- Let me show you how to use a shock pump to properly tune the suspension of an air fork.
A mountain bike's front suspension needs to be maintained every once in awhile by checking to see if you have the proper PSI for your weight.
Unfortunately, a normal floor pump will not work and you'll need a high pressure shock pump.
If you are interested in the exact PRO Bike Tool shock pump that I use in this video please check out this link here: amzn.to/3ldLEvt (affiliate link)

Good video fixed my mistake of screwing silver first and making my firks loose all the air😂
This was very helpful.
This is awesome, I'm pumped.
😂
Sometimes even easy things are hard if you don’t just get it at first. I watched your video just to get started on my first ever E-Bike from M2S which came with a bad center/rear DNM shock. The dial just froze and it seemed like everything was oily. Called their support who advised shock no good. Lasted about 10 hours on my street, going around the block as Covid had just hit and being 70+ I wasn’t going places yet. Your video was great, thanks, I appreciated it!
Really helpful video, I was thinking of buying a shock pump but I didn’t know how to use it so this video was perfect for me. Thanks loads
Not a problem!
Thank you ! Quick and simple!!
Bought the pump. Thanks.
Awesome! Glad to be a help!
Shockingly easy!
I see what you did there 😂
Thank you.
No problem!
Saved my life. Couple of f bombs later finally got it
Glad to be able to help!
Wa wondering! I have been trying my shock pump on my dropper post and when I unscrew the the red dial it lets air out! I believe I am doing everything the way you have in the video - any suggestions? Thanks
I believe the air that comes out when you loosen the red dial is just from the pump’s hose and the pressure. Not from the fork/post.
@@MichianaMadman thanks for the reply!
Hey I’ve got a this pump I’ve tryied use if it this morning and when I put it on loads of air went into the pump it self and now won’t put air into shock can u help please
Did you use the top nut to open the air valve? It is the red one.
Can this pump a shock beyond 300 psi? Say maybe 350 psi? The description in your Amazon link says 300 psi, but the guage says 400 psi 🙃
The pump can be used up to 400psi. It is very confusing how the manufacturer words it.
Can i use it for my tires?
No, this is only used for the your front or rear suspension. It can also be used on a dropper post.
Can you use a shock pump with tyres
You probably could if it fits the valve. It just might take a lot longer.
Is there a way to check how much psi is in the fork or shock
My pump has a gauge on it.
A tire gauge won’t work.
Can i use my tires air pump to inflate my rear shock??
no, you will need a shock pump as well.
How do you completely deflate the fork using the pump?
I assume you could push and hold the button that releases the air.
I wish I’d seen this yesterday 😢I used my car compressor & now my front is like blancmange fairly cheap to buy too pumps
Oh man what a bummer
I’m buying a pump after work so all is good should be fully pumped up tomorrow

👍
1000 ft. Pounds everyone your shock will luv it
Not sure what you mean?
I suggest using the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Hi i want to pump my fork but i can't
What seems to be the issue?
First vew
And first comment! Haha
Thanks for watching.
You never mentioned how to pre-charge the pump to avoid psi issues . Fail with this video
Thanks for the feedback
