@@johnnyDs82more like 2013, last season I was saying, ya our record is terrible, but if you watched the games, it reminded me of 2012, starting to come together, then we go out and get some vet pitching (similar to James shields, Wade Davis) . Maikel, Bobby, Vinnie, and this time a certified vet leader with Salvy
Royals are an excellent team this year. Awesome
A few positives to focus on for Jays fans.
- These back to back 1 run losses could easily be wins if Vladdy plays to half his potential. As the team was literally 1 hit away from the W
- Danny Jansen is back
- Pitching is coming together and I’m liking what see from Rodriguez
- Varsho looking good at the plate and in the field
-other than Vladdy and Bo (mostly Vladdy) struggling, the rest of the team showing promise
- still early in the season, plenty of time to get rolling
As long as you get in the playoffs, anything can happen. Starting July the men are separated from the boys.

Salvy is going to end up in the HOF.
That hit by Barger was a missile directly to the pitcher. Hope he’s not out for long.
Finally the Royals are looking like a team to compete with again
As a Jays fan, 2 consecutive 1 run losses is tough, especially when you know that just half a performance from Vladdy and those are sure wins!
Sure, Jays fans can bash Vladdy for being a very good player and not a superstar. But the frustration should be directed at management. The on field product is lacking outside of the pitching. Like last year, this is an uninspiring team that is frustrating to watch. They simply aren’t good enough and are wasting a great run of pitching

Great pitching and outfield defence (usually). Hitting wins you games though. We need to trade
Schneider should've been let go last year. A mediocre coach at best. Completely lacking in feel for the game or his team.
Everything began to go wrong when they had to let go of Teoscar Hernandez and others to break up the "Valddy Crew". Vlad is clubhouse poison. Who says "This is my house" instead of "This is OUR House" referencing Rogers Centre? Of course, the NYY clinched the division the night after. That incident was Vald in a nutshell.
The Jays lookednstrong in 2021 and missed because the WC third spot wasn't yet in play. Been downhill ever since. I think the Jays and Rays regress this year.
It's all Vlad's fault. The team had to trade Teoscar Hernandez and others because of the disruptive "Vladdy crew". Think about it? Who proclaims their team's stadium as "My house" instead of "Our house"?
The NYY clinched the East a day later. Typical Vlad. But at least Vlad can play on a major league field. Unlike a certain Alek Manoah, another big mouth who's a hot mess.
Blue Jay's gotta get it going. There is way to much pop in that lineup for only bichette to be hitting.
Bo is barely hitting. Vladdy is useless.
Bo is not playing well either, correct about Vlad. I am however liking what I’m seeing with several other players.
Jays were 1 hit away from the W these past 2 games. Half a performance from Vladdy or Bo and those are wins.

Yes Barger had a bad play on that long slicer over his head but at the plate he made great contact or had a hustle to everything. Nothing to show for it but when those start dropping he's gonna make some damage there. Finding him a spot on the field though with the roster is going to be tough. Jays have too many 3B/2B/LF at the moment.
Well kiermeier can only hit weak dribblers but the Jays seem to value outfield defence over scoring runs or winning games these past 2 years so who knows. Barger got unlucky and looks promising, first AB would've been a home run at many ballparks and a hard hit ball off the pitcher into an out. Great play he made too in left for not having played the position at all leading up to this game.
They said on out broadcast he’s never played LF at this level too. So certainly excusable

All these 1 run losses are literally just lacking the play we’d expect from Vladdy! If he even gives half a performance, the Jays are in 1st place in the AL East!

Don’t blame Vladdy and Bo . It’s not their fault that they were hyped up to be superstars when they are just adequate baseball players.
You can’t build a team around them. Head office needs a new plan . Vladdy hasn’t been the same since they traded away his barrio mates. First Guriel and this year Espinal. He is just not having any fun playing. Add to that the taking away the home run jacket. These are all the things that had him playing free and easy.
They weren’t “hyped up” for no reason. They have way more potential than they are showing this season.
They will be fine it’s a long season.

Because the batter would have been safe at first, he was a fast runner, and KC would have scored a run.
@@bdito2161 just need 2 out to shutdown the innings, and the runner in 1st to 2nd Base was salvy #13..... Mj and salvy speed is able to made the Double play + no earned run
there is zero chance they are turning a double play on a soft bouncer to 1b. Especially with a decent runner like Melendez. Vladdy made the 100% correct play going home.
