I loved the P90! My first! Btw, the weight is because at least the BACK is red oak, not ash. The top is DEFINITELY plywood. I got mine for $75 this last week! These FRETS!!!! WOW!
    GOD BLESS!!!

Likewise! It's a killer guitar and gig ready with a few adjustments 👍🏾

I've been interested in learning guitar for the past 5 or 6 years but the entry point to buying one was always just above my budget. So when I found out Amazon of all places offered these super cheap alternatives to the brand name ones I took a chance and bought this one specifically hoping for the best. Once it arrived from delivery and I watched some CZcams videos on how to tune the strings then it was off to the races. I was blown away by the tone and clarity but to ensure I wasn't deluding myself into believing it was better than it is since I'm a newbie, I had one of my good friends who's a guitarist come by to jam out with it for about 30 minutes putting it through it's paces. He also came away feeling impressed saying how it rivals or seemingly beats out other guitars that are 2 and 3 times it's cost. After watching your video and learning now that it's possible to mod I may do that now too very soon. But even without the mod, just right out of the box, it's a steal for what you can get out of it so far. 😇

You're absolutely right! The majority of these cheap guitars are a great value and can be used for a gig with a few mods and adjustments. Thanks for watching!

I picked one up recently and loved the tones you can get for a budget tele. Was quite impressed with the fret board. P90 on the neck sounded nice and full. Bridge pickup had some nice bite. Tone and volume knob had good sensitivity. Overall a win.
I did encounter some buzzing from the bridge with the stock strings but with some setup and upgrades could be a real contender imo. Great for the price. Not to mention it came with tuner, strings, decent soft case, picks, strap, and cable which sold separately would be about half the cost of the guitar. Great value!

Great review. So I just shot a video this afternoon with my final thoughts on this guitar. I was trying to set the intonation and couldn't get the saddles back far enough. So I actually had to move the bridge back. I also have the "ringing" strings. Almost all of them ring. I thought it was the saddle height screws as well. I like the saddles you put in. Did you replace the bridge as well? Tone-wise I think it sounds fine. I'm with you. I'm not a fan of the push-pull coil split. I was thinking of trying to add binding to the F hole. Also, I think the inner block of the guitar is a soft wood. When I drilled the new holes for the bridge it was very easy. Maybe the sides and back are ash. The top is like cabinet plywood! LOL. Anyway, cool review. I subbed. Keep it up.

Fair enough. I ordered one, AND a bridge...

Hahahaha nice! Yeah once you get the bridge set up it's a great guitar. I'm considering using it for my next gig.

@@j.powellnetwork I got today. Tuned it and played it. FAR better than I expected. Once I get it set up I plan to gig with it. See how she do! I REALLY dig it. It sounds as good as my name brand 72 thinline. Will be better with a few weeks. Thanks for the demo.

try some white acrylic nail polish for the f hole as binding! I done it before if you take your time it will look great.

Love what you did with it. I bought one strictly to mod, and man does it need it! Saddles are on the way from amazon. Those sitar ones it came with I just don't understand. The height adjustment screws being too small is a first though. lol The hardware is all going in a parts box, but I might keep the P90 on it. Still on the fence depending on how it matches with the bridge pickup I wind up putting on it. Otherwise, it is barely playable out of the box due to everything buzzing and the saddles randomly lowering my string action if I wail on it. But like you said, the fret work for the money is all worth it. Thanks for the video.

with coupon codes and free shipping, I got one for 64 bucks and change out the door. I have a bunch of fender squire saddles lying around so it was too good to pass up.
