I'm in love with Nightwish for more than 20 years. I'm also in love with Dimash last 3 years. You must (not may) to search more. He haves some really awesome songs. He's the best male voice today on earth.
2 songs you have to listen are "Ogni pietra" & "Sinful Passion". Damn goooooood!!

"Miraculous Voice of Kazakhstan", "Space Boy", Dimash Kudaibergen The 6 Octave man. His voice fits three and more: baritone, tenor and altino, the male version of the soprano. His vocal range is six octaves - from the contractava to the fifth octave. He plays seven instruments and sings in twelve languages. In his homeland, Kazakhstan, Dimash, has received so many prizes imaginable ...
In China, he was recognized as "The most popular singer in Asia" ..
According to the Top Chinese Music Awards, "Dimash was recognized as the best foreign singer." According to MTV, "Singer of the Year" as well as for the "OK" magazine, and for 10 more magazines.
he has 114 fan clubs in 46 countries, and the number of his fans has exceeded 10 million. He's only 25 years old. Dimash's popularity seems like an anachronism. Just like the Beatles, in the sixties, (their fans were ready to lie under a tank), Now in 2019, a young Kazakh with the appearance of a manga hero and the wisdom of an Eastern philosopher provokes adoration almost hysterical.
Thanks for your very spirited reactions like everyone else, we are swept away by the magic of Dimash's amazing vocals. Continue to enjoy your journey with this new rising star by reacting to some incredible performances.

PLEASE continue with Dimash. This was episode 1 of 14 during the competition in China I am Singer 2017 where it was for professionals and they invited Dimash as a wildcard. He was unknown in China & the youngest & first foreigner as he is from Kazakhstan. The episodes were a week apart so the songs had to be mastered in 1 week. Dimash sang 5 in English & the other 8 in other languages. He has been getting better with languages & pronunciation ever since then. You can get back stories & performance with subtitles from the channel Gloria Wu. For later songs you can find videos with subtitles on Gloria's or Dimash Kudaibergen or Holistic Freedom Lifestyle-Awakening With Joy. Dimash sings in 12 languages & plays 7 instruments and sings in all genres. He also expresses a lot with his hands. Also watch for the times he removes an earpiece or falls or jumps to his knees, as it happens before something special.

Thank you for your reaction to Dimash! But I think that even if we don’t understand what the lyrics of a song are, or how he pronounces the words, we can still enjoy him as he can sing in different languages that are not his native language and still sounds amazing. That is the beauty of music, it has not language, place, shape or form one can still feel it, live it, enjoy it. He is in my opinion a master of performing in a way that his whole body tells a story, one cannot help but be mesmerized by his ability to sing and deliver the message of the song. He is simply amazing.

what you see is not an ordinary singer. he is a master in his field (singing). Singing is not only his life but also his education. Kudaibergen completed the Broadway Musical master class in 2009. In 2014 he graduated in Classical Music (Bel Canto) from the music department of the University of K. Zhubanov in Aktobe. He graduated from the Kazakh National University of Art in Astana where he graduated on 27 June 2018 with the Vocal Department.

Dimash sings Chinese with slightly accent. As a native Chinese speaker I would say that his accent is purely acceptable. You should see his NY concert video showing a group of fans from around the world (and not all of them look like Chinese) singing a Chinese song with him. Your critique about his pronunciations sound more like a linguistic professor rather than a musician. Perhaps you should listen to his Russian song "Opera 2" ("The Singer" version, 2017) so you can just concentrate on his singing technique.
The video you have watched is Dimash's first debut in Chinese TV singing competition series "The Singer" back to 2017. Even before that, he has already won multiple singing competitions. He is well-known in China and Russia and has done his first solo concert in the Barclays Center in NY on December 10, 2019. I guess it's never too late to meet a great voice even if it comes with an accent -- an accent could be charming to some people because of its uniqueness.

Nobody can take away from Dimash that he has a good voice, and he knows how to use it and control it very well. And I like his flute like quality in his softer high notes. With that said: every performance I've seen with him, I always sit back with the feeling that he arranges his songs for maximum wow factor and to fit his entire range. So I hope he has a long carrier ahead of him, so that we get to hear a more fully formed and mature singer who tempers his voice to fit the song and not the other way around.

I don't think that his goal is the maximum wow factor. I'd rather think that he uses all his tools to create something different and compelling. The focus of the songs are always the story and the emotions. Also the songs, which he became popular with, were from "I Am a Singer", and I guess were chosen to show his range and technique in the competition. However, in his concerts and in his album iD he sings beautiful, heart-wrenching ballads with amazing lyrics (there are subtitles on CZcams for the songs, which are not in English), which are not so complex vocally, for example, Give Me Love, Samaltau, Kusni Korlan, Karagim-Ay, Karatorgay, My Swan, I Miss You, Moonlight Mama, Aykaragoz (Ft. Alisher), Don't Make Me Dream, Just Let It Be, I Only Love You, Couldn't Leave, If I Never Breathe Again.

The interesting thing about him pronouncing the "s" is that he had performed this song many times before this show and did not pronounce the "s". I'm pretty sure that he was extremely nervous, being the first performance on this show and never having sung in China before. If you listen to him sing it in his Arnau concert, which was a couple of years later, his pronunciation of the entire song is better. I hope you do more reactions to Dimash. As if his pronunciation mattered! Although I'm not fluent, I understand French, so in my first hearing I noticed his errors in some small and remote part of my mind, but was so blown away by his vocals and his embodiment of the lyrics, that I couldn't care less about his pronunciation.
Maybe it helps that I'm way too used to foreign singers that when singing in my mother tongue (Spanish), they misspronunce. Anyway, that does not diminish my hearing experience in the least. I think that this reaction has too much talking about French, and not enough about vocals. Thank God she gave him credit for the interpretation of the song, for conveying the meaning of the lyrics to the listener. Little does she know that Dimash is the ultimate storyteller, in any language; that he doesn't perform a song until he "gets" the lyrics, makes it his own, and is able to embody its meaning with all his heart and soul.

