Thank you for introducing Philippine food to the whole world! Your vlogs are soooo educational and plus, it brings back memories of the food I ate in the Philippines when I was living there. Funny, I never knew about Pares though. It looks yummy!! 😋😄🇵🇭
good choice! i used to eat at the original pares mami house when i lived in ph! still miss it!!! 😭
OMG that is amazing, searching for the most exotic PARES places in Manila. The search, by itself (with the intention of telling someone about the joy) is so noble. by god!
There is a spice mix which is actually used to make pares. This is sibot composed mixes of tree barks, stalks, star anise, clove, berries. The resulting broth where you stew the meat becomes dark. You will then add salt pepper, etc to flavor the broth.
Orig pares in retiro is the best... Try ko na lahat sila...
love your travel, food, and cooking content, you're the whole package! Slowly planning my next great Asia adventure thanks to your videos. Been a fan/discovered you on tastemade ages ago. I've been successful with many of the cooking recipes
too!
Salute to you Erwan for highlighting 100% Filipino content!
I love how erwan placing himself to connect with the average filipinos. Embracing the local, hidden gems and not with the fancy things that some cant relate. 😃😃
Also, go to south man! We great pares too! Like manoy&cucuz in laspinas!
Thanks for this vid!! I'm drooling 😭😭
The Original Pares in Amorsolo formerly Retiro is the best of all the best Pares that could offer. Great choice, it was nice knowing that you try it out, like simple people do. 👍🏼❤👏
I knew Erwan because of Wil Dasovich and he's Solenn's brother but I never bothered to visit his channel back then and now I regret it. I never knew he had more of a foodie channel, new sub here :)
i like your vlogs when you’re in the streets, doing what you do best: review. loved this video
Love how you are true to your Filipino roots!!! ❤️ How about tokwa’t baboy for the next one? 😊
This is awesome @Erwan! Hoping for more videos like this but with Anne Curtis 🤞🏼💄💋
ahhhhh....yummmm, I'm sure all Filipinos watching abroad are salivating......
You should have tried Cocoy Pares located in Visayas Avenue QC. For me, it super tastes good 👍🏻
I salute you Erwan for introducing us one of the best Filipino food. I admired your new look in comparison for the vlog you did.
Yummy! You may also wanna try featuring shawarma. TryMo Shawarma in Lagro Fairview is one of my favorites. :)
Notif squad!!!! 💕💕💕
Thank u for being so adventurous in trying out the foods that your viewers suggests and for putting up a great and entertaining content
I just literally finished eating! Now I wanna eat again!😆 Great edit btw!❤️😍
Can't wait to see the Quiapo vlog you made. Keep making more content please!
My family has been eating at The Original Pares Mami House since the 80’s, you should’ve tried their stuffed shrimp it’s the bomb! Hope you do a binondo food crawl (best dumplings, chinese kikiam, etc) and best street food!
YAAAAYYYY NEWW VIDDD
I just recently learned to cook pot braised beef shank for my pares...and it's so good...it felt like eating my favorite beef pares from college days. Now I can just cook it whenever.
Get a panel with you, man. One man show is good but the more the better! Embrace the whole "Worth It" concept since you're already at it
Love Chua I actually like it with just Erwan, because he definitely knows how to describe the taste of what he’s eating. Sometimes, others are just there to be there and would have a very flat opinion of what they’re eating.
Kathlyn B well I would gladly accept the banters if its Nico and Solen lol
YASSSSSS. Original Pares Mami House is far by the best Pares I've had. 💖
La Loma baby represent! So proud of my neighborhood 😊 Nice features Erwan! Looking forward to more of your videos 😁
OMG! As soon as I saw this review I thought of Jonas! Thanks for featuring that place! I grew up like 10 minutes away from that joint back when all they had were 2 benches. Some ate their siopao and mami standing. My favourite was their mami with bola bola... or was it with siomai?
I have never heard of beef pares ever in my life!! I have to try it when i come back home !!
Yaaayyyy new vid 😍
And now I’m craving for beef pares ☹️😭 next video best tapsilog please!!!!
OMG YAY! Pares means a lot to me because this is what I and my late dad eats every morning in his office whenever I hang for breakfast! 😊 I think the best Pares around makati is the one they sell in jollyjeeps
Great video as always, Sir!
And btw, since the Philippines is blessed with an abundance of coconut trees, I recommend that you also try exploring the different local buko pies to find out which one’s the best. I’ve been wanting to know, too. Buko pies from the south are good daw eh. Keep ‘em videos coming papi! Shoutout to mah gurl Jill. Eyyyyyyyyyyy
Sir Erwan, Pares Retiro is the best for me so far. Hope you can also make a video for your own version of Pares. Looking forward to it. God Bless!

I love the simplicity of this guy, simpleng manamit. Erwan your the man.
jona vin It's a style. Think Kanye West clothing... like pang bahay or for the homeless. Funny thing is I bet his simple shirt cost a lot... possibly branded.
