    The most impressive part of this trick is Penn doing the entire performance with a dollar bill in his nose.

    why can we not see this trick without the camera cutting away all the time... especially in the time between when Katie gives Penn the bill and he gives her his bill. Hmmmm...

    they do too many camera changes, so you can't see, but at 1:07 he gives back to her the bill that she started with. And again, they do too many camera switches, but at 2:36, Teller doesn't actually put the bill into the lemon. it stays in his hand. notice how this time they didn't have her sign the bill before the trick.

    1:04 Why would he kiss her dollar? At that point she never looked at her serial number. Penn held both dollars and just switched her dollar with his which he already had up his nose. Teller later just palms the other little piece.

    thanks P&T the best gift is to use the knowledge of magician against them. I was fooled thinking the lemon had a bill

    Multiple methods going on here: people have already spotted the false switch by Penn, and the palmed bill by Teller. But the primary method is gimmicked props. You go to the bank and get two bills with nearly identical serial numbers. Cut both bills together using an exacto knife so it will line up later. Glue the corner of one bill to another. Stuff the 3/4 bill up your nose, and start the trick. The gimmicked bill at the beginning is a conglomeration of the top corner of the bill already stuffed up Penn's nose, and a second bill with a similar serial number. They don't let her inspect the prop or tear the bill, because the bill was pre-cut and not torn.

    The trick is Teller's right hand.

      You can't see Teller's right hand after he "stuffed the bill into the lemon." Later on, you can see Teller's right hand pass behind her back just as Penn's right hand does. I think that's when Teller handed the bill to Penn.
      As to how Penn got the bill up his nose with no one noticing, I have no idea but I think him saying "that's my nose" as everyone was focused on Katie cutting the lemon may give a hint to the timing.

      @dragoslove Před 21 dnem +1

      @@breaker6683 It's more likely that the bill was already there and penn swapped out the piece that she was keeping to match them. I couldn't see the serial number on the initial bill to confirm.

    • @3dmagictricks
      @3dmagictricks Před 21 dnem +1

      switch is so unnecessary, there is nothing in the lemon lol there was however 5 min of misdirection. pen could have taken his clothes off and no one would notice

  • @grgryl
    @grgryl Před 21 dnem

    This is the opposite of Bill to Lemon. They should do this with a signed bill instead of serial number.

    Brook is attractive but why does she wear the same dress every show - is it a uniform?

    • @BenBrand
      @BenBrand Před 22 dny +5

      Everybody comments that but nobody asks why Penn and Teller were the same thing every show. The order that they film is not the same as the order that they air. So this allows them to change the order without it looking like they are changing clothes back and forth during a single TV airing.

      I believe that every host has done this since the show started. I think Jonathan, but definitely Allison. One outfit per season.

    • @kenherrera2819
      @kenherrera2819 Před 22 dny +1

      PLEASE let her wear something that looks more attractive... that outfit is just mind-jarring. I never noticed that Allison wore the same thing for an entire season, maybe because I've watched so many of her spots on CZcams... I may just not have noticed but I can't recall ever seeing her wearing the same clothes.

      It's for editing purposes. They might film things at different times maybe even different days. Helps with smoother footage.
