How would you know if the arrow would be placed on a distance like either on C, behind C, between C and F, at F, and beyond F on the diagram? There's like a cm number of where its placed, like if it was placed on a distance of 24.2 cm, where would it place on the line.
The position of the arrow ( object ) is at predecided position. The standard points are what we have taken into consideration. Ray diagrams are not asked for distance of objects with values. In case if they do you need to draw for the correct focal length of the mirror given to you which might not be possible on paper. Hope my answer have done justice to your question.
