This is the NEWER and improved version of the original OCTOblade hub--a 3D printable 8-blade propeller hub. This one is smaller and lighter, and is designed to use the DALPROP folding propeller blades. While this began mostly as a novelty item (and because nobody makes eight bladed 7" propellers), I think it may have potential to be useful in some applications. Balancing definitely needs to be improved.

Nice! My crazy idea: using PC case fans as propellers.

Cool. I found multi blade props to give a locked in tiny whoop feel. I also only used six blade props. Not bad just different.

Would love to see a 4 inch version

That would be easy! Just use 4" blades. But I don't know any if anyone makes 4" folding blades right now.

is there any difference if you use an odd number of propellors. With wind generator you have to have an odd number or the wind generator won't turn.

5:18 what’s your throttle level? Do a comparison for long range standard 3 blade prop setup vs octablade prop setup. Amp draw seems accurate. It does sound quite-er as in sounds windy not high pitch. 👍

Can tell a lot with Throttle level

diminishing returns after 4 blades. Thrust>weight. Optimizing thrust/weight is key with all flying machines.

I didn’t realise how quiet 8 blades can be 😂

    Danggggg that's super quiet

Yes! It does get a bit louder when it's heavier, but still not the typical sound.

They say one blade props are more efficient...🤔😆

But it's a good place here, the police won't catch you if you drone illegally like elsewhere!