Anne Michelle lol nope my shirt is actually really not branded and 10 years old!
Anne Michelle lol nope my shirt is actually really not branded and 10 years old!
Erwan Heussaff Well I did say possibly... 10 years huh... It's legit vintage then... cool ;) You must really love it.
Going to try this out! Thanks for this Erwan!
I dunno why but ive been bingeee watching all of your videoooos hahaha. Loveeee it!!
Noodle King has always been my favorite! Since I was young that's what I wanna eat. Pares on that budget resto.
this video made me hungry 😭 please cook your version soon 😍
We'll wait for your Beef Pares version, Erwan 😊
Watching this while eating peanuts 😂 😂... Tnx for sharing Erwan 😘
Omg same rn
Watching it now oct 2020 while eating peanuts! What a coincinc!!!!
Nakakagutom! I wanna go home na! Iba pa rin Ang pagkain pinoy.
The best pares are the ones eaten on the cart, on the side of the streets. My favorite is from the streets of Taguig. No overwhelming star anis flavor, more on the savory side than sweet. I wanna fly back now to ph!
Erwan I agree the original beef pares in amoranto is really good. I also pair beef pares with shrimp relleno.
THE ORIGINAL PLACE IS ME AND MY FAMS FAVE PARES PLACE! My dad always goes there ever since he was a kid and now me and my brother do too even tho I live a few hours away now, I even asked my brother to buy me pares after every concert I go to and take it home with me to Pangasinan, gosh I love that place and their buttered chicken too! I CAN SAY MORE STORIES ABT THAT PLACE JAKSJD I JUST LOVE IT THATS WHY IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS VIDEO BC I KNOW ITLL BE FEATURED
I recommend that you also visit different ihawan spots in Manila. Sobrang daming options, pero for me it's Ladiao in Montaya Street, Sampaloc, Manila.
Wow, I didn't know Beef Pares is a thing until now. Thanks for the infotainment!
Ugh the way you describe things. Your intelligence just shines through!!!
They look like a great comfort food. I dont remember eating pares growing up back in the day but this would definitely hit the right spot. ♡♡♡
You and Anne make the best pares. Ayiiiieeeee. 😍
Nakakagutom! 🤤🤤 I’m expecting you’ll do your own version of beef pares at the end of the video,, 😉
You did it again, man. Another one of my favorite comfort food
Best pares i ever tried is the one in Bayan, Novaliches. Heaven yun. 😍 nakakamissssss. Thanks for this video erwan, i will try cooking my own pares too now that I'm back in Mindanao
I hope you can make your own version of beef pares with a twist ! More power !
This got me drooling!!!
Hi Erwann! Parañaque is known for its tapa with Maty's as pinakasikat na tapa house. Sa surveys ng best tapa Maty's always on the list. Their barbecue is so good too! Pag nakapunta kayo sa Parañaque please check it out. At masarap na lasagna sa canteen at the back of St. Andrew's school. I'll get back to you sa name. My bad, nakalimutan ko pangalan but it has been there since the 70's. Try exploring also mga kainan sa South. In BF Homes alone marami ka webisodes na magagawa... 😊
I love pares, especially in the Mhellers Laksa and Pares along timog ave. Qc. It is so good. But for real, the best one and the original one is in The Original Pares Mami House. Thanks for sharing and having us crave Erwan.
Thanks for this erwan! such a guide for us!! so timely haha :) keep making awesome vlogs! God Bless!
Pares at Amoranto is the best! Back in our college days after drinking straight to amoranto to eat pares and 3x garlic rice!
Pares sa Retiro is the besssst!!!
Julia Mariah Codamon da besstttt sa retiro laloma!!!!!
Yeah i thought this place is one if his options 😅
tama, yan ang pinaka masarap na pares na natikman ko sa buong pinas.. sa Retiro street
rexovic2014 badtrip siguro siya nung nalaman niya na may noodle king din sa tabi ng d original
MATABANG
can you do "best chicharon in phil?" i love chicharon
Would like to see your version of how to cook pares! I tried fee of your recipes and its a hit with my family! Please make pares 🙏
Hi Erwan!
It has been a very long time since I had what was called Yami Maki in one of the restos in Cubao (late 70s, across from Stella Maris College). Although I've visited the Philippines just these past few years, it only occurred to me how closed beef pares is to Yami Maki. I was wondering if there are still restos in the Philippines that serve this yummy soup.
I'd really appreciate if you could feature this dish on one of your food crawl vlogs......thanks!!!!
Erwan next time try soup #5 or pinapaitan.
It's awesome try it :)
Nice vid bro..
best tapsilog naman :D (personal faves: tapsilog’s from sinangag express and kumpares)
Jonas started out just like D' original pares, the way the area looks... Jonas is still at the same location but they renovated the area. There used to be another pares joint just around the corner of Jonas. It was named Rudy's pares, rumor has it that the chef/cook of Jonas put up his own and called it Rudy's Pares house... but it disappeared after a few years. I completely agree with you on D' Original pares... still is the best that i have tasted... BTW you should also go and try Cocoy's Pares along Visayas Ave in QC.
