Dude i so enjoy this guys channel. The bike-camping is the best part. It's not necessarily bikepacking but its close. And this guy is freakin funny as heck man!
I just love how relaxing your vids are! So nice to see someone being kind & respectful to the geese family. Most people just see them as a nuisance (I know they can be). It’s an admirable trait, kind sir.
Thank you for sharing and for all the hard work and time you put into these videos, Kevin. They are truly Awesome. KEEP ADVENTURING GOD BLESS YOU 🤗HUGS🤗
I said this on your last video and Ill say it again. You have found your voice and style. When you speak and point out your thoughts, it really helps us visualize the area beyond what we can actually see on the video. Love it dude, killing it. You should have 100x the subsribers and view counts that you have.
Geese are crazy man 😎 Dude I love the wildlife shots and I really dig the talking shots in the middle with two cameras, that’s so cool! Another great one Kevin!
You are always concerned about people seeing you go into the woods, carry a fishing rod …problem solved. Love your videos. Always relaxing. Now that’s a big hoagie.
Another enjoyable video. Thanks. I want to tell you about an experience I had with Canadian geese and goslings. I was camping in a campground and these geese were in a nest about 50 feet or higher up in a tree. With babies. All of a sudden on goose was on the ground squawking and each baby jumped out of the nest and THUMP on the ground. They each kamikazed out and waddled right to the White River. I never knew they did that!!
love love love it. I've camped in some pretty questionable spots. Hangin off a hillside was one of them. Just make sure you get up on the right side. Glad to see you wearin a hat. Keep yer head and ass covered.
@@smallplots Seriously, hats or some sort of head gear is one of the most overlooked piece of gear. It keeps the rain off, or the sun off. It can get brutal out there. I'm an old dude, still have my hair but I wear a hat. You have to.
Lol you're right about the pepper tops - I run a sandwich shop and literally every handful has 3 or 4 in there at least, didn't used to be that way before the pandemic
Tents are so much stealthier I stealth camp in my area (about 12minutes from the King of Prussia mall PA) a lot more stealthy than a hammock. Hunker down. Time for a step 2
awesome vid sir - thx for sharing. Sub looks darn good, (and agree on the whole pepper stems thing, what is the deal with that?) Nice beer too. Goose scene is really wonderful - I vote more goose action!
I’m a bit late for this one, but what a great Canada Geese moment Kevin. Just waddled oot of the brush and went; Wanna let us through there bud, eh? It was like a little homage to the great Steve Wallis. Great video and location!
Geese and stickers, geese and stickers. Pain in my ass. I'm with you on the peppers, its like they only sliced and jar the stem ends. Well that sandwich beats my moldy ass Jack link's jerky. Awesome stealth, and I'm also digging the dual camera footage.
Hello. Sweet episode Smalls.Hope all is well. I witness a Bald Eagle attact a Geese nest and the thing defended it's nest and not one loss soul and the Eagle retreated so to be aware especially with babies . People may not think but can be a good little sparring partner. Take care, be safe and see ya next week .
cooked in restaurants my whole life, yes most places get gallon jugs of sliced peppers and it just has a lot of stems in it from the factory slicing machines, maybe next time order them and ask saying no stems, i hate all those stems in those jugs i try throwing them out when i grab some.
Yeah, I worked in restaurants for about a decade, definitely familiar... also familiar with how easy it is to NOT put them on food haha. I bet theres a yearly death counter for people who choke on them.
As soon as I saw the geese I knew the hot goose on goose action was going to wake you up multiple times. Geese make for some crappy sleep. Great video! The paper bag pack roll makes you look legit homeless. Not sure if that's good for stealth camping or bad.
I'm always wanting to try those delicious-sounding beers you all have there in New York. You'd think we'd be able to get some of them around here in California, but I've looked and haven't been able to find any of them. Maybe one day I'll be able to visit my friend who lives in New York City and maybe I'll be able to find them then. Anyway, they look delicious!
Oddly enough NYC has a worse craft beer scene than Rochester... probably something to do with how much space it takes and how expensive nyc is. Last I was there (2019) really the only craft beer you saw around was Goose Island IPA (ugh). I hope it's improved!
Dude, I was on a hike and walked by a couple geese. They had babies with them and as I walked by one lowers it’s head and started running at me. I was freaked but laughed at the same time.😂
Just found your channel recently, been going through your playlist. I do have to say always finding jalapeno and/or banana pepper tops in my sub is the absolute worst!
First time seeing your channel. That was fun. Yeah, I would question your character if I saw you coming out of the brush there 🙂 You do have a bit of homeless look about you. No offense. I subscribed and I'll check out some more vids. Love stealth camping too.
@@smallplots I’ve been amazed at how many different spots you have to stealth camp in your city. Were already at a point where 55 is our low or lower than our low.
Them geese are so magically mean too- especially with babies - nature is awesome 👍 - good show Mr plots - what kinda tarp u using ? Maybe a break up camo pattern be stealthier - I read bigfeets and serial killers can sound like racoons , just saying...LoL ... Take care - be safe
It's a Kammok Khuli UL "weather shelter" great tarp, but I gotta fix it. And while camo is stealthier in the bush, don't forget I'm walking through a city to get here... would definitely raise more eyebrows walking around with camo on haha
i have same 1person tent as sam bananas, the NatureHike brand, i like it because, with a footprint, the outer shell can be erected 1st, great for setting up in the rain
That’s why all my stakes n lines are orange. I don’t find them any more visible from distance. So colour is not much of a stealth issue. Just makes it easier to identify for you in the dark or on scrubby ground. No one can see your stakes whatever colour they are unless they’re standing on top of them! Can’t see the colour of line until you get pretty close either.
I actually do have orange stakes, but they are higher quality so I use them sparingly, and use simple stakes for most trips so it wouldn't be so bad if i lost them. As for the lines, this particular tarp has them attached already with winches, part of the design.
You say Sub I say Hoagie. Back in the day, the Italian-American community lived in an area of Philly called Hog Island. Cooks there were known for their big Hog Island Sandwiches, a name which eventually got shortened to “hoagie.” BTW - Stanley Tucci said pepper stems are considered a delicacy in certain seedy parts of Italy ;-{)🖖

"Gonna take a walk around and see how stealthy I am " says the man with orange pants on! You gotta look into some camo Plots
Hey the orange pants blend in with the orange forest duuuh
Maybe it's just me, but some dude completely decked out in camo stands out a lot more walking through the city.
@@freakamping1251 I think so too, but I'm camo down 😂👍🏾🙋🏾♂️
Stealthing in plain sight. It's genius. 😉
@@freakamping1251 To our eyes yes. But you gotta remember there's ALOT of people that are tricked by camo as well. 2 way street. All situational.

Haha that would make it 10x more obvious and difficult to navigate through brush, perhaps

For those wondering, the video is the source of the "These Geese" short. Still no source for the Jars short. That could be its own original material.

Your sandwich reminds me of the cartoonist kilburn.
He had a book titled "Never eat anything bigger than your head and other drawings."
Geese attacked my dad while fishing on a small row boat. My dad ended up flipping the row boat as he fought the geese and drown. Geese as angry birds.

Opening your sleeping bag earlier allows the fill to “loft” or fill the tiny holes with air, adding to its insulation value.
