Yep I'am in England and have a 550 pro power drive. Came online to find a new drive belt and came across your video. Wow your mower looks almost new compared to mine bought second hand in about 2000. Sadly my local mower shop which was a victa dealer closed during the covid-19 lockdown and never reopened. Traditional old place with stores and loads of parts. Now have to get spares online. Yep lovely old two stoke reminds me of my first motorbike- a BSA Bantam D7.
I've got a 460 Professional and it is a formidable mulching mower. Power every stroke makes a huge difference in tall grass! It is simple, reliable and very tough and like most Aussies, it loves a drink and a smoke but still gets the job done. 😂
those 2 strokes are simply unbeatable and that,s a Victa 550 Professional Self Pro-Pelled type and yep those large fuel tanks are lovely when mowing longer areas of grass and even larger longer grass love your Scottish Accent too
She’s a little ripper! I have the successor 560 non self-propelled as I need the exercise! Parts aplenty for these engines they probably made close to a million power torque engines. Happy mowing she’s a keeper and that two stroke idle just is the business m!!

My understanding is the muffler guard was put on for you safety savvy poms . Our mowers out here have never had muffler guards . Good unit . Does it mulch well ?
Sounds like it's overrevving abit. One cause is worn manifold o rings and another is the governor diaphragm isn't sitting right and not sealing somewhere along the edge. Paint looks good. Looks like new as a result.

Ive found one, for 120$ in exelent condition, model is 550PRO not selfpropeled but with 4 cutting blades. Looking forward to work with it. Only concern is power, becouse of 2strokes engine.... and how does handle taller grass, 30-40cm tall?

Ive had other similar models and none had an intake as big as this one....maybe a one off, who knows ?

It loves it. It will handle stuff that will give a Briggs a panic attack.
Just don't straight fuel it.
2 Stroke have less torque at low revs but at high working revs they are more power..
You will stall most lawn mower 4 strokes before these..