His creative ability (among other things) to re-arrange songs to fit his tessitura and to project the story and the associated feelings in them is simply incredible. To get and appreciate this roller-coaster effect fully, something like "Sinful Passion" from him would be appropriate for a future reaction.
A couple more superlative storytellers to watch in the future are Lara Fabian (I'm guessing you know her, you being from Quebec and all), and Sohyang (a South Korean Gospel singer). Terrific voices, put to great use. Keep the goodness coming, cheers..C:

About his pronunciation of “vis” and “ris”: Strangely enough, in his older and later performances of SOS, he never pronounced the S. I suppose he was extremely nervous since this was his first performance in China. If he didn’t make the top six in the first two episodes, he would have been eliminated. Everyone was a well-known award-winning Chinese singer whereas Dimash was a total unknown in China. Of course, he shouldn’t have worried at all. That day he ranked first.
The song SOS d’un Terrien en Détresse is from the 1978 French Canadian rock opera Starmania. From Québec actually! 😉 Originally sung by Daniel Balavoine. It amazes me that back then I would be listening daily to Le Monde Est Stone but had never heard this song.
Please do react to more Dimash! I’d love to hear more of your comments! Opera 2; Adagio; Ocean Over the Time; Love is Like a Dream; Unforgettable Day (live at Gakku); Ogni Pietra.

There is a big difference between making a pronunciation mistake while speaking live in front of a camera and while singing something that you have rehearsed a lot. There should have been someone with enough knowledge in his entourage to tell him exactly how words should be pronounced. It sounds like an English speaker tried to teach him how to say the words in French. In the same song he use both vis and vie, just tell him they should sound the same. It doesn't remove anything from his performance to me, he is an awesome singer.

He is a master on stage...he has powerful stage presence and that itself draws people in and he controls the atmosphere with that and his very carefully planned out vocals. If no one had ever heard of Dimash and watched this they didn't have a decent opportunity to even experience what he is about. This was stopped way too often unnecessarily. Welcome to Dimash world. Prepare to get your socks knocked off. Btw, this is a very early performance of his. He has, of course, performed in front of hundreds of thousands of people from Russia to New York and L.A., including this song, many times, in which his French and English have also improved impressively. He sings in 12 languages and plays 7 instruments. He is super talented, and seing a world class talent, arguably the BEST singer in the world, as well as one so humble and powerful, come out of Kazakhstan is such a triumph and delight.

I 've just watched another reaction you did to Dimash (Sinful passion I think) and there you say that in SOS he is doing a bit too much. Well, here in the reaction to SOS itself, you did not say that :). He is doing much, true, but he is doing it in a singing contest, therefore it makes perfect sense. I think it is even his first rendition of the song, so the ones that followed could not be done any differently since people were expecting this explosion in the song. I personally love everything about it, I do not think that the whole voice showcasing damages the message of the song in any way, but it enhances it. To me this is perfect. Also, I agree with all your comments. I am sure Dimash does not speak a word of French and has only learned the words in this song. For sure he knows exactly what they mean, but it is also obvious that he finds it quite difficult to pronounce them. Actually, he finds it very difficult, near impossible, because he is perfect otherwise and he has studied this song inside and out and even reinvented it and it is in his blood by now. All he does he does to perfection. So if his French is not perfect, it is for sure the best he could achieve after a monster fight with the words. Who knows, maybe he was also a little under the stress of the contest here. I have learned French in school and of course I noticed the mistakes immediately. In some parts he does not even sing the words that are written on screen. The thing is that this does not bother me at all. I have seen this video so many times and I just don't grow tired of it. I see something divine in Dimash. He still brings me to tears, just like the first time I heard him. I guess it is true that one must not understand the words in order to get the message if the artist is such an artist. I can also understand that native French speakers could be a bit more bothered by the pronunciation than me.

A duet between Dimash and Floor would be great. Or Dimash as a guest singer with nightwish would also be awesome.

Hiii I am a big Dimash fan. It was good to know what a native French would say about his French prounouciation. I have listened to the original song, as I don't speak the language myself, to my ears they both sounded the same, well except for "ja vis" that was more obvious. Considering that Dimash does not speak French I think he still did an impressive job with this song, language-wise.

This song is from a 1970's French rock opera written for a singer with a 4.5 octave range. Dimash has over 6 octaves. His highest note, a whistle note was a D8, which they dubbed the dolphin whistle because it goes off the piano keys. He started classical training when he was 5 and he is 25 now. He still trains at least 3 hours a day plus swims for breath his control. He has a degree in music and is still studying for another degree. He writes, composes, plays 8'instruments, has perfect pitch. He speaks 2 languages fluently Kazakh his native tongue and Russian and is working on Mandarin ( conversationally) and English (understands better than he speaks though he is getting much better in speaking it) and sings in a dozen languages.
After he sang this song he was asked to go to Paris to sing for some big wigs because the Rock Opera is quite famous there and Dimash did a much better version, with the pronunciation being worked on, that you can find online. He is 6'3" tall, he can dance. He seems to be very kind and humble and has millions of followers which he has dubbed his "dears". His mother is a very successful opera singer and his father was a very successful pop singer and composer and is Dimash's manager. His younger brother plays an instrument, the Dumbra at Dimash's concerts sometimes and his sister, also younger has sang a couple times at his concerts. She is quite good. Dimash still lives at home where he grew up in a close knit family consisting of his paternal grandparents, his mother and father and his brother and sister.
