  • The Manchester Low-Level Route is an airspace corridor designed to help pilots transit North-South and vise versa between the controlled zones of Manchester and Liverpool. It's 4 nautical miles wide and has a maximum altitude of 1300 feet on the Manchester QNH. It's class D airspace but you don't have to speak to a controller as long as certain conditions are met, which I explain in this video. A friend and I fly South down the LLR in a Mainair Flying School C42 microlight pointing out some of the key landmarks. I hope the video is useful and interesting!
