My father has one and I love it when he floored

I like that Ford gave you guys a base model interior and that you guys reviewed it like you were someone that would buy it. You guys could have easily trashed on this truck if you compared it to any non-fleet model car
For $78k they should be laying into it
@@gothops154yea I was gonna remark about that base price lol
its also respect on ford's side as well. usually manufacturers dont like giving base/lower trim vehicles to demo occasions especially reviewers.
Lol it’s because you can’t get nicer trims of the super duties anywhere…. They just started releasing the 2023s a few weeks ago 😂😂😂
@@gothops154acts way to expensive to be so cheap interior wise
As someone who works for a local municipality we have tons of these base model trucks and the fact that you get all that tech stuff like the touchscreen in a base model work truck is insane.
Not that insane when base model cost as much as it does nowadays.
60k for a base model……..
That's why it's 45k
I just bought an F350 XL STX, and as a teenager of the 90's, this thing feels loaded! I grew up driving trucks without AC, power steering, so all these trucks are luxury as far as I'm concerned. Plus my kids wanted the bench seat. It came down to a 5 seater tremor vs 6 seater XL STX for work & play. So I got the XL STX. $63k plus tax.
I drove a Ford E-350 Penske truck with the Godzilla engine, with the back loaded to the max with furniture from a 2 bedroom apartment, from Beaverton Oregon to Bloomington Indiana. I was SHOCKED to be getting 13-15mpg on the highway (averaged 11.5 due to hills and traffic), and even MORE shocked when I floored it after everything was offloaded. It was sooo much faster than it has any business being. Oh yeah, and it had radar cruise control.😳
I died laughing when Jacob put his arm around Yuri saying, “Go faster Yuri”, lol you can really see the height difference they have there but also they’re close friendship
Personally I almost always prefer the base model fleet vehicle appearance for trucks like this. The unapologetically rugged look is utilitarian and genuine looking, instead of looking like a tarted up pavement princess truck.
STX pack: Coming soon to a drive thru McDonald's and shopping mall backed into the bushes near you!
Exactly it's a WORK truck you don't need trim
Same except ill go with the XLT over the XL so you get some luxuries
Perfect for getting to the mall and waiting in line at Starbucks 💪
Small trailers are harder to back up than long trailers.
100% agree I can back a 53 footer all day quickly but a small trailer I’m adjusting a few times
@@level5599yeah very weird feeling
Gotta stay ahead of it
ford really put the super in super duty with this one
Lol you two sitting directly next to each looked hilarious. Like Jakub was helping his little brother launch the truck 😂
As someone who rides in one of these in a crew of 4-6 people mini pocket and storage matter so much, anywhere we can stash more items helps!
This is probably one of my favourite reviews you fellas have put out, excellent work😂
I had the previous model for work , the 6.7 lite was always giving us issues , it’s the reason he brought 10 lightning long range , which have now been downgraded to the sub 160 mile drivers routes since they charge over lunch and get back with 30 remaining
im glad u showed the dart CAPACITY very important when picking out my truck!!!!!!
We have a 2022 F250 XLT with the 7.3 L V8. We love it! We bought it to tow our travel trailer, because our 5.7 L Tundra felt too soft and underpowered sometimes.
“Your leg hair is touching my leg hair!” 😂 love these guys
I’ve got a 2021 150 XL STX w/ 2.7 ecoboom. Best spec’d truck of all time! Rubber floors rule. Easy dash that anyone can quickly figure out. No flash, but looks tight. Love this big brother spec!
For work in Alberta, I've driven 2017, 2012, 2009, and 1996 Ford F-series pickups and generally enjoy them for what they are. Older generations will always be, in my opinion, better to drive as the less sensors there are, the less that break over heavy use. Newer models with the infotainment screen and additional safety systems, when they actually work, mess with the ergonomics of operation. Sometimes I'm on a dirt or gravel logging road and don't want to have to put the vehicle in park to input a new bluetooth device or something along those lines. Although there is usually a way to enable a demo mode in these trucks which negates all of these sensors.
the humor made the video great. Keep having fun.
I'm glad you guys get along so well. Love you guys video
We got the F350 XLT 2018 with the 6.7L diesel. And it cost us 68k 🇨🇦. We have 318k km on it and it's a very reliable pickup.
Great video as always. Fair to mention that the new 6.8L and the (new to gas version) 10speed are both major upgrades for the base F250
We have a F450 with the Godzilla engine. It's very impressive. It typically operates at very low RPMs, like a diesel does. For us payload is more important than towing. And with the Gozilla motor we actually have more payload than we would if we got the diesel. Also, gas is cheaper and so is maintenance.
