"For sale. Great condition. Only ridden a few times."
NEVER RACED
ONLY RIDDEN ON PAVEMENT.
😂
Lol
Only bottomed out once
I know everyone wants to see a downhill bikes version of this
jorthan salinas yes please
👍yep
YEP!!! :)
Try a hardtail
YES
35 psi or as Sam pilgrim calls it, “a flat tire”
limyohwan anything under like 200000000 psi is flat to him
Ride more street and you'll see why! Lol
limyohwan that is the best comment I have ever seen
@@FusedAdventures I ride street on a foam insert tyre with a mini tube in it a 16 psi and its much nicer than 40psi over the pressure limit
@@danieltindley3252 you need hign pressure for tyre taps and foot jams and stuff otherwise everything is too spongey.
2:50 that flex on the pivot frame was scary
more so the flex on the mondraker
It's a mach 4 for cross country with a noodle fork on it.
All regular Fox forks are noodles.
Where's the flex?
Are gears are good for off-road
Wanna see a huck to flat on a hardtail 😂
Evil imperial from 2002 with dual crown forks sending a massive stair gap
As someone with a dodgy ankle this comment hurt even to just read 😂
Why do you hate our joints so much?
@Pinkbike hehehehe 😂
OUCH..
*Grandson lives out from town on 18 acres and the **Latest.Bike** is great on trails through the woods, on gravel driveway, and through the yard. Keeps them active. Thanks Easter Bunny*
1:47 was the #1 landing... *INTENSE* soaked it up perfectly 🏆🍻😎
it's my fave looking one as well...
I love my recluse!
Yeti did better
Josiah Golding it’s a primer
Ethan Benton I know that. I only said that because all intense bikes are so rad
You guys are literally the only one's doing these group Huck to flat videos. Love it!
0:33 that pedal strike against the ground
Scrape works
When ur bottom bracket is so low you pedal strike whenever u bottom out
1:13 is it just me or i just saw the handlebar flex
JJ_ Tran07 they are meant to flex a little
It was “the force”...nothing to worry about:P
Look at the Mondraker at 0.5 speed, the whole front end flexed
yes but why would this be a surprise?
Carbon can flex
You guys should do a field test but for downhill bikes that would be sick!!
that would be great because then we can see the 200mm of travel instead of 140mm
I have been waiting for a dh test
vid will be looonger :D
And that wouldn't hurt their joints 😂
Vital mtb did a test too, but it doesn't have this many bikes
Seeing the chain slap the pavement was an interesting eye opener, that Mondraker looks absolutely terrifying.
The S-works slap the pavement with pedals.... at 0.30”
It surprises me that chains don't pop more regularly with that kind of movement
@@cedricgtrable That was the rider’s fault though
2:58 looks kinda nasty near the fork😬
1:29 - Chain on the S-Works slaps the ground
2:33 - Holy shit!
Hey alex, what's the full name of s-works and its next bike?
2:32 what a bar flex!
That water bottle cage @ 1:42 is the real hero of this story.
2:32 Look at the fork 😲
@@nils_1126 Because it flexes like crazy
if you look close, you can see that Jason is braking when landing,
-> it applies even more force to the fork
@@bouzillator06 why is the tire spinning in the air then?
W Lance because it’s in super slomo, he wasn’t braking all the way, tires take time to stop, etc etc
@@bouzillator06 Not braking at all. Wheel stops spinning to compensate for the loss of wheelbase length during compression.
2:33 That Mondraker looked like it was about to snap.
It sure did look like it..
Nahh
The tires stopped rolling 🤯
he pulled the front brake when landing ..
Arthur Arthur I’m thinking about why he did that? Maybe an accident because of the impact?
Loving THIS! God Bless this Field TEST! Thanks for this Test!
*i broke the pole*
guy: meeeen , that's my favourite one.
me: men thats my 3 years salary
Me : man thats 100 years of friking pocket money
Levy sure can whine...🤣🤣🤣
This was pretty huckin' fun to watch. Did he say how high he was off the ground? Was it the same on all the bikes? The slo-mo on this is really interesting. Just watching how some of the suspension links move & how close the front tires come to the downtubes sometimes! Which brings me to this: "We set all the bike's suspensions to 30% sag". Is that what the manufacturers all say to do? Some bike/shock combos recommend a little as 15%. Just wondering if they were set up per manufacturer recommendations for this rider's weight? It was surprising that all of these bikes completely blew through their travel... and really fun to watch!!! 🐱🏍👍✔
I didn't find it surprising at all. Hucks to flat are the most stressful situation you an put a bike under. I can drop my bike from 3 foot to flat and bottom it out, that won't happen on a 20ft send with a landing though.
