You can make a chip at home with a PCB and an OBD plug, that literally changes your voltages. But 35% power is as big a cash grab as those hair dryer fans in your inlet plumbing. Changing voltages only really effects how quick your throttle body (electric) operates, or if you have a little power button for your gearbox, it can make the (depending on the process type - electric selection) gear selections faster because the electric motor is getting better power, might increase the flow rate of your injectors because they're reading higher voltage, etc. If you know the MAF sensor address in your cars ECU, you can also do a physical delete - but that would just about be custom every time, they wouldn't be able to mass manufacture that. Also if you where to custom make a PCB to do these things, you'd have to take into account that over riding these voltages can cause you physical damage to the electrical system of a modern car. And it would likely run your battery flat just about every time you use it. Also, to make something that does that would be at least 4 times the size.

I bought one for my diesel Qashqai. I found an increase in fuel economy, I was filling up every 5 weeks instead of 4. No increase in power but I did get better fuel economy.
You are supposed to drive it for 150km with the thing plugged in and then it should start working. You can't just plug it in and it work straight away. Most people testing these things and posting on youtube are solely concerned with performance enhancement not fuel economy.
I have since sold the Nissan and now have a '98 Jag XJ8 as my daily driver. Bought a new plug in for a petrol engine, installed it as recommended and am now getting 22-25 mpg around town average.
There are many different manufacturers of these things and maybe some if the really cheap ones don't work. But I have found on two very different vehicles that it has worked in regard to fuel economy.

You needed to drive for at least a hundred thousdand miles so it can adapt and remap. :)

If you understand the principles of the the OBD port and the CAN network of the vehicle you do not even have to test it to say it does not make difference. The network is made to have the communcation between modules possible, but the main signals inside the PCM cannot be changed by the CAN network.

I'm sure it won't make a difference but the packaging says it will remap after 124 miles (200 km)... Also says something about a reset but and just for a laugh it says "wait fir a while about 30-54 sec."

Even the more expensive tuning boxes that actually work will never give you nowhere near the same results as a proper remap. All the tuning boxes do is trick your car into sending more fuel in to the cylinders and will eventually kill your engine. The are a box with resistors in and that’s it!

This does work. I fitted to my seat fr and it's a lot faster and more torque. So this review is not correct. For example at standstill before the engine would rev to 2000 rpm after installing an Following Correct Procedure it reved to 2500 rpm a marked increase so it must work . On some vehicles.. you have to drive it gorb150 miles not just up the road and back to analyse results.

thats not how its suppose to work in the first place, you have to reset your battery, and reset your ecu indicators, like for smog if anybody has done that before that then get it, but yea thats how it works, it needs to "remap" first, not saying that it does and that it works, but the way these
products are described its suppose to take like 150 miles to recalculate supposed airfuel mix, timing advance, etc
