God Bless Frankie Beverly. I have been to many Frankie Beverly concerts . We Love, Love, Love Frankie Beverly and Maze in the Wash DC area. The man and band have had an extraordinary career and its a damn shame that throat cancer ruined his singing voice, but Frankie Beverly’s songs have always been about the vibes. The audience singing is just fabulous. I hope Mr. Beverly enjoys his retirement. Frankie Beverly and Maze will live on forever as the most feel good music in R&B..

I always go back to his videos where Frankie and Maze were live in concert in the 80s and 90s here on CZcams. His vocal chords have taken a beating from touring and performing for 50 years and his voice is no longer there. I am starting to wonder if he realizes that his voice is really gone. RE the current live shows and new band, this was not Frankie's choice; certain family members did all this, running the original cats off by disrespecting em w lousy sched and treatment,, inserting a new mgr and band, and pressuring poor Frankie to keep on working.

I drove to St. Louis to see Frankie Beverly. Inspite of his aged voice, I truly had an AMAZING time. The Whispers, and The O'Jays were there as well. All of them are up in age, but do remember as they age so do we. Hell, our voices are not the same as they were 20 or 30 years ago. As we've listened to their songs for many years, it's ok to sing along to help them out. Hell you have artists who CAN sing but still point the mic to the audience to sing for them. This is his farewell tour so hopefully he'll go and relax after its all done. Once again an AMAZING time was had seeing, and singing along with all of the Legends.

Just remember at the end of the day that Frankie is the creator and not an imitator. You've got to give the man credit for pushing through to give his very All despite the damage gained from singing for decades with that beautiful rasp in his voice that developed his special trademark in this music industry. James Brown did less splits when he got older, Michael Jackson took a seat several times as his dancers danced around him and Prince walked on stage with a cane and pushed on to give his fans what they wanted. Speaking as a musician, The band sounds great!! Jubu and the other original members keep high respect for Frankie with love. As long as both bands are keeping his musical tradition alive .. I'm for it all. I hope in the future all communication lines through management of Frankie and original band members as well as new can be ONE again and strike a powerful punch in this music industry.👑💯🎯💯

My wife and I had the privilege of attending his concert in Grand Prairie Texas December 2nd of believe and just his presence was iconic. Hell, we didn’t mind at all helping him sing and finish his songs. He’s definitely earned the right to sing till he feels like it’s time to retire. Who knows, this I wanna thank you tour just very well be his last, and his way of saying Thank you!!!

Yes we love him! It's not the band. It's his new management... DoubleXXPosureMedia, Angelo Ellerbee and some family members. They are the ones making Frankie look like this. It's obvious Frankie has some cognitive issues. The new management is just using him for 💰now. No other explanation. Music-wise, Frankie is not delivering a good concert based on his obvious cognitive decline and his voice.

A few of the songs vocally didn’t sound too bad. They need to lower the keys to some of them, “I Want To Feel I’m Wanted” and “We Are One” for sure. Dropping them a whole step would really really improve how Frankie sounds. He is still doing We Are One in the original key and that already is a pretty high key for many ranges, especially Frankie now at his age.
You're right. But Frankie has been vehemently opposed to key changes. He let them change Southern Girl and Before I Let Go, but only because they were completely out of range, even on a good day.

Listening to this band, it just doesn't click like former members. The guitar solo on Golden Time of Day should be patent by Jubu. No one else can play it like him.