If you wanna know how high it was you should have watch the video to the end. Also it wasn't as high as last year
KingBlueSlims I think your forks and shock are a bit to hard lol
KingBlueSlims 3ft? What bike are you riding 😂
@@elliottmusa135 One with wheels
For sale: never ridden on the trails, weekend city rides
Downhill version of this should be next! Love this camera with the super slow mo it really shows how everything, suspension, linkage, even the frame, etc works under huge stress!
This is always my favorite video of the field tests every year.
One of my favourite videos of the year
@2:35 damn.. the handlebar tdid most of the suspension in that one....
Ahhh one of the small, beautiful pleasures of life. Working on a job you love in the holiday season and just as you finish, enjoying a well executed video on bicycles; with the right time length, like a juicy, delicious chocolate morsel! Well done, thank you for the treat, Happy Holiday season and may the creators and all of us who enjoy cycling, be joyous and prosperous!
Edit: Ooh, and the formarm vibrations... sick bros😆.
This should come as a standard test with all bike so you can see how the suspension works full travel!! Excellent footage
Crazy how much flex is in the stanchions once they bottom out. Some of those looked harder than others!
Especially those pikes
How much they wobble has a lot to do with how the bike is landed. Rear wheel first - scary wobble. Front wheel first - a lot less.
My two takeaways- There's notable wheel base decrease at full bottom-out, and the initial unsprung mass rebound upon contact surprised me. Physics!
Its crazy how short the wheelbases get at full compression.
Also, i dont envy your joints after this, the commitment is real.
That Enduro nearly dug the front cog in the concrete.
That travel has to come from somewhere. It should come with a bash guard stock!
Rear tire failure?
@@michaellee8226 Might be, but it leaves the front cog very prone to rock strikes and what not.
The mondraker and GG looked like they nearly bucked you off. Interesting to see how much the different handlebars flexed and rebounded
The flex on some of those frames where pretty intense . Pretty solid hits for the Trek, yeti, and Norco
BAMBAM RICKY They look like they couldn’t take much more than that
@@stevenwilliams7845 right! I was just waiting for that SNAP SNAP to be caught in that slo mo spotlight lol
Soooo good!!! Sick edit!!!!
That background music was just awsome! And video to!👀🖤
Craziest part is seeing all your muscles firing off on the landings. You can see the individual muscle groups working in conjunction to stabilize your body via arms and legs 👍🏽
Those handlebars look like they flex so much
So much flex in the front forks of all those bikes
Holy shit! Best field test video I’ve seen so far! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That trek looked like it was about to snap 😂
So satisfying
Nice Christmas vid !!
Best video I've seen this year
I'd love to see you guys do this with that new road/gravel bike, I forget the makers name, that has the leaf spring like front suspension.
The angle in which each frame moves forward under compression shows a lot about the design of the suspension travel
I thought this was a hoonigan intro!! Cars and bikes are the coolest things
I really like these videos there really cool to see bikes be hucked flat!
Merry Christmas
merry boxing day
Looked like the IBIS handled it the best. Which one felt like it took it the best? And which models were they!!
The Ibis is 275. I noticed all the 29 forks flexed. Probably do to the longer length.
Every bike that had a pike Fork bottomed out completely and more quickly than the others...
I've always maintained that RockShox are second-rate. 🤦♂️
@@Cookie-Dough-Dynamo yeah, noticed that too
Flying Lap Productions I’m pretty sure the fox forks were also at the bottom. Fox forks have an extra 10mm of stanchion above full travel. That is how it was on my 34 performance elite and a quick google seems to back that up across their line.
@@archetypex65 for one, almost all the 36's bottomed out completely, also the pike is a trail fork with a lot less travel than all the bikes with a 36 and therefore cannot absorb as much energy with the same sag%
Edit: all the 34's (pike equivalent) bottomed out as quickly and harshly as the pike so there really isn't much difference between rockshox and fox in this test
The engineering is absolutely 😵💥❤️
Intense for life!
