Inclusion and Inclusive Education

In the world's nations' quest for improvement in the field of education, inclusion was identified as a key strategy for the development and success of "Education for All (EFA)" (Iliyasu, 2014; UNESCO, 2005; Peters, 2004). To better situate inclusion in the field of education, and to better implement inclusive education, teacher training programs should include inclusion and inclusive education as a default part of their curricula.
This is an introductory discussion video specifically made for my students in EDUC 65: Foundations of Special and Inclusive Education at the state university where I work at. It is contextualized for their level of understanding about the topics in this lecture.
