DID see her again, she was featured in one of the comics published by IDW as an easter egg, in the Classic Sonic comic published to celebrate Sonic's 30th anniversary, in the story that Sonic learns how to drive, there is the exact same posters there are in Sonic Adventure with her on it
About the Hyudoros:
Yes, the Hyudoros were not created by Eggman, they are ghosts who live inside the Sandopolis pyramid, in Sonic Jam it's revealed that Dr. Eggman didn't created them, and also he worked very hard to lock them into that capsule Sonic ends up breaking and setting them free
Nothing else is known about the Hyudoros, but the same applies to all the other Sonic ghosts tbh, the Boos, King Boom Boo, Pumpkin Ghosts, Su, Uh and Lah, the Baby Ghosts that appears in the Ghost Tale short made by Marza Animation, freaking Antonio from Sonic 06 LOL, the Mimic Ghost from Sonic Rivals 2, etc.
Cool video you made, although you completely missed some spots I’d like to clear up for a better understanding:
About the UFOs in Marble zone, during Sonic 1’s development, they originally planned to have the story being set up in some sort of a Fantasy world, the UFOs being the remains of that idea, in fact, Green Hill is the only fully realized zone from the fantasy world setting.
The Majin/Mazin screen was already debunked as an attempt for antipiracy. Later reused as something to troll players. The name signed is Masato Nishimura’s nickname.
For your "cat" posters in Sonic Adventure, it was a spider girl which concepts were shared recently.
Also Sonic.EXE is just a fan creepypasta that was badly written.
Also here’s a better creepy question, is Infinite Bits really Infinite?
If Sonic 1 stayed with the fantasy idea, Spring Yard would have been a futuristic sparkling city, Labyrinth a cavern with massive crystals, Star Light a space station, and Scrap Brain a giant wooden clock with machinery (Hence Clock (W)ork Zone)
That laugh in the song was a eggmen I think
bro some of the mysteries in this video have been explained.
yeah, and i hate how he says "no one really knows", when bro clearly didnt do any research
@@edgardeivisfr
The weird character is a spider character that never been adden to sonic adventure
7:39 is a Batman homage
and for 7:53 the answer is already publicly known, it's meant to be a silly image of Sonic with the face of Masato Nishimura, one of the main developers of Sonic CD.
also, the message actually says "Infinite Fun - Sega Enterprise" not "Fun Is Infinite With Sega Enterprises"
it's a common mistranslation.
another mistranslation is that his nickname is actually Mazin, not Majin.
Great video dude. It would be awesome if you did more of these mystery themed videos.
this vid was very fun! i also watched it with the lights out with gives me creepy vibes but i like that. nice vid tho beter than the mario one, do more of these pls.
Damn I saw them in sonic adventure but I didn't mind them
Great interesting video
13:11 this level takes it to the next level 👌🏻
Zelda mysteries next?
I absolutely love this series, please make more videos like this
plot twist:
the three ring men were the ones that keep placing the gold rings around
The reasoning for the unsettling music used in Sonic CD us is because during development they wanted to have everything a set way but then the US team wanted their own thing and to mainly stand out from what was going at the time in terms of music and we ended up with that
The see trough guys in Prison based on the Electric chair got the death penalty
Bro new favorite channel good job
there is a lot of take-aways you can get from the aquatic mine itself. for example the miners probably had the mine flood on purpose because the switches were already there, AND that is the place where you get the air necklace. my theory is that the mines were connected to the sewer system because that was where the first sign of whatever they were mining for originated from, maybe a porous material that floats upward which is why the miners needed the water/flooding system. could be the crystals that make up the chaos drives considering how they are housed and float as a result of the energy they give off. As to why you can't see the entities that resemble prisoners... perhaps E102 as a robo cannot see them. the e100 series were not good at sensing chaos energy and were all convinced they had gotten the right frog, so the entities may have a similar wavelength.
Detective bits back at it makes me happy
TY WE NEED MORE CREEPY VIDS
Answer to 6:11 to 8:48 the name in the bottom corner is the terain builder and the face is that guys face but he put it on Sonic
Actually tails doll insides is actually a robot and why because the way it floats but look at the antenna no dolls have an antenna(except teletubbies) so yeah this might be one of eggmans inventions and called his invention to clone tails tails doll and eggman knows what tails can do use his tail to fly and go like a hovercraft and tails doll is copying his movement but eggman decided to make him scary for tails to not have any weird or good dreams
The creepy void in the mansion looks like when kids close their eyes tight and rub them 😂😂😂

Fun is infinite ♾️
Uh to clarify the fun is infinite pic it was an easter egg done by the landscape designer for sonic cd. Since in the japanese version of sonic cd the boss theme is more funky also that's the face of the sonic cd's landscape designer along with his childhood nickname madin not majin
The buff sonic pic that is seen in sonic cd, is mean to be a reference to dc's iconic detective Batman.
