- Dear Friends
At last, after many years in the making, we've finally reached the climax of 2012. The Fat Controller has finally made his plans for a new high speed railway line public, a new DMU has arrived for a trail run, and talks of when to start construction are put in motion. However, the local Sudrain people are not happy with this plan. So much so, a group of them all come together with the goal of dragging the North Western's Railway's name through the mud. Everyone is very surprised however, when help arrives from an unlikely source.

This video is not made for vids it's older fans. Kids can still enjoy it but they are NOT the main audience. No no no. - Zábava
So that's why richard hatt was into newer and modern locomotives and made project high speed
I just love how she ripped the sign apart

I love the grey area here. Torvald clearly has more selfish motives given who he's affiliated with, but everyone joined his side for the sake of their own community, and indeed seeing Richard Hatt being the one to be responsible for the coming of the EMUs was most powerful as was the now redeemed Kirby motivating Anthony and Tony to redeem their image.
The clear Titfield Thunderbolt was executed way more comedically than expected, and given how both Oliver and George tend to charge into situations with far less forethought than confidence, it just fits them so well.
I also noticed that Josie had a small arc of finding confidence as a secretary. Richard's arc was reflected in her side of the story not only in the engines taking their anger out on her (when you have problems on the world, blame them on the younger generation. Am I right dad?) but Richard not calling her by her first name until the very end. Just shows how he was very close to not treating his workers like individuals.
Another addition to the grey area approach to retiring the old, just so sweet seeing the main line three of all engines considering just how close they were to retirement, if at all.
Thanks man, I'm really glad you enjoyed this! I'm pleased you liked Josie's arc. I'll admit her character arc was kinda left in the background. There was meant to be another scene with her and big engines but it got cut as it didn't flow very well :( I plan to do more with her eventuallyyyyy!!!
i like the multimedia approach to this! good job!
36:51 HE SAID THE THING, in all seriousness, Davis. This is your best work yet, the humour, animation and the conversation between Stephen and Richard. That was the one thing I was looking forward to the most. Well done man.
Thankss, I'm glad you enjoyed it. The animation took the longest to do, was working on that for AGES. And I'm glad ppl enjoy my strange humour lol
13:00 OH GOODY! A revolution! My favourite!
Same dog, I love a good old-fashioned revolution, and a railway series. 18:51 also is it just me or does the guy in the blue jacket look like a monkey?
This was absolutely amazing as always! I loved how we saw the human side and engine side of how this affected Sodor!
Thank youuuu. I honestly love exploring the human side of sodor. it's so interesting to me lmao. was the hardest part of the episode though, the art/animations took AGES
Beautiful film dude.
