Switzerland Btw i'm so confused every time I see your running route, like bro how flat is arizona? I can't imagine a road beeing straight for more than like 200m, or having no incline at all. Must be great though, I would definetly take the arizona oven heat instead of the frequent rain- & snowfalls over here. But I can't complain about the views I get from my country.
8:14 , sick bro. I'm new to running been around 10 mins , when I really take the run easy I'm around 12 min/mi. First 5k race tomorrow. 1st Half marathon March 24th!!!!
Production and feel at top as always! I trained for and ran my first half-marathon last summer watching your Sub 3 prep, and really loved it, I now really want to run my first marathon this summer! Would love a marathon prep grocery haul so we could see your stapels for fueling over the week 🤞
The day I ever break 3 in the Marathon will be pure ecstasy, nothing in my life i accomplished before will trump it. Currently have 3 marathons in the books with 3 planned for rest of this year so far. At 3:43 right now so I got a lot of work left and I'm super pumped for it
I’m training for my first half marathon rn and you have been such an inspiration!! I’m only training to be able to complete the race, not worried about time yet, but I know when I get to that point I will be coming back to this video again!!
your current fightness is where i want to peak at at the end of the year i am 36 and more at the 320 mark atm. spend 10 years but younger years very active. is pretty crazy when u dont know whats possible. but you know how elite you were in your teens and mid 20's. so yeh i am back running with music and loving it! this video fires me up to but also gives my head a wobble in a good way. meaning it teaches me to enjoy the journey take my time with the gains and get faster slightly by the end of the yeah i want sub 3 marathon in april i want 320 currely at 326. Keep up the good work your helping people more than you think cheers
Thanks for the updates and the amazing achievement. I am an old tennis player/fast-twitch type trying to become a runner. A bit too old to think about marathons or half-marathons, but there is a lot to learn from your videos.
Awesome video as usual! The nutrition aspect is so important. If I outrun or outbike my hydration or nutrition it makes for a long day of needless suffering. Doing an amazing job Nico!
Could you talk about your opinion or approach to strength training, mobility work or stretching/foam rolling? I love your videos but never hear you discuss this aspect of training?
I miss the what I eat in a day as a college student vlogs. I found you on tik tok a couple years ago and just started watching your CZcams channel. It’s crazy how much your content and space has grown. Keep it going!
I trained for the Twin Cities marathon last year but it was cancelled the morning of due to heat, since then I’ve moved to Salt Lake City and am currently training for the SLC marathon, 65 days to go!! 🏃🏼♂️
How did you first get into running/training for marathons? Also I’m curious about your experience as a nutrition student, would love to hear more about why you chose that major!
I’m training for a half and I’m definitely inspired. I will for sure be hiring a coach because I’m just running just to run. If you lift can you please share with us your split?
what is better - running on heels or toes? Really need your opinion on this one cause I am also want to getting into serious running and taking part in marathons. Love your videos ❤.
Great video Nico. How do you consume electrolytes and water during a long run? I don't like running with water in hand, so not sure how I can do this. Also what form do you consume electrolytes in, tablets?
Would y’all say that the COROS is good at tracking miles and heart rate? At the moment I use a fit bit and I’ve seen that it’s always off by .30miles 😕
For new runners like myself, how do you recommend finding a running Coach? Is there a specific website where we can do research on Coaches or how can we find some?
18 of 22 miles at MP? You basically ran the race. Obviously you met your race goal but that's too hard of a workout in the middle of marathon training IMO. I wouldn't encourage others to do that much.
I stopped watching when he said he got a coach to help him running a sub 3hr marathon....come on !!!!! My best is a 2hr28min without the need of a coach....first marathon in my life was 2hrs55min....ran my 2nd marathon 8days later in 2hrs 59min....that was painfull....This is just a quater of my story.....good luck....you are still young !!!!
Where in the world are you watching this from?
Switzerland

Love this!! I just ran my first marathon 2 weeks ago and learned so much!
Running the florida marathon in melbourne fl tomorrow. My first marathon. Shooting for 3:45 but will be happy with 4
good luck. Ran that one last year. It's a cool course
3:53. Not great but got stomach pain round mile 8 which slowed me down big time.

