This are on my wish list to get for my Big Buck Hunter. A bit pricey but I understand the quality is why. Nice review Cooltoy.
Maybe you can snag one on sale later on down the road. Glad you enjoyed the review 👍
Glen rocks!
He’s a great dude, he’s does great things for the gaming community and certainly deserves big props for all his hard work.
Great review, this was just little to much money for me so ended up buying two Sinden handguns direct from Sinden. I'm interested in the Retro Shooter MX24 preorder this week!
glad you enjoyed the review.
I was all in then went damn at the $250!
I just pre-ordered the mx24 for around the same price. I wonder if i made the right choice. Lots of choice competition in home arcade. We are so blessed.
Hope you like the new gun!
The best quality built lightgun that I have seen on the market.
I would definitely agree with that
Great review thank you
Thanks for watching!
I got a pair of the GRS shotguns for my Big Buck Hunter Deluxe. Over kill I know. Way better quality over the stock rifles. Very happy with them.
Nice! Glad to hear you are enjoying the guns
Glen makes a good product. Sinden compatibility. Is def another story
I’ve literally never had an issue with sinden compatibility with my pc
Happy others keeping the Sinden Love.
Sinden is my preferred light gun tech of choice for sure
@@cooltoy Still delievery the goods with updates for the masses. Be good to get even more models down the line from Andy and Glen.
I had nothing but ridiculous software issues with my Sinden guns. Well made yes, but they got a long way to go with ease of use.
Would love to see an option for a shorter cord for use just with A1U Big Buck. Be easier to manage. Product is amazing though!!
how much shorter of a cord are you wanting?
@@cooltoy I haven't been able to find the specs but from a few videos the cords appear to be much longer than the stock BBH cords, which is an ideal length for me. I am assuming they are longer because people like to use this for TV setups. If the GRS cord is actually the same length at BBH I will shut up about it:) Thanks for the review.
Do the guns fit in the buck arcade ?
Yep
does this gun require sensor to put on the sides of the screen?
Nope, sinden uses an on screen border to frame the game and the camera within the gun reads that framed image to interpret the location of your shot
Can u use 2 on the arcade 1up or just one gun??
You can use two on the Arcade1up machine
Looks great! What's that mummy game?
Haunted Museum by Taito
Dance mother... :D
I'm not a huge fan of the Sinden guns. Trying to get the guns detected or bring up the border is a big choir. The Best use case for Sinden is Batocera and even then the borders don't always show up. The sensors never fail to show because they are physically attached to the display.
I've never had an issue brining up the gun border, I just program it to one of the gun's side buttons and then it's a piece of cake to bring it up.
@@cooltoy Yeah. If I try to play Teknoparrot or many other games it doesn't wanna work without a huge fight.
@@MobileDecay are you playing your own teknoparrot set up or are you using someone else pre built light gun image?
@cooltoy I was fighting with my own but now my pc doesn't even recognize the guns when I plug them in. Batocera does though. No problems with the Retroshooters. Always the Sindens.
The best method i have found was to write AHK scripts to do the following:
- Force 1920x1080 resolution for all emulators (i also play over network, so this is mostly for interoperability purposes)
- Ensure windows focuses on the game window
- Load a calibrated save state (only relevant for some emulators)
- Use reshade to draw the border (this is the relevant one for you)
Using reshade means the border will draw 100% of the time, no exceptions.
This way of launching games lets me launch them straight from Steam and works with all emulators, from Teknoparrot to MAME.
I thought think light guns didnt work on modern screens.
There are a few companies making light guns that are specifically designed to work on modern screens
It seems great but at 250 dollars is almost as much as the Big Buck World Arcade1up cabinet it is recommended for.
It’s better served as being used with a raspberry pi or a pc as those perform so much better than the offerings from Arcade1up. Buying this gun for your Arcade1up doesn’t really make financial sense as you pointed out. It would be like putting a corvette engine in a Honda civic if you did.
Makes me scratch my head of some of Glenn's product decision.
How so?
🏁INSTABUY❤️
This light gun costs 250 dollars, which is half as much as I paid for my Big Buck World Arcade1up cabinet.
@nBasedAce keep in mind, most people are likely going to buy this for a PC or Raspberry Pi build, not an Arcade1Up machine.
I don't trust my hearing from the recoil. Does GRS Sinden Target Pro Light Gun recoil stronger impact compare to Kickstarter Sinden lightgun?
I suspect it's the same components used in both devices. Glen or Sinden would have to be the ones to answer specifically.
