- It's been a long time coming, and I have had to pay the price. The premium is steep but this series is going from strength to strength. The Griffin of Edward is the best looking of the Queen's Beasts coins and I'm delighted to add her to my gold stack!
Another excellent video - beautiful coins.
Super, Smashing, Lovely, Marvelous. Love these Beast's in Gold, Fantabolous Video SN.
Well thank you kind sir!
Wow those are beautiful 👌🏼
Very nice. I haven't been able to bring myself to pay the premiums on these, but they do look good
I just had to! And to be fair I have always said I wanted the griffin so just had to bite the bullet!
@@StackerNoobUK I don't blame you. I doubt it will lose much value either
@@jbullionaire2749 I see them going for like $700, $800, and $900 cad on ebay these days.
Very beautiful
the gold lion is awesome i like the eagle too, thanks for sharing, ive got a 2.5 gold eagle/indian on the way..cheers bud
Love them!
Me too!
Nice video Stacker Noob and Griffin is a good choice even if a bit expensive
Fantastic coins mate.I have all my Queens beasts up to now. Unfortunately only in silver 1oz but I enjoy them and will complete my series. I am definitely going to start on some gold coins soon.
Nothing unfortunate about it man the silver is beautiful too! Don’t wait too long though!
The big coin is a beast, indeed. nice collection of gold,
Cheers! Thanks for watching!
Love the box for them
Cheers! A nice cheap one but it works!
Love these. Started with 2020 Lion of Mortimer, then got the 2019 Yale of Beaufort, 2020 Horse of Hanover, then another 2020 Lion of Mortimer, lol. Just picked up a 2014 British Gold Sovereign, a little cheaper than the 24k Q.B's, but Sovereigns are 22k. doesn't really bother me, Something about those Sovereigns, but I do prefer the Queen's Beasts series, being that they're pure 999.9 and premiums seem to be high on all gold no matter the total price, quality or weight.
is the royal mint best plqace to get a hoild of those 10 oz beasts mate? im looking to get those for my stack
Actually I would say no. Best to source these from European suppliers to save on VAT. Eldoradocoins, europeanmint etc are good places. The older ones are hard to find though, so good luck! Maybe join the silver forum as people sell them often on there but be prepared to pay a hefty premium!
Really like how your gold collection is progressing mate...and I'd kill for a 10 oz silver griffin...very rare these days...
Appreciate it bud! Yeh they are getting hard to find! Makes me wonder if I should cash in now or not?!
@@StackerNoobUK ok mate...let me if you want to sell yours...i'll take it if you are..
Nice bud
Thanks man!
Well now that you have the first 2 1/4's it would be rude not to collect the full set ;) but yea they have gone up somewhat, i paid £280.92 for the Griffin in 2017, which was nice
Haha don’t man I’m really torn here!
Love my beasts...
And I love mine! Cheers
How do you buy silver in the UK with out the premium. Is it possible to buy silver close to spot? Cheers
Close to spot, not really, but if you look in the right places you can avoid spending more than 20% over spot. Join up at thesilverforum.com members there are always selling bullion for decent prices. Not unusual to see £16/oz right now which is about 20% over spot. I have bought on there for as low as £13.50 / oz.
@@StackerNoobUK thanks pal . Great information. At one point I was looking at buying from Guernsey but you need to buy a lot to pay for the journey. 👍✌
How do you come to accept VAT on silver Vs no VAT on gold for royal mint. I notice that a lot of your coins are royal mint. But your paying VAT on silver but not on gold - assuming you are buying in the UK. How does this effect your long term plan? For example if they drop VAT on silver or put VAT on gold.
So I havent really bought anything from the UK at all. I’m guessing that in total a good 20% of my spending is on premiums, taxes and postage. But I’m fine with this. My stack is deliberately skewed to silver because although gold is the safe investment, I think Silver is what will end up giving the biggest returns. It’s a long game for sure, but I’m certain that a little extra spent now will translate nicely for the future!
@@StackerNoobUK thanks for the reply. So I have gold, but want to diversify to silver. And from the research, I feel like I may as well get a euro train to Germany and bring back silver. As I could do it in a day travel.
I just don't see the investment in purchasing silver in UK. As you would have to get a 20% increase before making a profit on the metal.
Where do you get your silver from....if i may ask?
@@StackerNoobUK btw I've assumed you are in the UK, due to your account name. I get my metals from UKbullion or shaprspixley as they tend to have best rates. But the silver are obviously well above the actual metal price.
You are right to assume I’m in the UK! But I buy from European sellers to lessen the VAT hit. I never buy from UK suppliers because it’s a rip off in my opinion. Unless they have something I really really want that is.
Oh yes, it's worth it. Especially if you need it to make a set. Nice pickup Noob
Haha stop tempting me to collect them all!
