In my case… i really hope that they say something about doing the exams again
i hope so tooo because i fvcked up my paper and also some people who were in the same hall as me has gotten the paper 1 day prior to the exam and they managed to finished writing the paper 1 hr early so i think it is really unfair
they might take S1/M1 Grade

wow... honestly what worries me the most is that this tarnishes cambridge's reputation and i cant use their grades to get into uni anymore.
Doubt it will come to that...
But a lot of students got access so the number is huge. Plus, this leak ( as maths p1 ) has caused the most havoc, I have friends in England who gave the 2017 paper and were unaware of the leak as it was so small scale but now, this is like a trending headline so something needs to be done. What do you say about this?
Im not him but I think the countries that got the leaks should resit
yeah my main concern is that british council underestimates the seriousness of the leak because only us students know how many of our colleagues had access, i literally came out of the hall and over 70% of them had done the paper in the morning and very few hadnt had a look. this whole system of exams will be a lot less authentic if retakes don't occur
@@whatami605 Yea my paper went well( it was kind of lengthy tho) but I am still afraid I might end up with a B. Anyways, lets keep in touch and we can update each other on our results

We need Cambridge to establish the scale of the leak - perhaps certain areas could resit but I think whole scale resits is out of the question...
Really appreciate these videos 😢 this situation is really unfair for the rest of us, but also, Cambridge is only addressing Math Leaks so far, while completely ignoring Chem P4 leaks (it was circulating before exam too)
Like increasing GT is not a solution coz it just makes the favor be in the cheaters side, I hope they actually do something about all these papers (I hope u also address them)

@@GingerMathematician i dunno man, but even if I have to repeat p4 i dont mind, but i do hope cambridge makes it fair somehow 😔 i guess right now we need people to even talk about the leaks for there to be action, cause ive not yet come across one person addressing chem p4 leak
I am an IB student who has just sat all of their exams in Timezone 2 in East Asia.
This leak is much more widespread than normal, I think part of the fault is IB not splitting the times up, the 24 hr rule doesn't work. Furthermore IB have tried to downplay the impact of these leaks, I am worried i may not meet my conditionals because of this
I think the IB will reflect on it for the next exam period. I would think grade boundaries will be kept on the generous side because of this.
@@GingerMathematician I hope so too. Lowering boundaries means no people are harmed by the leaks, arguably its the greater good :)
Cambridge already gave an answer to our Cambridge international paper , they said they will take actions against certain cities ( mentioned ) and won’t affect the threshold because they are excluded

Hey! I just wanted to ask if neglecting the paper that got leaked and calculating the mark from the other papers is a possibility? Did it happen before for IGCSE?
It did happen couple of years before and it was biology as well however the leaked paper was paper 2 which represents 25% of the total grade only so they neglected paper 2 and counted 4 and 6

i dont agree, why do they get to have access to leaked papers with no consequences? they are still getting inflated grades compared to what they wud have gotten

We will probably get a Resist or the Papers that were leaked will be cancelled and we will me marked on other components. Last year when I was doing my IGCSE CIE had to cancel all exams from the 9th of May to the 14th of May because of some protests so they had to cancel exams for our safety. The papers that got cancelled for me were Biology Paper 62, Chemistry Paper 62, Physics Paper 42 and Urdu as a second Language (I can't remember which one was cancelled but I think it was 12). I got my grades in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and USL based on other components that I sat. Also there was a leak back in 2013 for 2 subjects and everyone who did the exams had to resit it. It's unpredictable as what will happen. Also many students not only Pakistan but around the world had the paper. This will have a major effect on the threshold.
It's definitely a challenging situation, but you've got this!

@@GingerMathematician oh yeah it genuinely went pretty well. It was quite easy compared to the past papers. Just that the last question which is the planning an investigation(im not sure if you know what that is) was a bit complicated. All my classmates had different methods of approaching it for that question so im genuinely lost. Also, i wanted to enquire about something. On tiktok, there are accounts which have posted the whole math paper 2 variant 2. Like the whole thing and it was the same as the one i wrote. But it was posted after my exam. My question is, will Cambridge do anything about it? And how on God's green Earth have they found the paper?

i think IF resists were to be done the main reason would be to 'punish' the cheaters, rather than to fix the grade boundaries

if there was a group of youtube channels described as elite ivy league math channels, some would be, khan academy, ginger mathmatician, Black pen red pen, numberphile, eddie woo, and more!!!

One thing i really afraid is the grade boundary will be high bez of exam leaked. If Cambridge make the boundary high because of student s who take exam after leaked, it is totally unfair. Because there is many students that take exam before leak including me and they really try hard for it. I really really hope the grade boundary will not be high bez of leaked.

the last time an exam was leaked in pakistan we had to resit the paper. i certainly hope that this is what happens this year mostly cause i f'ed up my P1
Same. I hope our grade is based on M1/S1 cause M1 was way better than P1 for me. Also not that many people found P1 easy and most of the people that said it was had access to the leaked paper.