This is awesome. You are such an inspiration
Just ran my first half marathon yesterday and finished in 1h38mins. Started running 5 months ago and couldn’t even dream of running 21km
Hey! So I’m trying to decide when the best time of yea to start running is. I live in nyc so it gets pretty cold.
Now 😊
what app do you use to track your runs?
I'm watching from Minas Gerais - Brasil 😘
running with mic, true dedication. In another year sub 2:50
Amazing video!
Here we go! thank you for these video Nico,
Always! I love making them!

Layton, UT! Training for SLC marathon in April.
Great videos keep going 😤
Bro you make it like a movie good editing
i’m pretty sure i crossed around the same time you did in chicago. i ran a 2:58 as well.
had my first track meet of the season last night and pr with 15 45 dropping 1 15 from my previous pr of 17 flat
Great video as always Nico! Quick question - when you do easy runs, is there a target hr you go for, or is it all based on feel?
For me it’s mostly based on feel. My pace ends up being 8:15-45 on easy days tho.
Florence,SC . Love your vlogs.
I was waiting for it
what is better - running on heels or toes? Really need your opinion on this one cause I am also want to getting into serious running and taking part in marathons. Love your videos ❤.
2:51 marathoner here. I recommend a midfoot strike with a higher (~180 steps/min) cadence, especially if you are prone to injury.
Great video Nico. How do you consume electrolytes and water during a long run?
I don't like running with water in hand, so not sure how I can do this. Also what form do you consume electrolytes in, tablets?
Cool video. Thanks! Which sneakers do you prefer : sc trainer v1 or v2?
Great microphone! Where can I purchase one?
Livonia, Michigan
How do you stay consistent with your runs? Also how do you get your runs in when you have a lot of of things to do that day?
I feel like building a training plan and waking up early really helped me stay on track :)
I am actually watching thos from marshfield MO
Question on the Coros pace 3 watch, why choose this one over other watches? Like Garmin for example?
This video goes HARD!
United Kingdom but moving to Arizona soon 🤩
Would y’all say that the COROS is good at tracking miles and heart rate?
At the moment I use a fit bit and I’ve seen that it’s always off by .30miles 😕
For new runners like myself, how do you recommend finding a running Coach? Is there a specific website where we can do research on Coaches or how can we find some?
South Africa
Michigan
Colorado
San Francisco Ca
Texas 🤠
Thanks for this amazing video Nico ! I'm watching you from France 🫡🇫🇷 (do you speak french ? 🤣)
ever going to run an ultramarathon nico?
Someday
for a 13mile long run, don't you do any warmup before starting to run?
How do you run long distances on the treadmill without getting bored? I live in a cold area so running outside is so difficult
So my long runs are usually 90ish min. Would I just do 2 gels at the hr mark or 1 at 30min and 1 at the hour?
Love these ideas. But FWIW, there is no version of reality where 8:14 feels "easy" for me!
Have you met any locarb runners? I am on the Carnivore Diet.
and here i wanted to improve from 3:20 to 3:00 in 6 months maybe i'm a bit too ambitious
I'm watching exactly 1 mile from 4 silos, do you always run around here?
India ❤
I've got the carbs down, what do you recommend for electrolytes on long runs?
BPN electrolytes all the way! Code NICO
Maybe training?
What do you do for recovery after your runs ? 🇮🇪
What works for me is to stretch, roll, and use a theragun (stretching being the most important)
How much do i need to run one day for a half marthoorn
Bro one doubt who will film ur videos for u???
Uk 🇬🇧
How do you run without stopping
Philadelphia
W vid
Have you ever experienced shin splints? 😭
Italy🇮🇹
Did you run the marathon in AZ today?
I ran the half!
@@nico.felich oh ok nice!
