Growing up in Idaho, I could never get myself to explore the many caves in the Craters Of The Moon area. Maybe 20-30 minutes from my home. I didn’t mind dealing with rattlesnakes and such on the surface. But in a cave? No thank you! And double no thank you now that I’ve encountered a shadow person while trail running at night. Imagine running into one while deep in a cave!