This F250 has the same similar base interior as the base F150. 2023 had nice minor base interior upgrades over the older models. We have a fleet of fords and yes on the cloth seats over the vinyl. Ford offers a carpet delete on the higher spec models. IMO carpet delete every time as floor boards are easy clean out.
I love that you have a 6.8 Liter BASE engine with the option to go bigger. Our "Ranger Raptor" is the typical size for Pickups in Europe and it has a 2.0 Diesel :D
the 2019 had the 2.0, the 2022 upwards raptor has the 3.0 but still
2.0??? I’m surprised that can even power a lawn mower let alone a truck. Truck needs a V8 minimum 4.0l. Turbos is just gods way of saying it ain’t got enough cylinders.
@@Exluto bro, stop shaming yourself
Yuri's launch is perfect - thanks for the vid. My neighbor's kid has a couple year old one of those with the diesel, gotta uphold his manhood, etc.
Love my 14 F-250….it was a fleet truck and I got it dirt cheap. 6.2L, base model, extended cab, FX4. Been good to me for many years.
Hopefully not from an auction in either Edmonton or Calgary Alberta... 😂😂
@@frasermackenzie7275 nope got it from Hereford, Texas. All the radio presets were Mexican music lmao.
@@yaboykris2118good sign imo.
Easily the best channel they never trash on cars and review them as needed
We trash cars fairly when we need to
I almost passed up watching this one, because I expected the super duty to have the diesel. Thank you so much for not being “those guys“ and reviewing the diesel like everyone else. If it were my money, I would buy the gasser.
you guys used the example of the trucks that drive on the train rails- i can confirm that we do use these exact trucks for that exact purpose. no fancy stx package though
I cut my WiFi at home , but i still listen to youre review because they are The Best, i love you guyz
I want a dash shifter on all trucks. I love my Tundra but hate not having the middle seat up front.
My 04 F150 has the same issue. I miss my bench seats
I can not stand the new tundra
@@Takusanmizu77lol
Ive got a 2022 F250 crew diesel xlt. I've had 4 diesel Fords over the years, and the 2022 one is the nicest so far. 22 mpg driving 55-60 mph on regular roads around here. Not bad for a 7800 pound vehicle. I have a boat business and I have this truck to haul boats and run it right to its max trailer capacity. I had the STX in the previous truck and I missed the xlt features--keypad lock, power mirrors most of all. Trailer and and 360 camera is good to have when maneuvering in tight places with a big trailer. It does the hauling I need it to do and then is not too bad for regular work errands. Engine power is absurd--475 hp 1050 torque. Doesn't have the traction to put it down.
Crazy that a base is going to be 60k.
Its 45k
If you're in the right business. The thing will pay for itself in a year easy.
Thing is, this isn't really the base. It has the XLT interior mostly, LED headlights, 360 cameras, etc etc etc. It's still shocking that an actual base truck is $52k (2wd single cab). You can actually get a lightly optioned XLT for cheaper than the XL-STXs.
Cupholder shortage is enough of a reason to avoid this. Don't they know how important a Tim's run is???
Amazing intro for this truck!
These two are the Rhett and Link of the car world 😁
2:20 that fleet spec looks awesome.
that Tim Robinson drive thru reference 😂
I knew I wasn’t crazy lol
I wouldn’t mind driving this as a daily. Hell, its cheaper than those expensive $80k F150 I want.
I really hope you guys get a chance to review all the Ford trucks for laughs. F450 limited and the 650 would be hilarious
This is super cool interior for a work truck or base truck also like you finally get the cool LED lights on the work trucks and XL’s super cool for ford to do that
Jakobs passion for Ford and V8s is unmatched 🤣
Mostly just v8
@@TheStraightPipes Ok Mr. FiST and Raptor 🙄
Love the red tailed hawk screech at the beginning ! Lol
I always buy the base model truck but as I get older. I kind of look forward to some of the creature comforts.. When you spend 8-10 hours a day In your worktruck you kind of wanna make it a little bit more comfortable... But that me and said I think my next one will be an sxt package like this one I really like the wheels. And I like the color matched bumper and grill it just looks really nice.. But I would get it two wheel drive extended cab eight foot bed.
As soon as Yuri put his arm around you I LOL'd so hard!
Appreciated the I Think You Should Leave reference lmao!
"Wish it had more chrome" said nobody ever.
Old man
Imagining the tips of their leg hairs form hands and are holding each other in the most wholesome way. 🥰
Great review guys!!! 👍🏼😁👍🏼
Love the review
The diesel powerstroke 6.7 counterpart n dodge cummins are one of my favorite powerplants thats for sure
Man you really gotta love the person next to you if they chose the middle bench seat next to you out of five empty seats lmao 😂
Thank you guys for reviewing trucks. Silverado HD next
Finally, a truck for Valentine day!
