As we head into a new season of Formula Drift, join the Papadakis Racing crew and Fredric Aasbo and Ryan Tuerck for a behind the scenes look at the Irwindale season ender in 2021. This is for real. We all worked hard for this. The stress is high (for most of us... Freddy somehow is fine?). Spoiler alert: We won the championship!

ABOUT PAPADAKIS RACING:
The Papadakis Racing team began drifting in 2004 and is the most winning team in Formula Drift history, earning the 2015 & 2021 titles with driver Fredric Aasbo, as well as back to back championship titles with driver Tanner Foust in 2007 and 2008. The Rockstar Energy Drink / Nitto Tire Toyota GR Supra is the latest competition build from the Carson, California, based team.
Team owner Stephan Papadakis is a legend of sport compact racing who began building his reputation in the 1990s with the first front-wheel drive, tube-chassis drag car in the U.S. The team earned multiple records and championships in the discipline, turning in elapsed times and trap speeds previously thought unattainable in front-drive drag cars. Papadakis' successes in front-wheel drive were matched by his efforts in rear-wheel drive when he campaigned a Honda Civic that became just the fifth car to join the NHRA's Sport Compact 200 MPH club - Auta a dopravní prostředky

Love watching the reactions during the run with Vaughn - especially hearing the 2 different engines ripping in the background. So coooool!
Seeing the emotions of the team is great. You have to respect the time and dedication a top level team like this puts into building and evolving the car. No room for error whatsoever, on team or driver.

Some of the stuff Drift Games does is epic. The documentary (Clipping Point) about James Deane was brilliant and the behind the scenes series they did about running the Irish Drift championship was eye opening.

And he’ll be done rebuilding the gearbox in 10 minutes as opposed to hours or days like most people.
this is the coolest video of 2022
it's so insane what these teams do to stay competitive. things that would take even the most skilled mechanics days is done in hours. rebuilding crashed cars and getting the suspension back to spec for qualifying. taking the 2arfe engine to the absolute limit while noone else gives a shit about it, then doing the same with the new supra engine better than anyone else. I really hope everyone realizes how incredible the work they do is