Carlo Dizon awesome info!
This is actually true. Rudys And D Original pares used to work in Jonas. They broke away and put up their own. I remember the old days of Jonas who just looks like an ordinary paresan
I was craving for Pares when i was pregnant with my 1st born..haha this brings a lot of memories 😄
since backyard grilling i am a fan of the fat kid inside and overnight the best yung with chef jp sa bangkok niyo
i think erwann has a lit 🔥 fashion ever parang si shia lebouf siya ng pinas at napaka humble gawa ka episode na "the skinnyboy outside" about naman sa mga hidden carenderia na legend na sa bawat lugar hehehehe fanboy here 🐣
#NotifSquad !
Do a vlog about the best pork sinigang in the Philippines !
This is what I’m waiting.... best pares goes to Pares, Retiro (Laloma) Of couse! 👏👏 thanks for the visit
Dami ko nkkta pares mami haus sa mnila, but never to try to eat in the pares mami haus..thanks erwan for the blog now kakain na me sa pares..looks yumm!
Original Pares is ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and “to-go” serving is bigger than what you can get while dining in. Hehe.
Now Watching! Ano ba yan napapalaway po ako nakakagutom ang ganitong oras 😅
Nice..! Kumakain kaya si Solenn at Anne nyan?? More vids like this...👍
Original pares mami house! Old school! Hindi pwedeng Hindi kami kakain dyan every time uuwi kami kahit gano pa ka traffic yan 😄
This is my favorite comfort food. Nobody sells that here in SPC so I just cook it myself.
Wow 😮 Worth It PH version 👌😍
Original Pares in Laloma, Retiro is still the best❤️
I remember that place. Back when I was a young teen, we were a frequent customer on late nights. I must try that place again when I travel back. Thanks for the reminder.
Papinalo’s food house in Sucat is the Best!! 💖
Im really just amazed on how u can taste all that fud and still stay in shape.. also, un pag kain m, nakakaenganyo tlga.. buti nlang maraming paresan d2 s u belt hehe 😊
The best Pares I’ve tasted was from the now definct Zendy’s in the Stop & Shop area in Sta. Mesa, Manila, near the old Fernandos grocery..
Jonas Pares pa rin! Comfort food for me. 😂
But i wanna try D' Original Pares Mami House. Thanks for doing these reviews, Erwan! 😊
Tapsilog, siomai, siopao and pancit canton/bihon crawl in Manila please! 😄
I have been watching your videos. You have good content and I am loving all. Keep up the great work Erwan. By the way, can you try working on one pot pasta recipes then film and post it? Thank you!
Try Cocoy’s Pares in Visayas Ave, QC! The pares is legit and they have the biggest siomai around the city!
Also there’s a stand around Vito Cruz Taft (La Salle Area lmao), it’s beside Exile in Leon Guinto Street, the guy sells pares, burger, siomai alongside a big serving of rice for just 30 pesos below! I think they also have tapa as a new dish lol.
the Jonas branch you visited is the original one. it has been renovated so many times. But living in the area where the original pares mami house and jonas is located, Original Pares is still the best for me.
super daming tao kapag gabi sa pares retiro. SAYANG HINID KITA NAKITA
Best sisig... best kare kare... interesting night markets bancheto, mercato.
Cocoys Pares along Visayas Avenue QC.. The best!!!!! high schools days! College days! nothing changed!
Location 1 - I think that's in DANGWA, near Welcome Rotunda! Brings back memories.... eating Beef Pares along España.
Btw pares is chinese beef brisket with fried rice... The rice was suppose to be Yang Chow fried rice and the same spiced beef brisket that they serve beef mami with though through the years they added cornstarch to help the sauce grab on to the rice.
The street version on the pares is more interesting, it has offals similar to gotong batangas but no liver and lotsa beef skin. If you are lucky, some would have brains and eyeballs as a special.
Oh boy! i miss this kind of food from the Philippines.🤤 you are the best sir! Can you do a collab with mark wiens!
I like your humility and simplicity. Do you edit your own videos?
Drop the merch!!! HAHAHA ❤️ you
halfway through the video and i’m leaving a comment already... I am hating being in italy everytime you have toasted garlic!!! Gusto ko ng garlic rice!!!!!
You should try Bluesmith Coffee and Kitchen! It’s in Pasong Tamo. It has everything from Filipino comfort food to American Styled Breakfast all the way to Spanish Dishes. Also in my opinion has the best coffee in Manila.
Thanks for this video Erwan ! :) Pares is
There used to be an amazing Pares House in Intramuros. The place. The ambience. The price.Everything was perfect. It was replaced by a Jollibee.