Theses trucks specially a base model still have an old school American vehicle
The intro tho😂😂😂😂😂
Yuri with the ITYSL references always make my day
So entertaining, love it !
Truly a symbol of American engineering!
Yes i like that you guys are doing trucks too
0:12 nice beat 4 matches door shut 😊
I detail a whole lot of the F-250s. They are solid trucks.
“Go faster Yuri” haha
The high output power stroke is nuts. 550hp and 1250 torque
500, 1200
I enjoyed the review. I’m in the market for either an xl or xlt f250 with a couple of options added. I think with todays prices, 58k gets you a lot of truck with this truck.
Ram Laramie 1500 G/T , my father has one and I love it when he floored
I drive the 2022 fleet f-250, at work and I love it shit hauls my excavator pulls straight . And I can sleep in the back comfortably with an air mattress.
The dart storage killed me lmao
The Straight Darts 🎯
the proportions of this truck reminds me of those trucks i drew as a kid lol
The headlights totally look like what a kid would draw!!
The only thing I’d prefer is the bigger screen on the inside but besides that it’s perfect if I was buying one
I need a bench seat truck or car in my life.
You'll try to never go back. Look at mid/early 90s GM or Buick cars with the 3800 V6s. I love the bench and column shifter in my 95 Olds 88.
The FX4 package is the “best” option… that work surface dinging is annoying! But F250’s BASE XL for 60k?…ridiculous!!!!!
Should be 45k if that.
Could you guys please review a Limited or platinum trim? That way we can see the differences between the model ranges.
Please review more trucks...it's just fun...
The mirrors on visors are for applying makeup...which should not be done whilst driving a vehicle....
that's why they put them only above the 'drinker's seat' area. (VGG).
The dashboard is quite wonderful, a real upgrade from the Maverick...and a keyed lock cylinder within !
This thing looks GOOD!
It's a good lookin truck the new 6.8 is a nice base engine!! I'd choose the 7.3, the XL is definitely a presentable truck the appearance package!!
Instead of box test, dart test! Love the dart talk.
Don’t forget! Uhaul has the Godzilla in their new trucks now haha
😈
This was a fun review to watch. How'd you get whiter legs than mine?
The work surface really is the best thing since sliced bread I wish all truck brands would do. Always hated Chev and Ram Center consoles since they never fit a laptop on top properly. Ford could if you got the bench seat of course, but as someone who works out of their truck, can’t wait to see new trucks in fleets with all these bells and whistles in STX/XLT trucks.
You could use it as a cutting board and slice bread on it
Honestly this is pretty close to my spec truck. Nothing frilly just Get R Done ✌️😎👍
The American flag didn't do it but that eagle screech. Now we taking 😂
The base fleet exterior is beautifully simple.
Can you guys do a tremor platinum review with High output D that would be great 👍
I think XLT with the nicer infotainment, sport appearance, and maybe moonroof if you're feeling fancy is the sweet spot. Love me some bench seats.
That's the route I went. Not that any HD truck is actually affordable but it's about the best bang for buck. I did skip the moonroof as they tend to leak.
"Secert Darts" LOL
Smaller trailers are trickier to back up compared to longer ones. They're so twitchy. Every little movement translates right into them
Yes my old jet ski was tricky. Also because it didn’t exist behind my Raptor and not in my mirrors
the base model with the steel wheels looks sweet, doesn't try to be stylish or anything, it's a proper truck
Was not expecting an I Think You Should Leave reference.
I would like to see you guys test the 6.7 powerstroke
The front with the headlight profile is like a smaller version of BMW's kidney grille.
By the 0:44, my favorite video you've dropped in a while.
MURICA 🦅🦅
Could y'all make an ITYSL reference every week? Please and thank you
I sell commercial Ford vehicles, these are very common among consumer and fleet buyers. The STX is a great value for those that don't care about the adaptive cruise, heated and cooled seats, don't want something crazy expensive and also don't want it to look too much like a work truck from the outside. Even some of my businesses like the STX because it comes with a few more creature comforts than the base model and if they want a more modern look or to let their crew drive the trucks for personal use, this makes more sense.
Often, the base model trucks are upfitted for a businesses needs, i.e. gooseneck hitch for pulling big equipment, toolboxes/ service body and ladder rack for trade workers, big flatbed, etc. The commercial truck business is a big and complicated one with tons of ways to configure the trucks...
Really hit home with the CN rail truck reference cuz I work on them
Am I right?
@@TheStraightPipes you're right
Might be the funniest review y’all have done
That usually happens to the videos that get no views but we have the most fun lol
is it just me or does it have teeny tiny wheels relative to how big the truck is?
Loved my '16 F250 gas engine, sold it at 184,000. I'd buy another if work required it.