Infinite bits can you make a video with unexplained Zelda mysteries pls I am subbed
I was surprised Majin, Tails Doll and Sonic.exe was in this video since this dude never talks about creepypastas at all.
Edit: i love Majin especially in his fnf song. He has a silly personality to the community and I love it. ENDLESS IS FUNN.
Buddy Tails doll is an official character☠️
I personally thing that mysterious sign from spring yard zone is a mounted sign to represent coming with your gambling addiction since the place closely resembles a casino
the Cope sign in Spring Yard Zone of Sonic 1 was intended to be an encouraging message to the player
I think there was also a weird mystery in the 8-bit Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Game Gear/Master System), where, in Sky High Zone Act 1, you had to go to this hidden area on the left side of the stage that had a 1-up monitor. You jump over it and approach it from the left, and then you'll see these tiny chicks that will come out of the trees. However, if you break the 1-up monitor, no more chicks will appear. Very strange easter egg, not sure if it's in the Sega Master System version (maybe it is? Since the GG and SMS versions are the exact same, only the GG version has a MUCH smaller screen, so you have to take a lot of leaps of faith), but it is in the GG version.
I discovered it when I watched this vid: czcams.com/video/1VhJ78OvgyA/video.html
Also fun fact:tails dolls gem is also a tracking device
sonic cd boss music US: ends..
victory music :oh yeah I'm totally over it now
the "cope" message was probably included by one of the devs who was going to copenhagen when the game was finished developing.
I was waiting for this forever
The weird red and green color character that in a sign in sonic adventure was meant to be unused character in sonic adventure 2 it meant to be this weird spider girl character at the 9:05
The "Image by Majin" thing has been explained for years. The picture was drawn by Sega artist Masato Hirano, and is just him putting his own face on Sonic's body, which just looks unintentionally creepy in the pixelated rendering. The signature is not actually "Majin", but "Madin" which was Masato Hirano's childhood nickname and the code you enter to see the image (46 12 25) is his date of birth backwards (25th December 1946)
As for why the music is different in the US version, the truth to that is very simple: part of an article about Sonic's history included with the 2003 Prima strategy guide for Sonic advance 2, read: "at the time, Sega of America had built a high budget recording studio to complement their first push into CD audio on the then-new CD platform and probably deemed it necessary to get some bang for their buck. Thus Sonic CD's OST was reorchestrated for its US release."
I love these types of videos the Mario was great and this one is a 1up
So you're telling me that the sonic CD USA boss battle theme is scary? Idk about you, but i like it
it goes hard
@edgardeivis fr. And a boss theme should be intimidating, not happy go lucky
@@Stoked_magic i love both versions personally !
I feel like the drowning noise is even creepier then the boss fight noise because it just pops out of nowhere to jump scare you and you know when the Bossfight music please
14:26 Dr. Eggman puts animals in those capsules. So its possible they could be ghosts of the animals.
Dark
14:54 WHY I DONT HAVE A GENISUS!( *yet* )
yoooooo i loved the mario 64 urban legends video or whatever it was called . are those 3 stories actually true
Quick theory about the ghost in sandoppalis , what if Eggman went into the primed and captured some animals and forgot about them. Then when sonic releases the animals, it's to late. The animals then haunt sonic throughout the act, trying to seek revenge because they think sonic let them die and rot in the capsule
The Sonic CD music is just creepy to me even in JPN OR ENG Just the levels if you played at night you would get a uncomfortable feeling while listening to the music or the level desgin for some reason
Something you missed.
The box from Hellraiser is in Hydrocity Zone.
9:08 we actualy did see the concept art for that charicter. it got shown recently, Ian flynn even tagged it.
it was concept art for a spider charicter, i think they just snuck her into the game just because.
the biggest mystery of sonic adventure 2: battle? those damned meteors in meteor herd. i swear blind those things are locked-on and know exactly where you're gonna be before they hit. i once walked ONE, yes, ONE, step, and BANG!!
3:59 I call them Marble Saturn
They look like saturn
They are in Marble Zone
And there is a console Called Sega Saturn
The pyramid capsule with gosst was probably souls of the animals trapped and is angry at sonic because he did not save them in time and they died
Also the creepy song got put into slap battles for a part that was supposed to make you scream like you're in lethal conpany
the original sonic.exe creepypasta was removed from the internet because of how bad and full of cliches it was, but the damage was already been done and thousands of copies of the original creepypasta were already been made.
