Reservists can also be activated into active duty status. The national guard can also be deployed overseas although it is organized to deal with domestic issues!

Okay, I hate to say this, but I dislike people pretending to be who they are not.
Facts:
1. This guy said he is in Alaska. Why are you wearing the 82nd ABN patch?
2. So, you claim you serviced in the 82nd and never went to ABN SCH?
3. If you are in Alaska, why are you wearing the 82nd patch and not the 25th patch? I hope you serviced in the 82nd because we are an elite force, and don’t take that for granted.

Most people get the patch when they've been part of the 82nd Unit. Most of the battle buddies have the patches just because they were attached to the unit. So probably, that's how he got his.
I went to AIRBORNE school in 2020, it’s a requirement for riggers. I served 82nd for 3years boss and came to alaska just last week… we are allowed to have our patches throughout in processing. I’m still proud to be a part of 82nd. Airborne!!!
@GCSS ARMY HACKS You are right, but that only applies to combat patches; he is not wearing a combat patch. He said he is in Alaska, so my question is, why is he still wearing 82nd patch?
2. You cannot be a Rigger and not be Airborne (Paratrooper). He is not a Paratrooper. I admire his service but will appreciate it if he will be straightforward and walk within his lane.
