    Elite is actually crazy for not pursuing this youtube series with Darren and Nathan. The two most likable archers and camera friendly ... this is a no brainer guys

    And I'll also say this, covering Darren's switch to left handed would be fascinating! I know you guys know the importance of an online presence. Get that content!!!

    Thank you, Fellas! Easy, thorough video that only confirms my thoughts on the SET technology even more. I’m weary with top hats and shims and a new Enkore is really calling me these days.

    The only thing y'all missed was telling the people what way to make the turn , with you're results of paper tear and bear shaft!! Thanks fellas!!

    Thanks for all the info and taking the time guys. Elite is definitely onto something with this SET system and their Tri Track cam system. Loving my Kure and am Enkore is on the agenda

    Thanks for the video gentlemen. A few questions. Why do you adjust only the SET screw but not also the rest, as recommended by Elite in their manual? Second, what is the advantage to tuning with a bare shaft as opposed to simply comparing fletched field point arrow to a broadhead arrow and making the adjustments to bring those two together? Finally, why is bare shaft tuning superior to, or why do you use instead of, walk-back tuning. I have only ever done paper tuning and walk back tuning so this would be new to me. I'm open to it and you guys obviously know your stuff, but I'm just curious. Also some good close up camera shots of the tears would be nice for those of us who would like to see and study the tears you guys are talking about. Thanks again. Appreciate all the info and time you put into this. PS I just bought an Elite Era yesterday so I'm excited to do some fine tuning. I have a really nice bullet hole to start with.

    Excellent instructional. Thank you two for the thoroughness. Is it possible to do a segment that expounds on this for those of us who have not jumped into a SET bow? I’m still shooting an Option 6 and an Energy 35.......for now.

    The owners manual says to adjust the SET technology screws the same top & bottom - basically set them evenly; what is the max difference in turns from top to bottom?

    Love the content, keep it comin'! My question is why not shoot bare shaft through paper at 6' and 12' until bullet hole and then confirm with groups at 20yards using fletched, bare and bh?

    • @nathanbrooks4324
      @nathanbrooks4324 Před rokem +1

      Hey Justin! You could use a bareshaft thru paper. The only thing I’d say to that affect is you’d need to make sure you aren’t getting any fletching contact. If you don’t have powder, usually it’ll show up when paper tuning. But you could most certainly use a bare shaft thru paper.

    The manual mentions recentering centershot after each adjustment with the SET. Is this still recommended?

    • @nathanbrooks4324
      @nathanbrooks4324 Před 3 lety +1

      I recommend that if you move SET more than 1/2 rotation check your center shot.

    Is the encore bow adjustable from 40 to 70 lb draw or do you have to go with one specific draw weight?

    • @chrississon2646

      More specific draw , I have a 70 lb , with 3 turns out won't quite make it to 60 lb

    Can we expect a kure 34 or 35? I would like to make the switch but a longer bow feels better in my opinion.

  • @philsell5203
    @philsell5203 Před rokem

    Would like to know why you would use this method instead of just asdusting the arrow rest. Is it more accurate, finer tuning? Or whatever. Thanks.

    • @nathanbrooks4324
      @nathanbrooks4324 Před rokem +1

      Hey Phil! 2 thing… 1-using SET is so simple because it shows you exactly what you need to do. 2-sometimes you have to adjust a rest a long way to achieve any kind of change. SET gives you small cam alignment changes that affect the dynamic thrust of the string in relationship to the cam track. That’s why it makes such a big difference so quickly vs adjusting the rest.

    • @craigholland2274
      @craigholland2274 Před rokem

      Set center shot and shouldn't move the rest much. You should have just cam lean after center shot. Okay to adjust rest by 16th of an inch but I wouldn't adjust much more than that. Need to make sure cams are timed and can you set to adjust once your rest is set at center shot

    Does the Kure draw as smooth as the Ritual 35?

  • @greekmaster1001
    @greekmaster1001 Před 2 lety

    Also what's the proper setting of the cable guard and when it should be adjusted?

    • @nathanbrooks4324
      @nathanbrooks4324 Před 2 lety

      It’s adjustable for a reason. The least amount of cable tension needed to give you adequate fletching clearance is the best answer. Big tall fletching need more cable clearance than small low profile fletching.

  • @edwardscanlon5280
    @edwardscanlon5280 Před 3 lety

    Is the encore draw weight fixed at a certain draw weight or is it adjustable from 40 to 70 lbs?

    • @nathanbrooks4324
      @nathanbrooks4324 Před 3 lety +1

      Encore comes in 70, 65, 60, 50 and 40 lb max draw weights. Each bow will have roughly 8 lbs of adjustment lower than peak weight

  • @cesarelizondo5464
    @cesarelizondo5464 Před 2 lety

    Liked the video but you did all the adjustments on your bare shaft tuning, and got it the way you wanted it to shoot. So why paper tune at all ? Why not just start with the bare shaft tuning ?

    • @nathanbrooks4324
      @nathanbrooks4324 Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks for watching! The main reason is because if you have a tear through paper that isn’t a bullet hole you will not even be close with a bare shaft. So we get the bow to shoot a bullet hole through paper first, then move on to a finer tune, which is the bare shaft. If the bow is tearing horribly through paper and you try to go directly to bare shaft tuning your arrows can break when they hit the target because they are “whipping” so bad.

  • @festis1568

    Honestly it looked like the bare shaft hit the other arrow and deflected to the right

    • @philliplanum8439

      That's what i noticed instantly. That arrow is 5 inches to the right because it deflected off the nock of the other arrow

    Killed a lot of deer don't hunt with bare shaft use feathers spin you arrows move you rest and it will out shoot the person use it
    You have good information you don't have to do all that to kill a deer

    • @nathanbrooks4324
      @nathanbrooks4324 Před rokem +1

      True. I’ve seen people hit them with cars and trucks and it’s very affective as well. We are just trying to show people how to be the best they can possibly be with these bows. I mean, we can kill deer with recurves too. We don’t “need” compounds either. Good luck to you!
