I have yet to either produce or hear anyone produce a sound with this pedal that sounds useable. It’s more Fizz than Fuzz and bears more relation to an overloaded amplifier than it does gain or distortion.
Very well built but extremely niche so try before you buy

Great video! I own the Broadcast and I'm convinced it's the best drive pedal I've ever owned (included in that list: Jan Ray, KOT, Shanks 3K, Shanks 2K, Kingsley Minstrel and Page). One piece of criticism, it would have been cool to hear an A/B comparison of the pedals at similar gain levels. That way we could hear the EQ differences and the differences in the nature of the clipping. Even better would have been if you'd done a clean boost comparison, mid level gain comparison, and the balls to walls comparison.

Two best Drives going.
Just found this cast, and it's good to see guitarists that aren't afraid to light into it.Most of the time, I feel like I've no idea what the pedal actually sounds like .
Should use the single coils ALL the time.

Good review, you can really hear the pedals as they were. Would have been nice to hear them with a hum bucker gar too, though.

hello great vid ... can i ask you ... what volttage your running the broadcast ?
9v / 12v / 15v / 18v / 24v ????
cause mine doesnt get so "gritty" as yours as i try your setting suggestions !! :)

9 volts... The higher the voltage, the more clean head room it gets!

Also... Both of our guitars have pretty high output pick ups in them. If you’re only running single coils, maybe consider running a boost or an overdrive pedal in front of it?