Some of those chains really slapped into the ground. I guess clutches have their limits too.
I love the enduros linkage. It looks like an Achilles’ tendon
Crazy to see how much these bars flex
Balls deep with these bikes.
Gives a whole new meaning to smeash it
Fun fact: half of these bike were to small for him!
yes
Too*
Great work on this reviews
That was so satisfying to watch 👍
Man, that Yeti rear end looked like it was in pain trying to recover from that.
The video got really intense at 1:55😉
Damn you for making me click
Bagus sekali buat inspirasi saya. Terima kasih Mr.
The shock do be pumpin.
the flex on the 34’s 🤯
34 bad pike gud
My god... I don't think I've ever seen a bike fork bottom out. At least, never to that extent.
Mind you, my eyes are not a 1000fps camera.
Great video, I thought the head tube/fork on the red and black Pivot was about to snap off.
Awesome! More please, but don't hurt yourselves doing it. Maybe do every brands full suspension lineup.
Try doing that Solid seat post at full height on a hard tail 26” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤘🏼
This video makes me feel nervous about forks
This is amazingly satisfying
Video of the year
0:33 Merry Christmas your gonna need a new face, pedals and shoes😂 His bloody feet are ON the floor, but seriously Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year🤙
Intense seemed to take it very well 🤔
Yes but you do need some flex otherwise frame will just crack
I find it astounding how much the wheelbase changes between extended and compressed suspension.
Crazy the stress/load frames and components can take.
African children could have eaten these bikes.
Yeah, fuck capitalism
Thought this meme was gone.
Bruh people are gettin pretty high from this joke
philip Trevor and u have proof for that?
African children should be allowed to run their own business without the fuckin government getting involved.
No Giant?
No
No
No
Wtf wromg with theese no people 😁
It broke before they could even take it off the jump... 😂
Awesome video. Congrats
I love how the wheels get closer
Me when someone tickles my neck
That sworks folded
made it like that... to handle better the crash ... but it did handle like nothinggg
Why is this even this fun to watch
Nice testing
Thank you for the free ear cleaning at 00:00
But that 2:32 mondraker though, soo flexible...
Embedded frame suspension to help the fork/shock. Nothing wrong with some wobble here and there, especially on technical trails, if it does not break. Mondraker will say that is a feature, not a bug (taps temple.gif)
Edit: this comment is meant as a pamphlet/sarcasm
@@derzemel Hell yeah, that's exactly what some companies want us to belive. So many years in making bikes and you still need to worry about breaking your bike. Shame...
THANK YOU
This is Crazy!

Me watching the bikes I can't afford getting wrecked. This is so heart breaking. 🇵🇭
That's okay bro, many rich old people spend tons of money on awesome looking bikes thinking chix would dig them but nah, you only look cool if your young man riding an awesome mtb :) Cheers! No need to be jealous.
Great series! I would like to see a Nicolai Ion G1 been hooked to flat.
Some bikes take the hit well and look stable. Some are wabling so hard, that you guess they will never get into their normal shape again. Guess lot of them are carbon frames.
Anyway very impressing!
so amazing!
Looks like the shock companies have some work to do, too much compression dampening is causing the wheel to bounce on contact.
Interesting.
If a skinny dude does that to bikes, I shudder to think what horrible abuse my 120 mm travel is absorbing.
sapinva I wouldn’t call him “a skinny dude”
You’re telling me. I’m 245 on a 100mm travel cc bike that I ride like a downhill bike.
if you watch the other videos you'll see he's 6'1" 205lbs (185cm 93kg) - not a small guy
@@bartzalewski Guess not. Smaller than me though, and those bikes have a fair amount of suspension. I always worry about the wheels, after this I wonder how the fork survives.
Haha same! I’m 6’ 2.5” and 220. I ride an Ibis Ripley and set suspension to just under 30% travel. I wonder how high he was dropping from. 😅
Marvelous.
Excelente video, más videos así, saludos
I’m a simple man, i see Jason , I click
1:20 what's that bike?
ibis ripmo
@@hamSAH713 thanks, it looks sick
@@zacg2953 It's looks like Ibis Mojo, actually.
MrSatchelpack ah ok thanks!
@@zacg2953 i usually get confused between them 2
Damn that phantom camera is hella expensive but it’s for this type of slow mo awesome 🤙🏻
Awesome suspension 👌
