I just got a 2023 civic ex last week (after waiting months for it), but was disappointed to learn that this feature was removed because of parts shortages. It should not be advertised as a feature if it’s no longer available. I kind of wish I kept my 2019 model. I’m paying more for a new model with less features..

I bought a brand new Honda Civic in 2020. I am a multigenerational Honda consumer this was nearly my tenth Honda vehicle. From the factory, the vehicle had numerous issues and I was constantly taking it to the dealership for warrantied service at Honda. While driving on the highway one day, I noticed the vehicle stopped making power and stopped accelerating (25,000 miles). I had to downshift & excessively shift and give it gas to get off of the highway. It was a life and death situation. The next morning I could barely drive the vehicle to New Century Honda in Glendale and nearly needed it towed. When I arrived I explained the situation of what happened of the car failing on the highway. They checked it out and told me the clutch and flywheel was deteriorated and it must be user fault. I told them it is impossible as I have had multiple Hondas reach over 300k-400k miles on the original clutch. They charged me nearly $3000 for the repair and refused warranty. Last month, I was contacted by multiple certified Honda mechanics who told me that I am due a full refund because a service bulletin by Honda came out and it was the EXACT same issue and repairs that I paid for "Due to supplier production issues, the friction disc material may have prematurely worn" (service bulletin 22-017) -September 5, 2022. I called six other Honda mechanics in North America and they confirmed they fixed this exact same issue free of charge for dozens of customers with my same make and model. It is also posted all over Honda forums with hundreds, if not thousands of customer complaints. I contacted Honda and opened a case #13733887 (March 21). My case manager never contacted me back and said they thought it was reassigned. I had to call them 20 times by now and they never call back. It has been weeks now and no solution. They owe me $3000 and refuse to contact me back & are avoid my voicemails. They Honda mechanics warned me this would happen. Lawyers told me Honda is being sued for lemons.
