    I like the draping effect when a skirt is tied instead of just sewn together. I'd just be afraid of what the wind might do.

    question, do Africans get upset when Blacks wear African patterns?

    • @DSTcenterpOiNtE
      @DSTcenterpOiNtE Před 8 lety +4

      Absolutely not! That's your culture too! Slavery has separated us from one another, but never forget that are roots are uniquely tied together. I'm African born and American raised and I LOVE seeing us embrace one another through cultural elements like dance, music, food, style, communication, and values. There is a movement in NYC celebrating this very concept. It's called #AfroTine - a call for all people of the diaspora to fall in love with their African roots. I say: Wear it and rock it, sis!

    • @AnastasiaBeaverhousn
      @AnastasiaBeaverhousn Před 8 lety +1

      DSTcenterpOiNtE thanks, I ask because I've heard some Africans say we're not African...

    • @jazzcatt
      @jazzcatt Před 8 lety

      +Anastasia Beaverhausen Sometimes, yes. I've seen videos on youtube on just that subject. I think it is a true shame, but I just shrug it off as someones own opinion. I have my own opinion.

    • @AnastasiaBeaverhousn
      @AnastasiaBeaverhousn Před 8 lety

      Cat Jefferson yes it's a shame, I'm PROUD of who I am!!!

    • @jazzcatt
      @jazzcatt Před 8 lety +1

      As well you should be! Just as long as pride in one own cultural background doesn't overshadow one's humanity. I think that is what has happened with some Africans when they bitch at African-Americans or African-Europeans wearing African prints and styles. Many Africans don't even realize the history behind Kitenge or Khanga! If they did their thoughts on the matter just might be different!

    you need to minimize your use of material the way you lay things out it could be done in another way I'm not trying to be hateful or anything but you wasting a lot of material
