He is famous for having an unusually wide vocal range and his ability to sing in more than fifteen languages. Dimash was born Dinmukhammed Kanatuly Kudaibergen in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan on the 24th of May, 1994.
When he was only five years old, Dimash began taking vocal and piano lessons at the children's section of the Akhmet Zhubanov Music College. He continued his training throughout his school years and eventually attended the music institute of K. Zhubanov University. He graduated in 2014 with a classical music degree centred on vocal ability. He continued his musical education by studying contemporary music Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana.
He successfully received a Master's degree in Composition and was even recommended for the PhD program. Throughout his time at university, Dimash entered four major singing competitions in Kazakhstan. He won the National Zhas Kanat Contest with a perfect score of 180 out of 180, which was unprecedented in the competition's history. In December 2014, he was awarded a laureate of the State Youth Prize Daryn.
He released his first album in China the same year, and it went platinum in thirty-seven seconds!

I cant say he is best singer in the world because answer will be subjective anyway thats question like which one is better Vincent van Gogh or Leonardo da Vinci but as amateur vocalist I can say technicially he is best vocalist who is still living in the planet not just because of he has amazing range but he mastered at every register and technics especially his flageolet register(his soprano falsetto voice) also his whistle register better then any male singer then I ever heard and his mix register technic incredible and he mastered at belt canto technics at level of opera singers

He practice 3 hours a day, his been singing since he stared to talk. Both parents are singers plus he has studied all his life in music schools. He has a GOD giving talent, plus train every day and for his excepcional breathing he swims every day.
I really like this reaction because you can clearly see she is speechless which proves it's really the first time she sees this video. I feel like everyone who watches this for the first time is just amazed and doesn't really know how to react. Many other reactions the coaches knew exactly what he was doing at every seconds and that doesn't seem genuine. It looks like they analysed the song before posting their reaction.

I agree. I can't handle my emotions and i could not believe of what I've heard, so there were many times I had shocking expression because his voice is unbelievable. And by the time I heard Sinful passion , it was overwhelming. You know, like a woman that has multiple orgasm after he is done with that 25 seconds non-stop.

There has never been a voice like his; there will never be one like him. He’s already a myth and will go into the distant future as a myth, as a legend. He’s the God of singing. He’s the Orpheus concept humanity has envisaged as the perfect singer, the epitome of voice and singing. I hope he comes to Canada do that I will have the chance to listen to him live!
He is simply gifted. Of course he trained a lot, but singing an F sharp with no effort and going even higher is nothing you can simply train. There are limitations unique to every human. His limits are simply different from most peoples limits, tho of course he trained his gift to the greatest effect.
His mother is an opera singer. Dimash started training at 4 years old. He also plays 5 different instruments and can sing in 12 different languages. Dimash and VITAS are two GEMS the world has witnessed in our lifetime.
Jiffyyoyo Dimash has proven beyond doubt that he is the real deal, as for vitas I’m not convinced ‘yet’, so far no videos or explanations I’ve seen manage to clear my doubts. See these super rare clips of his real voice, very mediocre voice, so-do high notes, only sound better at the end after some editing. How could this kind of ‘meh’ voice suddenly able to sing like an electric guitar in songs like opera 2 and dedication is beyond me. It’s like Mr Bean suddenly look like Tom Cruise without plastic surgery, mission impossible! Anyway, just ranting whenever I see people believe vitas actually sings those high notes without computer help, don’t mind me.

so many parts of it showing that he was lip syncing again. Here are time stamps where the voice started when the mic is away or before he even opened his mouth 0:16, 0:24, 1:03, 2:18, 3:32, 3:57. And at 1:24 the opposite happens, he put the mic to his mouth and opened his mouth too soon before the voice started.
Also, this CZcamsr explains the possible tricks vitas is using. At the end of the video u can clearly hear two voices, he was singing two octaves lower while the speakers just played the recorded sound track.

As a musician from the age of 13 playing multiple instruments and vocal coach for the last 20 years, i've always been amazed by some of the vocalist i listen to. Dimash is by far an extrodinary and gifted singer, a prodigy that comes out of nowhere and takes our breath away... His voice agility and range from a C2 thru D8 surpasses any singer that is currently out there. As a 6 octave vocal range he is the maestro of his vocal chords and as a pianist who wishes to hit any particular note, so can Dimash. Superb!!! And Out Of This World!!!🎶🎶🎶

Don't have a clue who this is, but this person has literally touched my soul with his voice. It's almost as if he's defining mother nature herself with his singing. Beautiful does not begin to describe it, his voice is literally celestial, out of this world.

The dude is in a league of voice talent all of his own. Never even heard of him before today but its amazing to think that people like this actually exist and you dont even hear about them. Thank You for your Reaction...Dimash is amazing to us who know nothing but when professionals react...it's a treat for us....Dimash is 24 now..has called his music Neoclassical...they offered him a position in the Astana Opera but he wanted to experiment with his voice...His parents are both singers...the family is very musical...He was raised in Aktobe, Kazakhstan and has done in my opinion so much in his young life...Please continue to react to him..He is a beautiful person inside and out...with an audience from birth to a 100+....SOS was my first song too...He was in a contest with Professional singers who had established themselves already...so SOS...had to grab their attention...which it did...He was brought in as a dark horse so they put him first...He won that round...and overnite had to have security...which was a surprise for him too...anyway..we Dears love him and I think you will too...