I think I know some of these. Tails doll was a much design by Robotnik to be creepy, which would make Sonic lose the race. Sonic.exe isn't real. America is kind of known for preferring hard-core spooky stuff, hence the music change. Mazin was a nickname for a developer in Sonic CD and that is his face and message. The Ghosts are ghosts, just your average ghost, people die all the time. Sonic.exe isn't real. The cope tile thing is something to do with what the game was made on, from what I've heard (or they're telling you to deal with it). The Pumpkin Hill rocks may have bonfires if people live there. Sonic.exe isn't real.
Can't confirm, though.
the speed highway myth was supposed to be a sonic character concept art that sega left a reference to the character
Those planets on marble zone is some type of colorful mysterious moons on the sonic world
I always wondered who the guys on thumbmail was in sonic adventures.
Those *UFOs* maybe just some weird marbles with green rings!
I remember an intervew in which a japanese dev said they didn't know what the English word "Cope" meant but that is sounded cool to them so, they added it there, amongst other words.
Strange how sega has never explained much on the time eater
Tails in hell? 0:02
nope the ufos was just the wacky and dream like Aesthetic of sonic in he’s concept days and the tails fall is connonicly a robot but in Archie talis doll was a some kind other worldly being and the weird sonic man thing was just a reference to Batman
The mysterious character in sonic adventure is a unused spider girl. She does have concept art but it’s weird that she has a render even though she was cut early in development. 🤔
I though Sonic CD's Majin Sonic was a nod to a worker at Sega Enterprises who was nicknamed 'Majin'
To explain the “Fun Is Infinite” Easter egg, those faces are actually the face of the level designer Masato Nishimura, who actually provided the Sonic voice lines in CD too, the intended music to play is the boss theme because in Japan, the boss theme is considered goofy, so depending on what region you’re in, the Egg can be interpreted as either silly or oddly creepy.
As for the OST change at all, it is because the localizer wanted to make the OST darker to fit with the more serious tone Western Sonic was given at the time (a major example are the SaTAM cartoons). Literally everyone agrees that the US OST change was unnecessary
9:17 I think this ones got an answer
Idk but i remember one tweet where it says it may be is a concept character before rouge the bat wae chosen
Fun fact: in a Sonic comic Robotnik claims tails doll is a spybot made to collect info to strengthen metal sonic so it can outmatch sonic also i forgot the comic name but it is from 2022 or 2023
Sonic does not care to give some dark ass things like the tails doll. (I absolutely love that mystery by the way, what are my favorite creepy pastas and favorite character in general, despite having no history to it) also, majin sonic was just something made by the Dev of the game and people find it unsettling and I can understand why it was just weird
The three ring men were the ones that keep placing the gold rings around
My favorite detective is detective Bits.
And I think the UFO in marble zone were either saturns , the special stages since blue can represent the sky and the green is probably the weirdest transforming animals and aquatic mines is haunted and it got flooded by what I assume someone mining too deep
It's not canon, but there was a Sonic Archie comic that explicitly stated that the ghosts in Aquatic Mine are the ghosts of drowned miners.
Here’s an explanation about tails doll moving:
Apparently, it’s actually a robot made by Eggman but that’s all I really know
5:39 to be fair he does show up in sonic adventure as basically target practice for eggman’s robots so maybe he was some sort of training robot he also had a larger role in the Archie comics but that happened years later I don’t really think Sega like them that much from what they’ve shown so I doubt that would work as a viable explanation
8:43 it was created by one of the developers of sonic cd based on his nickname
Yes, and the bossfight music that played was supposed to be more fun in the Japanese version and not just plain creepy. But since Sega of America would replace the music for the bossfight when they didn’t know that that screen was there, they unwittingly shifted the tone from a light-hearted ester egg to nightmare fuel.
This is also supported by the fact that Sonic CD’s present and future themes were different in the American release while their past themes remain the same, their past themes used sequenced PCM audio (hard coded into the game) so it would sound “older” and was deemed too difficult to replace unless they went to Sega of Japan themselves.
Edit: there are also rumours that Sega of America made these changed behind the original developers’ backs so it’s a possible explanation on why they weren’t informed about the “fun is infinite” screen, and why they couldn’t replace the past OSTs for the game.
11:41 That was added there because "You're too slow!" and your slowness made you read it so you must cope with that.
Fun fact: Majin was supposedly not meant to be creepy, Majin stood for the nickname of one of the Sonic creators, so they put him in the game as an easter egg
Pretty Please do a Unexplained Zelda Creepy Mysteries next. 🥺
I wonder if time eater will get any lore related to black doom in the generation’s remake
sonic.exe just chilling on the board
5:57 does anybody know the music? I can't tell if this is sonic music or super mario galaxy music lmao
Millions of people know the true secret behind the creepy code room thing and there is tons and tons of CZcams videos about it that got posted a very long time ago
