I consider this to be one of those 'sacred' songs that no other band should perform, because no one can touch or should touch Peter Gabriel's original. I believed this until I heard Danny Lopresto's scintillating interpretation and the stellar musicianship of HSCC. Solsbury Hill is still 'Sacred', but HSCC have earned the right. Brilliant!

It's frightening to think this song is 45 years old next month, yet its as fresh as its ever been. Fond memories of being a third year engineering student playing this on the juke box in the students bar at college. Wish I could turn back the clock, but this song does it for me.

It is hard to cover PG, a lot of times it sounds odd without his voice because there is so much character in it. This dude isn't as clean voiced, and that helps, but I still feel like I am missing all that vocal static.
@@gooberthoreau I agree. All the raspiness and imperfections is what makes PG sound like PG. Great cover nonetheless.

Agree, if anything I believe that when the original artists see these covers would have a great deal of appreciation that others make this kind of effort to perform the song so well.
This gave me goosebumps from head to toe within 10 seconds...........Bloody Brilliant. Danny Lopresto, you really are a true master of your craft. In my opinion you really are one of the best and most versatile male vocalists going around. To all of HSCC I truly wish you all every success you guys are something special !!

@Brian Mooney I don’t have to be an expert to know this guys a great drummer, but his hands are somewhat tied playing in this setting. I’m sure he knows exactly what I’m talking about, but maybe you don’t…..which might make me more of an expert than you at least.

A lot of this cover make this special..But...that beating heart off that reflection of that pedal beating off that polished floor was mesmerizing and gave this cover a pure beating heart. Fantastic!!

I've been connected to the audio/music industry most of my adult life, and without a doubt, the HSCC has to be the best cover band I've had the pleasure of listening to.

The HSCC are...AWESOME, each week I listen for the new song to be inspired. I live in Bath, England, my road is called Hill View Road, and at the end of the road is Solsbury Hill. I think of this song every time I come home and will now have this fantastic version from the HSCC running around my head! Thank you so much HSCC for all you do. (BTW if anyone is in Bath walk to the top of Solsbury Hill to enjoy the lovely view of the city)

Have run out of superlatives to commend the accuracy and integrity of each version covered. More to the point, that at my age of 62 you cover all my favourites from the mid-late 70’s to mid 80’s allowing me to hang on to my musical memories from a time when music and musicianship were at their best

Listening to HSCC opened my mind to bands doing covers, I mean, there are a lot of good bands out there but to me, HSCC has what I like in a band, they are not a tribute band, their covers have their very own touch while keeping the song close to the original and we all believe Con Delo is the creator behind. The first song that got me hooked was Sarah Lloyde's interpretation of Chaka Khan, I'm every woman, HSCC vocalists and the band are the perfect combinations. My personal favorites Pina and Kat but all of you guys Jordan, Danny and the rest of the guys make the band sound so great that is easy to become a fan... I'm a fan.
