The first time i met the woman who is now my wife,i knew without a shadow of a doubt that she was the one and i was going to marry her,it's now been 10 years.
The thing I don't understand is that it should be easy for the average person to date because most people want to drink, smoke, have sex, etc, and do everything the world does. The people like myself, have the hardest time dating someone who tries to do the opposite of everyone else. But that goes to show you even average doesn't work. If you want marriage or relationship to work you have to be ye transformed by the renewal of your mind.

Full Transparency-a 60 year old man whose pursued me for 4 years said he stopped when I told him I’m on a healing journey and he respects that! I introduced her to the Dear Furture Wifey podcast this past December 2021 when she visited my home for the 1st time to help celebrating my 40th birthday. We knew each other for 21 years, and were roommates in college. I know I've always encouraged in her desire to wait on God for her right man. She encouraged me too. But I never thought she valued my inputs. That's why I stepped away from being bestfriend. The lack of reciprocity, I couldn't take it anymore. Plus after telling me her important people and realizing I was not in that group, I felt devalued. Truth is, I own the part that I wanted the friendship more than she did. First let me say...my hope is in God and God alone. I decided last night to go to a jazz cafe alone. It was lovely, BUT sitting at a table alone while everyone was on a date or with friends was a little heavy. I don't have girlfriends, as I'm pretty much a loner. I'm so ready for love after being abstinent for 14 years. I'm ready for God to bring someone wonderful into my life. When I say I'm ready for love...I'm not saying sex...lets make that clear.

The last two years I have been more intentional about my relationship with God, myself and my future husband! My desire is to be married to my purpose partner! Just living can truly be a challenge. I knew I was becoming bitter when I was waking up agitated but I said thank you God anyways. I continue to rebuke the devil. The same thing happened to me washing my hands. I looked up and realized I was aging quickly at just 31. God told me just get ready like my promise is already here. Keep praying for those who hurt me. Don't believe the lies of the enemy. Keep forgiving, smiling, laughing setting boundaries and being gentle between the tears. I used to be so giddy, playful and soft and the only women I could relate to was Janet, mariah carey, and ciara. Their essence in their 90's interviews made me feel like it was ok to be the feminine me. Growing up there was no one around like me all the black women around me were tough as nails and I quickly learned my softness made me easy prey. I was on my own by the age of 12 and truly yearned for covering so you can only imagine the hands that landed me in.. Also, I wasn't saved but GOD has been so, so good to me. He saved me from so much. He has been my covering all along. I gave my life to him a year ago and this walk hasn't been no joke but I refuse to give up. I just love him so much & he's so deserving of all the worship and praise.

Love bombing and narcissistic tendencies is real. Went through this but I was so aware of myself. There were issues and he said we get marry and will deal with the issues then. That to me was looking at divorce before being married. I wasn’t going to get married to be divorced. As I couldn’t agree to his intentions he started acting up. I was gone as I love me and demand respect as I am a Queen and not ordinary.

This is very encouraging to watch. I love stuff like this. I am currently fasting and praying about the next chapter when it comes to marriage, being marriage ready, and God allowing me to settle down. The dating streets is real but God is bigger than what we as singles see out here. Showing up for myself as well as that young lady said. I am on a healing journey submitting to God. I am not perfect but I know God has someone truly special for me at his right time. Keeping all my brothers and sister lifted up who are on the same journey.

First let me say...my hope is in God and God alone. I decided last night to go to a jazz cafe alone. It was lovely, BUT sitting at a table alone while everyone was on a date or with friends was a little heavy. I don't have girlfriends, as I'm pretty much a loner. I'm so ready for love after being abstinent for 14 years. I'm ready for God to bring someone wonderful into my life. When I say I'm ready for love...I'm not saying sex...lets make that clear.
You are beautiful. Keep being hopeful, then take positive steps to find a mate: go out, match maker, tell your friends and family to recommend good people, engage in coed hobbies, keep hope alive.

I have yet to meet a man at 42 who is an active believer! I've met men who say AMEN and quote scripture but the fruit shows otherwise! The last two years I have been more intentional about my relationship with God, myself and my future husband! My desire is to be married to my purpose partner! Now with understanding that everything we do should be to glorify God!
This was yet another great and enlightening conversation. But the thing said that really spoke to me personally was Laterras' "FINE CHINA" analogy. That impacted me on such a personal level. I'm 60+, been single ALL my life and really desire to be married. But sometimes lose hope because I feel maybe I've missed my chance. Thank you, Laterras for those beautiful words of encouragement! Just living can truly be a challenge. I knew I was becoming bitter when I was waking up agitated but I said thank you God anyways. I continue to rebuke the devil. The same thing happened to me washing my hands. I looked up and realized I was aging quickly at just 31. God told me just get ready like my promise is already here. Keep praying for those who hurt me. Don't believe the lies of the enemy. Keep forgiving, smiling, laughing setting boundaries and being gentle between the tears. I used to be so giddy, playful and soft and the only women I could relate to was Janet, mariah carey, and ciara. Their essence in their 90's interviews made me feel like it was ok to be the feminine me. Growing up there was no one around like me all the black women around me were tough as nails and I quickly learned my softness made me easy prey. I was on my own by the age of 12 and truly yearned for covering so you can only imagine the hands that landed me in.. Also, I wasn't saved but GOD has been so, so good to me. He saved me from so much. He has been my covering all along. I gave my life to him a year ago and this walk hasn't been no joke but I refuse to give up. I just love him so much & he's so deserving of all the worship and praise.

I can't believe it all the God is doing in my life... I'm so grateful. God keeps blessing me in my day, yesterday was my birthday and today, I was running late to go to church... BUT NOT FOR GOD...😭😭😭 I've been having so many blessings. I got a rose from a stranger on the train 😳😭 and God remind me that my value is not just for one day on my birthday but it's everyday... I cried, gave this lady a hug and start talking to her about God then when I got to church church He was incredible, He said I'll bless you 10 times more than what you asked for... 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️💨💨💨💨He's been revealing to me... better things are coming, just keep your trust in me. I realized with all your guess,Counseling was one of the key things that help them over come past issues and start to make the change internally. I had one to many failed relationships,I'll blame them but looking back i realized where I went wrong. Right now I feels no way close to being ready for a relationship. Love bombing and narcissistic tendencies is real. Went through this but I was so aware of myself. There were issues and he said we get marry and will deal with the issues then. That to me was looking at divorce before being married. I wasn’t going to get married to be divorced. As I couldn’t agree to his intentions he started acting up. I was gone as I love me and demand respect as I am a Queen and not ordinary.

This is very encouraging to watch. I love stuff like this. I am currently fasting and praying about the next chapter when it comes to marriage, being marriage ready, and God allowing me to settle down. The dating streets is real but God is bigger than what we as singles see out here. Showing up for myself as well as that young lady said. I am on a healing journey submitting to God. I am not perfect but I know God has someone truly special for me at his right time. Keeping all my brothers and sister lifted up who are on the same journey.

Im glad the guy wanted her to meet his parents it shows more sincerity….really when you are trying to get married it does involve parents. I think a lot of us mess up because we don’t listen to our parents when picking mates.
