As a carpenter and aquarist, that drywall dust is horrible for filters and electronics. And probably fish too. Just make sure to take care with the dust!
I hope you cleaned that out really really well thats a water/food basin for cattle (multiuse depending on what you need it for) sometimes the algae blooms after winter when the iced over water in them melts can be really nasty and leave a lot of germs and critters living in them (source: working on a cattle farm for 3+ years)

Ummm, wearing a mask when doing with drywall, silicates or any fine dust particles is a must. These particles, when inhaled can coat your lungs and over time, can be life threatening. Once in your lungs, they aren't expelled and are accumulative. Please stay safe my friend.
