EC3 is good friends with AEW megastar Christian Cage, an association that goes back to a training session where he learned main event pacing. Cage isn't the biggest fan of former WWE head writer Vince Russo, and he made this clear to the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. Russo spoke about working with the current TNT Champion and how his desire for perfection may have cost him the top spot, in this edition of The Wrestling Outlaws. And at the end, everyone talks about their favorite ice cream flavors!

Christian Cage is great most of the time you hear stories about him from other wrestlers about being him being one of the best minds in the business and very underrated
Correct. Not only is Christian the best wrestler in 2023, he’s also more talented creatively than Russo.
Christian is the best heel in the business..met him & he’s a real dude..big fan of his and Russo.
Outside of wrestling being a perfectionist is both a blessing and a horrible curse. I suffer from that BIG TIME myself in my line of work. I get heat for it at times because of it.
I am not surprised. I met Christian 25 years ago after a WWE Show in a bar in Tallahassee. He wasn't very friendly then. And from what I hear, he isn't very friendly now.

Funny you say that cause I met him when he was in TNA. I was too shy to ask him to sign a mug (couldn’t find anything better unfortunately), but he noticed me just standing there awkwardly in the corner, taking pictures of him. So he came up to me and asked if I needed an autograph. After he signed, I sang… Christiannn Christiannn (his first theme after his split from Edge) and he just chuckled and said it’s his most favourite hilarious fan interaction ever. I wonder if he still remembers it lol
@iamsupernaut I would normally agree with you. The only problem is when he is at the same bar having drinks with both the Dudley Boys, both the Hardy Boys, the Godfather and Earl Hebner, I'd hardly call that keeping kayfabe, lol.

I don't get the why some people in the business think you shouldn't be in it unless you think you should be the top guy. There are always guys who know they'll never be the top guy and they're OK with it and companies rely on them to get top guys over, or to fill out the card, etc. If everyone want to be a top guy most of the guys on the roster will never be happy because there are so few spots. Look at guys like R Truth. The guy does tons of comedy spots but he's had almost no time in a main event spot. Hell look at guys like the Blue Meanie. The guy was entertaining and had his place on the card but he was never going to be a top guy anywhere. Doesn't mean he didn't have value.
Good job criticizing Christian for never reaching the same heights in WWE as Edge when EC3 is sitting there. They push who they want and EC3's horrible WWE runs should be proof of that. He was quite good in TNA and he was treated like garbage in WWE.
Christian's run with Tomko as his enforcer in TNA was great. WWE never let him show his personality before that. And once he came back he was old & struggling to fit in with the young flippy drippy guys on the roster. Edge was pushed well at the right time. And they used a shoot angle with him and Lita hooking up while she was involved with Matt Hardy to get him over & launch him to main event level.

@@georgealvarez1195’has been’ Christian is still better on mic and wrestling than Punk and has more longevity, while Punk turned out to be a bad investment for both companies. One pipe bomb promo is what made Punk. More than the promo it was the creative freedom given to him for that promo that put him over. Anybody could have name dropped Lesnar and ROH. Christian could have easily been the guy to cut that promo and would have been more over, as he legit was held back by Vince.
