Yep. Bruce's vocal is so awesome that he can cope with all those high and strong notes. It would be very tiring for most legendary singers to sing in such style, but BD is above that. That's why he's the best metal singer in my opinion. The legendary "air siren" ;)
Look at the entirety of "Sad Wings of Destiny" by Judas Priest and tell me that they didn't do the same high notes with more clarity
@@matthewpalm7484 Halford has way better vocal performances than Sad Wings of Destiny. That album is a snooze fest. He sounds way better on Defenders of the Faith and Painkiller. But even then he doesn't have as powerful of a voice as Bruce. No diss on Halford, love the man.

Maiden was my first favorite metal band and is still the band that I use as a benchmark for "true Heavy Metal" ( I know, I know, that's just an opinion) and Bruce Dickinson's vocals are absolutely God-like (now that Ronnie James Dio has passed away, I guess Bruce has no competition.) A good album producer, along with a top notch engineer, can always find ways to hide or mask sloppy vocals behind the music. Then you hear THIS, and there are no flaws to hide. Freakin' AWESOME!!!

There is - with the right software and the DVD or bluray versions with separated tracks, some have accomplished the same thing.
Sorry, I don't know the software used - and I'm not sure if all of the DVD music releases are separated this way or not - I just know I've seen others do this with some of Maiden's songs in such fashion.

I think, somewhere in time, powerslave is the peak in Bruce voice. Its not that raw power as Piece of mind but it has alot better control of the notes. Seventh son started his downfall.
***** Bruce had voice problems during the whole 1988 almost til 1990 where he changed his style further. You can hear his voice problems during the seventh son tour. Still great on the album, but not as good as any track on Powerslave or Somewhere in time
I'd say his best vocals are on POM, he lost his resonance after that and wasn't as powerful.
His voice on BNW sounds absolutely incredible

wouldnt say that he lost his voice or anything.. he tried new way to sing, and due to the theme of the songs it was a good match.. my opinion at least.
but overall he is as good as he had always been :) take and listen om "book of souls" album, even tho he had cancer in his throat while recording the songs, he nailed it.. my opinion on "book of souls" one of the best album Iron Maiden has ever made.. note one of the best.. cuz its a problem to say which is the best.. I also love all albums after 2000.. its a new sound from Iron Maiden, but still Maiden, but Book Of souls was/is a true master piece :) all instrument and vocal Amazing! :)

Dude what is going on with all you base heads? These vocals are pretty bad. The music drowning out the beginning of his notes and then transitioning into his vibrato is what makes it great. His vibrato is they only thing he had going on.
