I quite like the fact that the synth stuff is also part of a bit of a life blog. So videos like those work for me as much as the pure gear based ones.

The built-in shelves are beautiful.
They are actually not built in, its cheap IKEA Billy, but we managed to make it look built in 😅
Thanks for sharing, and congratulations to you and your family with your new home. I am one of those 'boring' musicians who never quit the day job, but I have built myself a good home studio over the years and I use it whenever I have the time and the inspiration to do so, both when I play music alone and whenever I rehearse and record with my small band. When we were seeking a place to live, my then wife-to-be and me went for an apartment in the suburbs of Copenhagen with a pentangular master bedroom which made a perfect studio/music room. We have treated the walls acoustically so we don't get any complaints from the neighbours, and the benefits of having the studio behind a door instead of at the other side of town far outweighs the modest space the studio occupies. Take care of yourself and your family, - I'll look forward to seeing your next video!

So happy for you!! I 100% agree that it’s better to have the studio at home - on the same property in a separate building. I got SUPER lucky and found a mobile home with an unfinished barn on a 1 acre lot. That unfinished barn is now a fully insulated and sound treated studio and I couldn’t be happier. I know your vision will come to life and be wonderful for you and the fam 💖
Congrats Bo. It’s a gorgeous home!! I think it’s very wise to build your studio at home. You own the land. You can fully put your energy and love into it knowing it’s safe on the land you own.
Also, I’m a single mom and have to have my studio at home. I have to be home and sneak in creative moments while my son is home with me.
It will even be better for your health to not have to be stressing driving across town back and forth. Plus the health benefits of full creativity when you want it.
Of course it will be a huge amount of work but you’re already working on the house so go for it. The rewards will be huge!

Good to hear such positive vibes from you. Moving my workspace back into the house was a great move for me, it means I have a lot less space but has made me concentrate on the gear I actually use rather than just buy.

Studio at home is the way to go. We just got a place last year and I have a 'shed' earmarked for my studio but I think it will be a couple of years before it actually happens. Too many other grown up things to do before I get to make a place to play bleepy bleeps!
Bo we came for synths but we stay for you! For the first bit of the video I was a little worried but glad the big news is so good! Congrats on the house can’t wait to see what the future brings!

Nice house! Congratulations. We spent about a year looking at probably 50 houses before we decided on the one where we live now. It has everything we wanted except a place to have a garden. Too many trees. Growing one's own food is very satisfying.

thats the point, for home studio, crativity comes not at 8am daily, i worket as an art painter for 20 years, sometimes ideas comes at 3 am. :-) or 11 pm :-) i bought a house with a big studio 10 years ago .

It’s awesome having my studio in my home because I can access it anytime I want and I can make videos like you well I’m not a big CZcamsr like you, but I get to make my little videos and I have fun doing it and it’s nice to have it all at home and I can see my wife every once in a while when I’m not in the studio.😊

Dear Bo,
I’ve been enjoying your videos for quite a while. Your wisdom about sound manipulation is matched by your good vibes and generosity. To that point, I really dig your move to spotlight synth content creators, and that inspired me to reach out to you for a helping hand. I’ve been making synthesizer music since the 70’s, recording and performing in New York City. After many EP compilations I did nine albums with a dear friend who supplied words and mostly spoken vocals. I did every thing else. We were The Paisley Plaid. Only one of our albums is now on Spotify. Sadly Dan passed away six years ago. Since then I have created 41 electronic albums, including the artwork. Unfortunately because of how I create now, I could not pull it off as a solo act. On top of that, I don’t work the social media grind, and subsequently have like 16 followers on Spotify. If you would kindly give me a spotlight on your page, I would be eternally grateful. Please give me a listen, and see if you think that I deserve it.

Happy to hear your health is improving. I can absolutely relate to the struggles to keep your body physically feeling well while trying to balance plenty of stress between work and your personal life. It can be difficult, but glad it's getting better for you. Best wishes with the new house and slowly moving your gear back home so it's available when the post 9pm inspiration hits (which is, of course, the best time to create music). Always looking forward to summer of synths as well!

What a beautiful place! My studio is a hobby; I work full time building software from home (in the same room). I completely understand wanting both the separation and the proximity for when creativity "strikes"
you've got the right idea - let it evolve over time... but also keep in mind that if you end up choosing one over the other, it doesn't have to be a final decision. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and your life with us. Cheers man.
A TinyHouse in your backyard may be the answer. You can walk outside and see nature and still be close to your family. Tiny homes are cool because it wouldn't feel like a garage space. Here in America, this concept of living has freed people up to live a life full of experiences.