Dimash is classically trained since age 5 in singing and multiple instruments after his parents (both professional singer) discovered that he has perfect pitch and a unusual passion for music. As crazy as it sounds this was only a small piece of his abilities.
Love you analysis - Dimash has a huge international fanbase who just loves to listen to people who actually had the knowledge to explain what he is doing and to learn.
@August McLaren he was classically trained as an opera singer as well as in modern music styles. Perfect pitch / absolute pitch / hearing is an very rare ability when a person can identify notes without any reference.

In an interview they said he has a 5 octave voice range. I first saw him on The Singer a show similar to America's got talent but slightly different format. He was chosen as a wild card entrant. They said he had won 1st place but officials said they wanted someone people in China would know so they dropped him to second place. His parents are singers and he started when he was 5 years old. He can play several instruments. During a special holiday performance in Kazastan (spelling??) the country''s officials called him King of music for their country. He studied both classical and pop musical formats. I am 71 and I fell in love with his voice when I heard his first song, can't remember the name of it but it wasn't SOS and it had a lot of high notes in it. Dimash plays with his voice and gives his all during a performance for his "Dears" (fans). He has burst onto the music world and continues to impress people all around the world. He is very family oriented and mom and dad are usually somewhere in the background when he is putting on a big show or competing. His family history is very interesting too.
Two levels of singing:
1. All humans making sounds come out of their mouths.
2. Dimash.
Hope you appreciate him as much as his fans do. His mom has been an opera singer since before he was born. He’s been studying music since he was 4 years old. He is a fascinating person.
He surpasses what people can even wish they can do. And change his pitches when ever he feels like too

One of my favorite reactions because she isn't hamming up emotions, she isn't overreacting to every note, and you can see her genuinely becoming engrossed in the emotion. She spends as much time enjoying the music as she does analyzing it.

If the lyrics posted are correct I just want to say wow what a beautiful song. You dont hear lyrics in America like this. Very poetic. It's something that inspires. Not to put aside his singing abilities. Yet I'm glad somebody translated this.
It's wonderful to see someone with vocal training react to Dimash and explain some of his techniques. Dimash has been training since he was 5 years old. He went to an arts school were he was taught to play several instruments, given vocal lessons and drama. He then went to University studying music. He was accepted into an opera house after graduation but he declined to seek a solo career. He mixes opera with pop and folk to create a new style of music. He calls it Neo-classical . His mother is an opera singer and his father is also a singer /record producer. His younger brother and sister are also musically talented.
His voice is INCREDIBLE and his control with the notes!! Yes, less of an effort… effortlessly!!! 🤯🤯🤯🔥🔥🔥

Oh man.. ur facial expressions near the end were deep and powerfully felt... o-m-g... Wow.... gulp. When he began that last run up from the bottom, 1/3 the way up he shifted gears and I felt it in ur face and body movements. Then near the top, u had to close ur eye for a top note, then he climbs twice more into the stratosphere and over the TOP driving off a few notes downward... that was a rollercoaster ride!! Hehehehehe. It reminds me of the song from the movie 5th Element :-)... I'm bac... OMG... I keep rewatching ur expressions on the last runs... chit... hhhhhh... OMG. He is not only a talent show competitor. He lectures music, can speak about 7 or 9 languages, finished his masters degree and is busy with his doctorate. He can also play a bunch of instruments. He is enormously gifted and a very humble person.
His mother is an opera singer, his father a pop star/music producer and he started extensive formal musical training at age 5 on instruments and vocals. He has said that his vocal chords are longer than usual and when the "voice change" happened he didn't lose his high notes but just extended his lower range. As a teen he trained operatically at an arts school but with his range that meant performing as a tenor and a soprano. His tone is so exceptional he was actually part of the female section of the choir. He then studied rock, pop and RnB vocal styles in college where he obtained a degree in The Art of Stage Performance/Variety Vocal.
It's like he was crafted to be a perfect singer.
I think you would SOS so many times, that's what happened to me back in 2017, even if you are not listening, his voice just keeps playing in your mind until I can't take it, I have to turn on SOS again then I feed better....if you continue to check out his other songs you will be even more amazed. I think he has trained since he was 5 or 6 years old, so he didn't lose his high register that he had as a kid. Mother a clasical singer, father a producer if I remember correctly.

Hey, one minute, let me tell you everything 😄 he is just 24 and he is singing for 20 years as you can see how much practicing that he did. Beside of singing, he plays lots of instruments like piano, guitar, drums, dombra etc. Actually he mixes all of the styles like opera, pop, rock even rap haha!! Everything fits him also everyone says him "alien" because of the range (6 octaves). He can sing with this range, showing us like everything normal and easy to do haha! and this tv show, the competition like The Voice. But the difference is the contestants are real famous singers. Name is The Singer 2017. Dimash was the one of the youngest contestant. Please react his other songs too like "Opera 2", "Adagio", "Late autumn", "Confessa+diva dance" "Hello", etc. Especially, I want to watch you when you react Adagio, you will shock again. Haha, I am talking about shocking but every single time when I listen him, I am shocking again. Therefore let me say you something too: in his Gakku concert he sang "Unforgettable Day(his own song)" which we heard the most incredible note as ever (D8) from a guy. Like you said what is crazy about this is that not only he has so many textures and timbers to his voice which unbelievable but he masters them all, like he's great female opera singer, a great male, Opera singer, a pop/R&B singer, a rock singer

no. He is not more comfortable in a register where the larynx is tensing up his neck ffs. It may be easier for him if his lower notes are badly positioned and because of this tense up, but other than that, for a male to be comfortable in a range where it is unnatural to sing, regardless of how many octaves of range you have, is bullshit.
